I am trying to find where is the call log information: call duration and how many MB I used on mobile internet 3G or GPRS? For me it is important coz mobile internet in our country extremely expensive, so need to have control over how much did I used MB per month.

I was just wondering how, if possible, to check Internet usage? I'm with Orange on a monthly contract, think my allowance is 500GB a month? Is there a way to check usage as going along, don't fancy getting a bill at the end of the month which is huge! Say I use the Internet (Google, Facebook etc etc) one hour a day, is that a reasonable amount to be within the 500GB limit? I don't want to get a huge surprise when the monthly bill comes through.
View 5 Replies View RelatedO2 have changed the bolt on I had from unlimited usage of internet to 500mb per month. The row I had with them was of no benefit. Anyway, in the space of 3 days I have used 100mb already & haven't really been using browser or downloading (I did obtain album artwork for transferred music files on Mediascape though). Is it possible that Timescape updates of Twitter & Facebook are draining my monthly allowance? I would check emails on the phone too. Haven't been watching YouTube or anything like that.

after talking to orange on the phone for a long time, They were very help full, unlike Sony Ericsson, it turns out that while at home when my phone says its connected to WiFi, and is usually as I have tested by turning of data 3G and things on the hand set. It is still using 3G and streaming through the mobile internet.
Orange tell me its a problem with the handset and they have had a few people with the same problem. Orange kindly didn't charge me for my data use and told me to ring Sony who were very unhelpful and just claimed it isn't the hand set. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if any thing can be done. I now try to always have the 3G off but not sure if that is going to help.
Bought an Xpedia 1O (unlocked). Am in Belgium but my provider is Orange in Israel. I took the SIM out of my old non-smart phone and put it in my new phone. I can make phone calls, receive calls, ditto with texts messages. I have Data roaming on, Network Mode GSM/WCDMA preferred set, and have a connection to a local Belgian GSM provider.But anything to do with the internet does not work. Like set up connection to my email address, or create a Gmail account, or use my browser.So what's up? Do I just need buy something from my Israel Orange when I get back there? Or is there something obvious?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have put this on a few threads but it obviously only get read by a few people hopefully this will help backup your contacts in the phonebook, when in the phonebook press the menu key, then more you have the option to backup contacts select that and back them up to your SD Card, you can install them back from here after the update .SE Backup and Restore does seem to lose your contact list after update, it also appears to lose the apps.I found out after a previous update that backup and restore lost my contacts so this time I used the phonebook backup.It stores it as one VCF file, you just import it after update and it puts all contacts back as they were before.I only say it appears to lose the apps as I used it for this backup and there were no apps there but I had them on my SD Card anyway.Use the phonebook backup don't rely on Backup and Restore

If I am at home using wifi does that use 250mb which I am allowed each month? I use face book and the auto update time scape thing. How much MB will that use? Will I only be able to use time scape with 3g or can I use 2g to get updates aswell?
View 11 Replies View Relatedone of my other issues with my newly acquired X10 is its apparent heavy CPU usage. I would go so far as saying that the phone is close to unusable when it has just booted. So here goes my findings. I've installed a program called CPU Usage (quite logically) which monitors CPU usage for various tasks on the phone. Here is what I get when the phone has just been booted:
PID / Name / CPU Usage
954 / Sync Feeds/Checking Service/Setting Storage/Android System / 39-58% (No, I'm not kidding)
1054 / Download Manager/DRM /23-31% (still not kidding)
1171 / Face Recognition Service / 11-12% (not as bad, but still, why is it even there???)
The worst thing is that these services don't stop using the CPU - no, they keep on running and using CPU in the designated ranges, unless I kill them. So I go and kill them using another program I installed...................

Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.

I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.
