I don't know why, but after I updated my phone to 2.1 it gets hot when used for a period of time. I'm talking about whether I'm texting, talking or playing a game, after about 5mins or so it starts to get hot. Has this happened to anyone else?

I sound really dumb (lol) but anyways I'm trying to update my phone from 1.5 (i know, im late!!) to 2.1. I'm afraid I'm going to mess my phone up and not back up all of my data correctly. What would you recommend as advice to me before updating my phone?? once again.... i was already supposed to update to 2.1 lol but I thought Sprint would send updates out.

View 8 Replies View Relatedfor those of you running moxier mail on exchange with a polling mode, have you ever noticed it doesn't successfully always update? I am seeing that at times i will set it to a 1 hour polling mode for example but it won't bring down new emails. If i notice on the moxier settings page the last synch'd time is further back than the polling interval i'll hit 'synch now' and it ALWAYS brings down any new messages.
I contacted moxier and they seem to think its an issue with my server. I should also say my IT department doesn't support moxier/android explicitly but there is no reason it shouldn't work as designed they say. I have dug into the moxier logs and it seems that everytime i see a failure the following similar entries appear to be in the logs:.............
Had my galaxy S for just over a month and it's a great phone until last night and today when it has started to lock up on me. I have had to remove the battery to kill the phone and then restart it. When it has locked up it displays the following message. Activity Phone (in process com.Andriod.Phone) is not responding
Any one had this happen and what is the cause of this, what do I do to resolve it ? or is it a repair job. Any help would be great as I have had to restart it 6 times today.
My I7500 won't turn on after I updated my phone trough my pc studio.. When i turn on the phone it shows "samsung" on the screen, then it turns black.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is an android problem, or a samsung i9000 problem, but either way it's an annoying problem that I'd love to find a solution for ?_? I simply cant get the alarm to work for me (overnight. it's fine in the very short term). It appears to be because the clock stops moving/updating when the phone goes to sleep, because when I turn the screen back on I can see that the time is off by multiple hours, depending upon when it stopped updating, and stays that way for a couple of seconds before changing to the correct time.
Things to note here..
I do NOT use a task killer
The alarm volume is up
I have tried the alarm both with and without the Automatic, network provided time setting. The clock still stops moving. I've not updated anything from the standard (UK) firmware
1. Does the phone support Chinese input?
in other words, if the phone could send or receive Chinese messages?
2. If something wrong with the phone during updating, and can't start, is there any ways to recovery it?
So I just got the Samsung Fascinate last night and am having a problem setting up my email. I set up the gmail which they said I had to in order to access the marketplace - however when I go to the email app to set up my charter email account - I enter my email address and password - it says it's checking incoming network and then gives me an error saying it is unable to open connection to server. I've tried the automatic set up and manual - and I have no luck with either one. I have Verizon as my carrier - and looked on their site and Charter is a server that I should be able to set up email with on this phone.
Obviously I"m not that "saavy" with this stuff - and am not sure what to do to solve this problem. Wanted to check here first before calling them.
So I just really noticed that the moment's screen never goes black when you are on the phone using a bluetooth headset.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to put a spinner in a sub-tab in my android app. Touching the spinner causes a crash.
Searching seems to suggest that for some reason it is not possible to use spinners in sub-tabs, but this seems silly to me. I've also tried using activity groups as an alternative to sub-tabs, but I get the same crash.
Has anyone resolved this?
Phone is a box stock ALLY.
i have Duke Nukem 3D which hasn't had ANY problems. after I got the update yesterday to VB, the Duke icon disappears after i turn the phone off & on.
i have reinstalled Duke about 10 times, deleted its folder on the SD card, uninstalled Duke from the market & also using the droid uninstall.
nothing seems to keep the icon on the screen. when i turn the phone off & on, i don't have the Duke icon anymore, its a green droid square with a file name and when i press that to run Duke I get a "force close" message.
How do i install that htc keyboard? you guys know which one im talking about. I mean I have it installed but every time i try to use it I get an error message. or at least I did, ive installed the keyboard for now but I want to install it again and get it working. im not sure what im doing wrong but I just cant get it to work after installing it, im not sure if I just downloaded a faulty one or what but can anyone post a link to a download that they know works if that's allowed

So I go to download and I noticed that I have no 3G connection, not even 1x, So I try to download it and it tells me that there is Generic Network Failure. Now I can't make any calls or do anything. It was working fine until i got the MMS. I have tried changing the size to download and just about every setting. I can't figure it out. I love this phone, but now it is starting to make me mad!

No, not me. I still have my Hero. But a co-worker just got a Moment so I wanted to ask if there is anything needed to be done right out the box to fix any known issues. Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection.
