Whats the best way to view what I recorded on my pc and possibly post on youtube. I found something on line but it convert it again and changes the .mp4 to something else.

Family gathering yesterday. I took a 3 minute video on the full settings and tried to upload it to YouTube from the phone and every time I try and upload it, even after reboots, I get a message popping up telling me that the file must be under 1GB. It is only 130MB.
View 22 Replies View RelatedI can not figure out how to transfer my videos from my SF to my PC via USB. I successfully transferred one video via dropbox, but it seems to be having trouble with the current one I keep trying to move, maybe due to it's larger size, and it seems like it should be obvious to just plug in the USB and transfer it. The trouble I am having is that once my pc finds my SF and I "mount" it, and I have tried this via mass storage and via the media sync options, my pc will only let me view and transfer the files from the sd card, but apparently the videos I record with my phone are not stored on the sd card.
I need to know how to a) make the videos/pictures store on my sd card rather than the internal memory and b) transfer the videos/pics from my phone to my pc via USB. Usually I can figure this stuff out, but after searching all day, and reading tips, and going through the manual, and installing samsung's usb drivers, I have had it and need a nudge in the right direction.
For some reason You Tube has been freezing up a lot on my phone, just about every video I play? I had this problem with my EVO after I got the OTA for 2.2, but never had a problem while running with 2.1? Happens on both the official app, and the web site. Just started about a week ago, anyone else?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to get the input/opinions of some other people on this topic. I have a couple of big events coming up that I will be recording with my (soon to have) Evo. Now I know that Qik is gonna be huge when it comes to 2 way video calls, but my question/dilemma is to either use the native Camcorder/Video Camera app and upload them to Youtube, or to use the Qik app and have it stored on the Qik site. From what I've heard and seen, when a video is recorded/streamed to Qik, the quality that results on the Qik site is NOT nearly as good as what you're actually seeing and recording on your screen (compression, whatever, bla bla bla). However, I have seen videos on Youtube from people with EVO's where the quality is a ton better and it looks really good. So, why would anyone want to use the Qik app to take video recordings, when the end result on their website is of less quality as supposed to using the Camcorder/Video Camera app and posting it to Youtube? Is the only benefit for Qik is that people can watch your video being streamed pretty much right then and there (with only a little delay)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is a big disappointment for me. As reported in the "known issues" leaked document, you cannot view a PDF from the standard e-mail client. You have to save the attachment to SD then use a file explorer to find the file and view it. A huge pain!
I was sure hoping yesterday's update would fix this issue, but it did not.
If VZW and Sammy hope to make this phone a contender in the business market, this must be fixed. Email 101 guys.
I know I can use Touchdown, but don't like how it integrates with the rest of the phone.

I presently have a windows 6.0 phone, an older htc fuze on at&t. it's getting long in the tooth and a little quirky so I'm looking to upgrade.I saw the captivate appear a few days ago on at&t's website and did some research on it. Although it has a few potential problems, I don't think they outweigh the pluses.What I'm really concerned about is I have quite a few Excel spreadsheets and Word docs on the fuze storage card that I would like to be able to continue to use on the captivate.Is this possible?Keeping in mind that I do not have to upgrade now, does the forum think it would be better to wait until the at&t captivates ship with 2.2 or go ahead and get a 2.1 unit now and do the android upgrade later?Or is the 2.2 release date still to iffy to wait?

Basically, what I use it for is to download movie trailers off the iTunes store, and make them compatible to watch through my PS3 (or Xbox 360) on my 50" HDTV and my surround sound system. View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently took my Epic to a concert and recorded some videos. The picture quality of the videos was OK but the audio was amazingly distorted. There was a lot of bass at the concert which greatly I assume distorted the entire videos sound. I am greatly disappointed as I cannot listen to the songs cuz the sound so bad! Is that normal?

View 14 Replies View RelatedThis also happened on my Droid, so I'm not sure what the deal is. When I'm in a call sometimes my phone will black in and out, if I tilt the phone it will kick on for a half second and then kick off. The phone is still working and I'm still in the call, but I'm unable to do anything on the phone. Alternatively, if the phone does stay on and I try to touch a keypad the screen goes black again. Also, sometimes I won't be able to touch the number pad. The only way to get the keypad to work is if I drag the top down, click the little phone icon, and then the keypad again and it will work. It's driving me CRAZY.
Lastly, I have my phone with the pattern unlock because I like to know only I can open it. However, I don't want the timeout delay to long and drain my battery, but if I need to touch anything my phone needs to be unlocked during calls. Is there an app that keeps your phone on JUST during phone calls?
I noticed the youtube news yesterday about its new mobile site, but when i log onto the stock EVO internet browser and Dolphin HD, it looks nothing like the site in the video and still asks me if I want to use HTC Flash Player or Youtube app to play the video.Also it seems to only choose HTC Flash Player now, how do I reset the defaults for this?

Not the phone's youtube player, but the actual in-page youtube player. That is flash, right? My phone is still on 2.1, how can this be possible?

Today, I made a call and the party on the other end was not answering. So, I tapped the red "end call" and nothing happened. There was not feedback from the phone at all. Other end kept ringing. No response anywhere on the phone. Soft keys would not respond--Nothing. Had to press power key and power off, then reboot.

Yesterday my wife complained that after calling someone she wanted to hangup without leaving a VM and the phone was just frozen. This is not the black screen. This is she could see all the buttons etc and the hangup button was just not doing anything.She said she powered off and on to fix it.Well, this morning the same issue happened to my phone as well !! I wanted to hangup after a call and the phone was just frozen. I could not hangup. I kept hitting the red hangup button and nothing happened. Not to mention the other person got a long and blank VM.

I am sometimes able to complete another operation, but usually the phone goes back to the "alarm clock plus" page before I can complete it. Any ideas?
