Samsung Epic 4G :: Slide To Unlock Removal?
Sep 4, 2010Is there any way to get rid of / disable the darned slide to unlock screen / feature...I find it such a pain in the but to have to do that all of the time.

Samsung Captivate :: Slide To Unlock Times Out
Sep 8, 2010My wife now has a Captivate, but I'm noticing that she has a hard time with the timing of waking up the phone & the slide to unlock time out. Is their a setting to give the user more time to "unlock" the phone before it goes back to sleep?

Aug 18, 2010Does anyone know if it's possible to unlock the screen by simply sliding the keyboard open? My Moment does that and it's annoying as I end up pocket dialing people or opening up programs because the keyboard slide on it gets jarred and unlocks the screen.This will be a deal breaker for me between the Epic 4G and EVO.

I looked through all the settings and can't find an option anywhere to turn it back on. They really need to update this phone with one because i can't lock my phone. People could just read my stuff whenever they want to or if im away from it. Its mostly pictures. Oct 9, 2010Not crazy about the placement of the power button. Is there a way to remap the volume or camera buttons to wake the phone? And yes, I've seen the "No lock" thread, but I still want the phone to be somewhat difficult to accidentally unlock. What would be perfect would be a double click of one of the other buttons to waken and unlock the phone. Is this possible? Maybe it's a root thing?

Jul 3, 2010You know when you turn off the screen. The slide down to unlock feature, there's NO way to set a delay for this to come on? What I would like would be to remove that slide down to unlock feature and just have the pattern lock on (with a delay option). But i hate having the slide down to unlock, and then unlock again with a pattern. No way to 1) delay the slide to unlock feature or 2)remove the slide to unlock and only have the pattern lock working?(with a delay feature if possible,say only show up after 2hours has passed) My windows mobile phone had this simple option built in.
