I have been trying all morning to get onto the XDA site and keep getting this webpage cannot be displayed errors on my pc. Every other website is working. Anyone else having trouble? I can't get it on my phone via the XDA app either.

I'm try to display a map from a Google Maps Data API query (calling intent "geo:0,0?q=<my query url>") and I get this message : "This Community Map could not be displayed because it contains errors"
Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just mistyped the URL for Open Source Samsung Mobile, and just typed the one for Samsung Open Source Release Center.It seems to be a "new" site for every division of Samsung to publish the sources of software distributed under open software licenses starting at April 1st 2010.Right now it only lists some sources for a multifunction printer, but it seems to be a more serious effort than the previous site. You know... they even have included the release date information.

It becomes a pain in the butt when I have to use it for choosing options in a call menu.
I was finally able to try out a working Moment instead of a demo model last night. I went to http://androidforums.com/ and was dismayed that the webmaster has coded this site so that text does not adjust to the screen width. The only way to use the site is either zoom out so the text is unreadably small, or keep scrolling left and right. The view is better than on my Centro (which has an even smaller screen), but it's annoying that a forum for mobile devices is not usable on one!I found a setting on the Moment that tries to allow the page to adjust, but if the site is HTML table-based with hard-coded widths the Moment can do nothing.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs anyone using this program that can tell me how to avoid all the k9 errors? i am using it for all my emails and the yahoo mail fix from the questions sticky works with this program too. but gmail gets a k9 error everytime i try to do anything. its like it just wont communicate with gmail for some reason. even msn, which it says isnt supported, works fine. but not gmail. any help out there? i searched but nothing came up of usefullness for me.

This info was given to them by their Samsung rep so take it for what its worth. They didn't have an exact release date but said it should be just a few weeks if that after the X gets 2.2. I hope they are right.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I make a spelling error when typing a text but dont notice it until the text is finished it can be quite difficult to correct. Its a case of trying to insert the cursor by the error and then backspacing. This can be quite tricky. Or is there another way to do it? On my laptop there are directional arrows which allow me to take the cursor back through the text without deleting letters on the way. Is there an equivalent on the phone keypad?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have any idea as to whether Froyo will address the wifi issues on the SGS?My wife's phone will not connect to any wifi hotspot unless she is virtually sitting on the router.At home it is ok as the router is in the same room, but she has tried to connect to many wifi hotspots in public places and she can never connect as the signal is so weak.Other people with iPhones, HTC etc connect with no problem, but hers will not do anything.Is this something that Froyo will address, or is it more a hardware issue with the SGS?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the same issue with 2 separate Vibrants, actually 3 Vibrants counting the one I took back.I have problems connecting to either the market or internet across multiple browsers while WiFi is on.With both phones, it seems this problem is intermittent and across different brands of routers at different locations.
An example is when I try to enter the market.I sometimes will get to the market home page but when I try to pull up my downloads it comes back with an error message saying connection failed.Once I turn off WiFi it works perfect in 3G, or if I leave WiFi on, go back to the home page and then try just a minute later it connects without a problem.To make matters even worse, the problem persists while using apps that connect to the internet such as The Weather Channel.The problem is very intermittent.Sometimes I have no problems connecting, while other times it won't connect at all until I turn WiFi off or even reboot the phone.Both phones behave the same way.I've gotten to the point now where I just leave WiFi turned off because it's so unreliable.I know it's not the WiFi signal strength either as it is just as likely to happen with the phone a few feet away from the router's antenna as it is when it's 50 feet away.

Now there's not a single site on the internet selling these doors, and I'm desperate. I was using simple free phone earlier which doesn't require data plan but after two weeks I bought samsung captivate, AT&T added $25 data plan. I got my phone from AT&T store where my friend works so he took my data plan out of the plan for now but he said they will find out and add into your plan again. Also, He said that they recognize by your IMEI number. My question is: Is there anyway I can change my IMEI number? I was thinking to use my simple free Nokia phone's IMEI number and use it for Samsung Captivate so AT&T thinks that I am using Nokia phone.

It happens at the top of the screen just to the right below the battery. It's a quick yellow glow then it disappears until my phone is locked then unlocked again. One of the updates had to do with my weather widget [Weather & toggle]. Anyone seen or heard of this?

Now I have an AT&T captivate and wonder whether GPS or other apps will work. Does GPS require a data plan to work? If so I'll have to figure out whetted I can add this to my T-D1 plan. This will also answer my question about whether using the Captivate for navigation in the US needs a data plan to work.

However neither Super Manager or ASTRO will allow me to uninstall the crap ware on my phone. Is there something I'm missing? I followed all the steps at XDA. So far I've tried to remove YPMobile, ATT Navigator, and ATT Maps. Any suggestions? I tried searching this on google and this forum but didn't come up with anything.
