The screen is great and it is the fastest android phone i have used to date. I was a bit worried about the Samsung ui but it is integrated very nicely. I cannot find the menu area to see what the actual processor is.

I have installed several apps that us gps, fandango and weather bug elite to name a few but when it tries to us teh gps to find where i am and set my location it can never find me any ideas why that is?

2. holding down the menu button still doesnt do anything
3. when you're charging your phone it doesnt show the percentage
4. cant uninstall where's waldo and midnight bowling.
5. sometimes you have to push the actual unlock button for the screen to turn on instead of any of the buttons (i do this to check the time)
never had the SD card or vibrating problems so i dunno if they got completely fixed.
1) If your phone is waking up repeatedly upon pressing lock, and you don't want to restart: HOLD LOCK & PRESS THE ROUND MIDDLE BUTTON!
2) Home++ Menu Restarting on each press, MANAGE APPLICATIONS+FORCEKILL. If you are feeling lazy and don't want to go into the Manage Apps Menu, simply bring up and 'return button' the menu 5 times, it'll lock up, and kill it from there.
Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.

I hate posting a query about something so seemingly simple. I googled around and can't find a duplication of the icon in the notification area of my new (since January) Eris running 1.5 stock.
I'll describe it: it in most ways resembles a little musical note, perhaps an eighth-note, but with a diagonal slash through it (not in a circle as the "no" sign).
Nothing running in the background, music-wise. On page 47 of the user guide/manual is a list of all stock icons; it is not there. No new apps have been installed for weeks.Any ideas as to what it could be?
Go to the market and download Panda Home, this will give you a nice stock android feel, and it makes the settings menu return to stock form Part of touchWiz is gone, looks like its not as tightly integrated as I thought
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe display area of my SGS has been reduced there is now a black line (approximatively 1 millimeter thick) around the display now anything that should be displayed has been centered (a kind of)i have noticed that after press-holding the HOME BUTTON (to get to the task manager).even when the phone that black border is still there and it look like the screen has been pushed down the display is not now at the same level as the top-cover (or screen cover).I have used the factory reset but nothing has changed.My phone look horrible now.

View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
After many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

So i would like to root it and run a factory1.6 no twiz rom on it, but I'm having issues while doing it!....
I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
1st off, I am brand new to Android, have had this phone for 1 day.
All instructions I find say 1 of 2 things, either tap and hold the home screen until I see a "+add widgets", or swipe left to right until I see the menu button. I also read that the menu button should look like 3 vertical bars.
Tapping and holding the home screen only gives me options to add wallpapers, nothing else. I cannot find anything like a menu button. When I go into settings I can find nothing that has to do with adding widgets.
How to find this menu button, what the icon for menu will look like?

1) I'm looking for a ROM for my tablet PIPO S1s and I can't find.
2) I've seen how many people go to fastboot mode using volume + or - and the power, but I can't do that on PIPO S1s. Of course there are programs for windows that you can do upgrade or everything else, but I want to see the recovery e.g ClockworkMod and do the upgrade or changing of ROM from that. Is it possible or the only way you can do that is via windows

I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Android 1.6 and higher, this menu XML inflates and runs fine. But when run in 1.5 I get an error about a resource not found. I find that when I remove the @drawable/menu_preferences from the XML in 1.5 it works fine. Is there a 1.5 work around I can do to get the image to work? EDIT: The image is in the drawable-mdpi folder........

Sprint release the 2.1 update for the Samsung Moment today. Here is the link to the update on Sprint's website. Will this update work for our Behold II? I'm willing to try to install it on mine (I'm currently running 1.6 no twiz). What do you think guys?

View 9 Replies View RelatedG1 and my Behold 2 her phone had good reception and the behold had nearly none. Half the time I don't get phone calls. They go straight to VM. My roommate's BB pearl gets double the reception mine does. My other roommate's Nokia gets even better reception. All on the T-mo network. Another friend who has a G1 same thing, he has reception I don't. Not to mention the other problems I have had. This is my 3rd Behold II by the way. Been replaced twice and back to Samsung for 3 weeks once.
