I bought a milestone 3 weeks ago, since i bought it, it has this squeak sound when the screen locks, every time the screen locks automatic or when i press the lock button above it creates a sound, but yesterday after i used task manager cleaner i kill all the running apps because its a bit laggy, then the squeak sound is gone? i dont know how to enable it.

My application shows led notification for some events, but it isn't working in the Motorola Milestone (i'm not sure if it doesn't work in the Motorola DROID also). View 5 Replies View Relatedis it possible to manually rotate the screen or fix the current screen orientation (with a key/button)? because it really annoys me having taken portrait pictures that cannot be viewed (with the media gallery application) in a portrait fashion on the milestone. this is because it always rotates the portrait picture back to landscape when rotating the milestone from landscape to portrait. right now there is no way of properly viewing portrait pictures on the milestone other than tilting your head (holding the milestone landscape and tilting your head along).this cannot be the way it was intended to be, right? or do I have to get a different viewing software which allows you to choose screen orientation? is there such an app?

Is there a way to set it up on the DX so that if i don't read a new text after the initial ring, it will beep or play the rington like every minute. this is the only feature i miss, bc sumtimes i walk away from my phone and miss the text coming in and i wont know its there unless i check my phone. I would like to have it beep or something every minute as a reminder that you have a text waiting.

If the screen is off like when I am playing music, then pushing the power button will start the sound again when the screen comes on.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using Motorola Milestone UK version with AT & T. G Mail and Yahoo etc work fine. Data plan also work perfect wih At&T 2G. AT&T 3 G can not use with Milestone because 3 G band of AT & T is not supoerted by Milestone.
However, real problem is that when I call anybody, he always finds my voice breaks on Milestone. When I switch to speaker they find my voice perfect. I can hear their voice clearly. Any body has same problem.
Secondly, I would like to dowload "Car Home" app which is available with Droid. It is not available in Market place. When I try to see how it is intsalled in my friend's droid, it shows 0 KB. Does this app is part of Android for Verizon. When I dock the phone in Car dock, as I dont have Car home app so phone does not pop up Navigation window which is part of Car Home. I can use Google Map manually. This is not big problem.
I like the pattern screen lock and see no need to have the sliding screen lock. Does anyone know how to get rid of the sliding lock?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got my Milestone from Telus here in Canada. When the phone powers up, two 'sliding' buttons appear. A green one on the left to unlock the phone, and another one on the right to silence it.
When holding the phone in one hand, the green unlock button is too low on the screen for a comfortable flick with the thumb. If it were on the upper third of the screen instead of the lower third, this would be much easier.
Any way to move it higher on the screen?
