I've never been interested in verizon in the past, but I must have a droid now.I noticed that the droid is $119.99 on TigerDirect.com (w/ 2 yr contract) and the activation fee is waved, and I'm wondering if Verizon stores will match the price? Verizon is currently charging $199.99 and a $35 activation fee.I will be going in to the Verizon store after work to try to get them to match the price and looking for some advice in the meantime. Has anyone had any luck getting them to match the price? Or, should I just order from tiger direct?

Possibly from eBay or somewhere similar. Most times it's about 250 or so, but what is the cheapest price do you guys suppose you could get one for?
View 7 Replies View RelatediIm looking for an app that i can scan a barcode and associate prices to it from local stores. i know of compare everywhere, shop savvy, and others but these apps don't know the prices at the local acme or giant eagle. if i could scan a barcode and then assign a price to it from a few local stores including target or walmart that would be great. I've found an iphone app but there's no such version for android (that i've found) called wychlist.

But apps like Yelp can find the GPS location on droid. Is there a workaround to find the user location on a device? Here's the code I am using code....

I have read all over the place that there are themes available for different ROMs. However, I am having a very difficult time finding them. I am currently running BB 0.4 and wish to install a theme. I have read that smoked glass is a very cool theme.
Can anyone please help me find themes for BB 0.4. Also, if anyone is willing to throw together a post with links to themes for different ROMs, I will be willing to put your thread in the sticky at the top of this forum. I think it would be a good idea for us "noobs" and veterans to be able to easily find a comprehensive list of themes available for the different ROMs floating around.

I charged the phone last night while on, unplugged this morning and according to Spare Parts, my phone has been running 100%. I've also got System Panel Lite and Battery Left, but I'll be damned if I can't tell what the offending app is. Battery is on Smart Mode, Time Outs are set to 15 min for both Off Peak and Peak.
Good news is 9 hours 36 minutes and I'm still at 50% with an extended Battery and I've done quite a bit of Market searching and downloading, had a few phone calls, sent a few texts, checked the news widget, checked emails, and checked the old facepage a dozen times. (slow day at work)
Anyway, anyone have a good way to check for offending applications?
I was trying to find a video on YouTube on my Droid that I could easily find on my computer, but I could not get the video to come up in the YouTube search using my Droid. I tried this in the YouTube app and the browser, but I got the same results. For this particular search, my Droid came up with 4 results, and my computer 20 results. I've also done google searches for particular videos, only to get a "video not compatible with YouTube mobile" (or something like that). Are these 2 issues related? Is my search on my Droid only finding mobile-compatible videos?
