General :: Droid Razor HD - Setting Up Text Messaging
Nov 17, 2012I just got a new Droid Razor HD and am having trouble setting up my text messaging in that when I receive a text, only the phone number shows and not the name of the person the text is coming from. Since I do not memorize my contacts phone numbers, it is difficult to tell who I am getting that text from.

I bought easy root to root my Droid, which I love, and then downloaded set cpu and every time I install set cpu, I keep getting the reading "read only, cant detect root" I';ve tried installing and uninstalling, but cant seem to get past this stage. Sep 16, 2010I took the plung today and finally rooted! I'm am so happy right now. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. But anyways, enough with my bragging.
I have read all over the place that there are themes available for different ROMs. However, I am having a very difficult time finding them. I am currently running BB 0.4 and wish to install a theme. I have read that smoked glass is a very cool theme.
Can anyone please help me find themes for BB 0.4. Also, if anyone is willing to throw together a post with links to themes for different ROMs, I will be willing to put your thread in the sticky at the top of this forum. I think it would be a good idea for us "noobs" and veterans to be able to easily find a comprehensive list of themes available for the different ROMs floating around.

Sep 13, 2010What is a good way to find what app is causing the phone not to sleep. I charged the phone last night while on, unplugged this morning and according to Spare Parts, my phone has been running 100%. I've also got System Panel Lite and Battery Left, but I'll be damned if I can't tell what the offending app is. Battery is on Smart Mode, Time Outs are set to 15 min for both Off Peak and Peak.
Good news is 9 hours 36 minutes and I'm still at 50% with an extended Battery and I've done quite a bit of Market searching and downloading, had a few phone calls, sent a few texts, checked the news widget, checked emails, and checked the old facepage a dozen times. (slow day at work)
Anyway, anyone have a good way to check for offending applications?

Dec 27, 2009I was trying to find a video on YouTube on my Droid that I could easily find on my computer, but I could not get the video to come up in the YouTube search using my Droid. I tried this in the YouTube app and the browser, but I got the same results. For this particular search, my Droid came up with 4 results, and my computer 20 results. I've also done google searches for particular videos, only to get a "video not compatible with YouTube mobile" (or something like that). Are these 2 issues related? Is my search on my Droid only finding mobile-compatible videos?

Aug 26, 2010Does anybody have a link to get an older version of Dialer One? Is there a way that I can revert back to my previous version? I updated it to Version 1.2.6, and I must say the new changes are terrible. Facebook pictures no longer sync. 2.) Calling a number after dialing is more difficult as instead of having a fairly large area to click to call, you have to exactly touch the tiny phone logo, 3.) Before I could click the bar to change from contacts, recent calls, and favorites. Now I have to swipe to go between the three. The one positive with the new upgrade is the developer fixed a bug where the dialer would always crash if you attempted to add a missed call number to your contacts. Not that works fine. But losing the other three things are enough for me to want to go back.
