I messed up pretty big this time. I was trying to flash Bugless Beast and did a factory reset wanting to everything. Now it is stuck in a loop. All I see now is a looping droid logo.

Just ran reset on my phone twice...it rebooted and nothing was removed! Never seen this before anyone have any thoughts? I'm on CM 5.0.7.1, and haven't seen this behavior before on that or any other ROM. Gonna boot into recovery and do it manually.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi think i deleted the wrong files and now my phone won't go back the "HTC ONE" screen. I've done the process of a recovery and then allow the red triangle to come up, from there i know i should hold power + Up, and that should take me to a black screen with blue letters, and i should select something about "partition" but this black and blue screen, i remember seeing it as a thumbnail in a folder i deleted. I thought it was an ad photo saved onto my phone as spam (as the folder was named adSOMETHING) and so i deleted it and now, i feel i have have screwed myself over. I have no way of getting another phone right now. How can i get my laptop to read my phones connection and allow me to copy and paste the files needed to get it running again?

Not exactly an old pro, but I know my way around at this point.At any rate, I decided to give the BatteryLeft widget a try today since I went to Fab's xTheme and it didn't have a battery percentage in the notification bar. The dev recommends that you let your phone completely discharge a few times so that it can accurately predict the remaining percentage and the time until the battery dies.So I let the battery completely discharge and I connected it to my home wall charger to begin recharging. The problem I have been having is that my phone will not stay powered off and continually tries to boot up. I tried charging via car charger, USB and in the media dock and I had the same result.
The problem is that the phone won't charge long enough to stay powered on and continue to charge. The process of rebooting seems to prevent the phone from charging appropriately and uses up the small bit of the charge the battery gets for the 2-3 seconds before rebooting.I tried rebooting into CWR and letting it sit to gather enough charge to stay up, but that doesn't seem to have worked either.I'm at a loss for what to do. I can't get the phone to stay on to do anything, I can't get it to stay off to charge.
I'm kind of new to Rooting and Roms but I keep getting the same problem while installing Roms using Rom Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was on 2.2 rooted on my droid x. Attempted to install a replacement for the taskbar. The phone is stuck in a boot loop now. I've read about 5,000 different pages saying just use RSD. It all starts by saying; plug the phone in, let the computer detect it, install the drivers.. This is where I'm stuck. The only thing I have access to is the recovery console and the big endless loop. So at no point the phone turns on to the point where the PC will detect it as a device.

My pic sending capabilities have stopped before when I got the froyo update and the only thing that fixed it was a factory reset. This is my first theme and I followed directions and put Koush's Bootstrap did a nano backup and then installed the update.zip theme So what should be my steps for a factory reset now?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to install a new firmware for my Lenovo A830, and I did a factory reset. However, it caused my device to reboot all the time - I can't even access the recovery mode. Here's the boot logo of the recovery after which the phone reboots. Here's the image: [URL] .......
It appears for 2-3 seconds, and the device reboots again. Also, it doesn't matter whether I press the combination of keys for the recovery mode or pressing the power button - I always get this boot logo.The only way to shutdown the phone is to remove the battery.
Maybe to reinstall the recovery mode somehow? Or to clean up the whole internal memory from PC? The only thing is that because of the constant reboots I can't access USB (just for the 2-3 seconds until the next reboot).
so i had been having problems with the whole random rebooting issue that some people on the droid x have been having, so i called tech support and i had tried everything that they had suggested except the factory data reset. i was hesitant to do that because it just seems like doing something like that would never let me get my phone to working the way that it used to work. you know the way i had everything set up. well after the phone kept rebooting on its own i decided i would give it a shot. sure enough the phone just doesnt seem to be running the same as it did before. the phone seems to lag more, i am having to touch icons several times at times to make them work. task killer isnt running the way that it should. it just seems like the factory data reset made everything on the phone work just a little bit worse. has anyone else had this experience?

So we've had the Droid since November, I used it, no problems, then it got passed down to my technologically challenged husband after he "accidentally" broke his flip phone in half.
He put some apps on it, and now it's constantly making sounds confirming every action, despite making sure that was unchecked in settings. (It's quiet when he has media volume turned off, but then he has to manually turn it back on every time he wants to play a game or watch a video.)
I factory reset once, and it was fine, then he put all the same apps back on it, and it started up again. I have now done three more resets, and not only is it not going away, but his same wallpaper keeps coming back, despite it not showing anywhere in the phone's internal memory through Astro, and making sure I had the memory card taken out while resetting. Not only that, but when I attempt to mount the phone to the computer, the memory card shows up, but not the internal memory.
Did he get a virus? Does anyone have any other ideas of how to resolve this?
I have this NYX tablet WIMO 4.0. Its need a factory reset, the problem, is that I get in recovery, but, only get the android with red exclamation, I try a lot of combination with buttons but cant get the menu, Try a wipe with adb but cant enter adb shell, its say - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -

I am using HTC Explorer A310e. I rooted my cellphone yesterday. After rooting my cellphone, I had WhatsApp install and uninstalled couple of times, which led to some corruption as well. Thought of clearing the space by "Factory Reset" option with an intention of retrieving the built in apps.But after I did this, runs a process of resetting and when it restart it stuck at the main screen where HTC comes out on the display. My cell phone is not running beyond this screen. Cellphone screen is still on and displaying the "htc" only.

Upon hearing of the release of the official version, she decided to prep her phone by doing a factory reset as the phone needs to be reverted to 1.5 . View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Droid keeps rebooting on it's own. It stuck in a boot loop. I have tried to do a wipe and restore a android backup that I made last week but it is still rebooting. As soon as the phone tries to mount the SD card reboots. I have also tried to restore it to a plain vanilla backup that I made right after I rooted my phone.
Clockwork see the SD card with no problems and can read and write to it. Also Win 7 can see the card when I put it in my laptop. This seems to have started after I used MotoTorch Flashlight and had to do a battery pull on it because the phone locked up.
I updated to BB 0.4 from a previous old 2.2 installation. Now I'm stuck in an endless reboot loop! It alternates between Droid and the red Droid eye!
1) I copied update.zip to the root of the drive.
2) I installed update.zip
3) Install was successful
4) Rebooted
Just like I did to root, I followed this forum and DroidReview YouTube videos to install ROMs. I installed ROM Manager and downloaded a few (free) ROMs. I made a back up of the stock ROM or whatever you want to call it. For both ROMs, after it downloads, installs, and boots, it gets stuck at the Droid and Droid Eye phases. It goes from saying 'Droid', to the eye, to a black screen, and then starts it over and over again.
Thankfully, I was able to figure out how to restore the previous backup I made using the recovery/nandroid menus. what's going on with my Droid (or me)? After two tries, I'm guessing it's not the specific ROMs and something else is going on. All help is appreciated! I really want to get this sorted out! Thank you!!!!!
I've been running Kangerade since shortly after it came out... And loving it.. Yet today I saw my phone was rebooting - and waited (figured it over heated or some such..) and waited... And waited... That android boot image does stop being cute after a while... Crap.. Just cycling... Go into recovery... Umm.. No seriously.. Go into recovery.... Go on.... Nope. (apparently latest ROM MAnager screwed up CWmod..) So... Can't load my phone... Can't restore backup..

The firmware updated fine and didn't indicate a failure, after i updated i did the reboot from the menu. I've reflashed 2-3 times now and it does not come back, and i've pulled the battery more than a few times.

I had switched ROMs, between about three of them the past week, and didn't do a full wipe, just to be safe. But the phone was starting to get real slow, regardless of the ROM, so I just did a factory reset using Clockwork Recovery and now I don't seem to be getting 3G anymore. I can still get data, just at 1X. It'll say "3G" when idle, but once I'm browsing, it bumps down to 1X again. This couldn't possibly be what was suggested not to do for 2.1 owners, was it? Despite being on 2.2?

View -1 Replies View RelatedSo I installed PandaBeta for the Droid, and although it was cool, I uninstalled it because it was lacking the features I really wanted (it is in beta after all). After I uninstalled it, my phone has been acting semi goofy, and I noticed there are some new things that show up in Taskiller that weren't there before:
1.) Google Partner Setup (I don't even know what this is)
2.) com.google.android.apps.maps:FriendService
3.) Bluetooth Share (I never use bluetooth)
4.) com.weather.Weather:gadgetPrivateProcess
5.) Voice Dialer
6.) com.Twidroid:remote
Now I don't know if those are supposed to be there, but if they are supposed to be there, they were never there UNTIL I installed PandaBeta. My big issue though is I have noticed my phone acting semi weird (could have just been a fluke). I just made a 1 hour phone call and when I went to hangup, the screen never woke up. So I hit the unlock button, nothing happened. I open the keyboard, nothing happened. The phone was on because when I opened the keyboard, the keyboard was backlit. This never happened before the uninstall. Anyway, is there anyway to restore the Droid to the initial state? In other words a factory reset of the OS? I don't care if I loose all data, since everything I have is on the Google Cloud anyway.
