I was using my phone this morning and when I tried returning to my homescreen I had a box pop up that had two options, 1 with LP and the other that said Home. I just hit the Home and when it went to the home screen everything had reverted back to the original blur. My question is how do I get LP back?

So i really like a lot of the new "blurless" roms, however i really miss the corporate email aspect of blur. IMHO the blur email app is significantly better than the AOSP. Does anyone know how i could be able to add this back to the "blurless" roms. I have the deodexed apk archive that i got from somehwere, i've tried just installing the apk's that i feel would be required, i.e. blurservices, bluremail,etc. but i always get an "application not installed" error. i've even placed them in the /system/app folder and corrected the permissions with no success. Does anyone have any experience in adding blur back to your phone that might be able to help me out?

Is there any way to get back the blur email on fission? or can someone help me set up my email acct another way. It is through outlook.

i just noticed this with my camera a few days ago. I like to use my Eris's camera a LOT (its a decent camera!) but am now disappointed that there is a reddish blur in the center of all photos. It is very noticeable on white backgrounds in medium to low light conditions. does anyone have any info? i rooted my phone and am still in the 30 day period, i have insurance too.

Without being able to load a custom rom, being able to run stock android is pretty much a deal breaker for me.

My problem is that I like having FB populate my contacts and being able to see statuses when people call me. Is there a way to get those two features and not duplicate efforts on the X? I don't want to add too many more things to sync for the sake of battery. If not do you guys just have the X sync with FB and also have the app for when you want to delve further into it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the updated GalaX theme and it brought in a new messaging app that is similar to the cyanogen sms app. However it corrects the time stamp but I get 2 messages for every received sms one at the correct time and one and the 4 or 5 hour off time. Can I remove the motorola sms application or rename it? Anyone know what that is?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just received a new Droid X yesterday from VZW and immediately upgraded it to official 2.2. The thing seems slower and more jerky than my stock incredible which is pretty damn smooth. If I scroll through the homescreens with a static (non live) wallpaper, it's almost like the walpaper stutters and jumps forward and back a fraction of an inch as it moves across the screen. Haven't really noticed it when using a live wallpaper. Anyone else see this? Really frustrating. Dissapointingly I might have to go back to the DINC if this continues. I don't notice this at all when using Launcher Pro.

I just upgraded to the DX and that is one issue I'm not too found of. Does anyone have any ideas how or what app could install for searching all your contacts like the DInc does? You just type (on the dialer) the persons name or number and it comes up with the names in a list

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of the sudden my Incredible has dropped it's 3G signal and reverted to 1X. I have no clue what's going on. Every now and then 3G will try and pop back on but then the cell signal drops to 0 or 1 bar and then everyone who calls me gets my voice mail instead of my phone ringing. I've updated my PRL to the newest one and I've tried Hybrid PRL's too and nothing is helping. Everything was fine just yesterday, this just started today. My 2250mah battery is almost dead due to lack of signal all day. Any ideas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
This might be a stupid question, but im new to smartphones and android. Where do you find launcherpro plus. I see launcherpro on appbrain but thats it.

I figured it was because I was running LP at that time, so I switched to another launcher and then tried to uninstall LP, but could not find it.So I have LP, I just can't install it. LauncherPro 0.8 doesn't install correctly i take it.So i cannot access the homescreen settings to uninstall 0.7 because of the silly update message.Any ideas?
Today I rebooted my phone and LauncherPro got stuck starting, only displaying a window in the top left corner, like it couldn't finish rendering the preview screen, and it never starts on that anyway. I was totally stuck without access to the menu buttons but still had the notification for WidgetLocker, so I was able to get to that, unlock it, restart the Moto launcher, and disable WidgetLocker. Now that it's disabled, I seem to be able to make LauncherPro my home again, but it looks like I'll have to disable WidgetLocker, which I really liked.Not sure what else could be causing the problem - probably something to do with WidgetLocker's home launcher sub-app.
