I just noticed the QuickOffice app link is not in the App Drawer anymore. The app is still on the phone cause if I open a xls file within file manager, it opens under QuickOffice. Anyone else app link missing, or is it just me?

Has an else had issues with the Sync of Facebook contacts since update 2.0.1?
All of my merged accounts profiles are all missing. Then when I try and re-edit the contact it says I am unable to edit Facebook contacts on this Device. What happened here? Anyone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedIn Settings > About Phone > System Updates, it says "Android Update 1.5" at the top, and when I click download everything seems to go smooth, and it says "Requires a restart". So I power my phone down, power it back up, and go to System Updates, and it still says I need "Android Update 1.5". Is there a way to check if the update actually happened, or what should I do?

One problem I've run into is that Quick Office will not open an Excel spreadsheet. I originally had it saved as an xlsx file with a password and I got an error msg when trying to view it with Quick Office.
So, I removed the password, tried it again - still no luck. Tried back saving it to an xls file...it tries to open, but all I get is a dark screen (w/out any error msgs)....
I bought a Nexus One rooted, I tried to open a PDF attachment in the email app and although I have adobe reader installed quickoffice took over, I tried to uninstall quickoffice, but the button is gray faded, so are all the other buttons in the application management for quickoffice.I won't ever use the app I just want it removed or thrown so far in the background that it never interferes with anything again, since the app doesn't work at all.I was reading through other forums and couldn't find any solutions,only problems about this. Does anyone here have the same issue? Could it be solved?

It seems to be missing from xtrROM3.03.
I need it back, but don't want to leave this excellent ROM.
Titanium backup seems to have backup the settings of Quickoffice, but not the app itself.
Any way for me to get that app back?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just bought Documents to Go, and so far love the actual program. One issue though, which I think may have more to do with the Android OS, is setting Documents to Go as the default fro opening Word/Excel/PDF/PPT files. When I try to open a Word Document (using ASTRO, DroidBox, or anything else) it asks me what app to use. The list has "Documents to Go" and "QuickOffice". If I pick "Word to Go", and tell it to use that as the default, it works. However if I then try to open a different file type (say an Excel file) it attempts to open it with Word to Go and obviously gives an error about it being the wrong/unsupported file. If I remove Word to Go as the default handler, I can then go back to the Excel file, attempt to open it, and select Sheets to Go, it works. So, first, how do I remove QuickOffice as an option (it shows up under Manage Apps, but there is no option to remove it)? Second, how do I set Word to Go as the default for .doc/.docx file types, Sheets to Go the default for .xls/.xlsx?

(among many other things) well i got the 2.1 update today and have to be honest was not super impressed, although i will say my web browsing experience has improved and the phone seems to be overall faster would still love to have adobe flash i guess thats the "golden question" does anyone know if my droid will ever get it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHey guys, something is going on with my keyboard. I'm currently using the stock keyboard. You know when you put your finger on a letter and you get the box hovering over telling what letter you are pressing? For some reason mines not showing up when I use the keyboard in portrait mode. But when I go to the number pad or w/e they show up again. When the keyboard is in landscape mode, it doesn't suffer from any of these problems. The only thing I did with the keyboard was install the thick fingers keyboard to test it out and then I installed it. Can you guys help me out?

Has the ADT repository been deleted or moved? I've tried entering the URL in Eclipse and it can't find it, and I tried just browsing to the page, and I get a 404 from google. I've tried both https and http with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated! What should have been a 1 hour (max) activity (setting up Eclipse and the Android SDK on a new machine) is now dominating my day.
I also subscribe to the Android Discuss group. I clicked on a post in today's email update and got a message saying "Cannot find android- discuss ... There is no group named android-discuss". There were a couple of threads I was watching.

What's the reason behind it? Also, long-press on the HOME button doesn't bring up the task manager anymore. So, if I am in the browser, I have to all the way close all the pages before I can go back to home screen?

(e.g. the "A" four thousand and fifty five, rather than the "A" four O five five), I know it used to do this when the app came out, but I thought they had fixed it.
