Motorola Droid X :: Video Recorder Undocumented Upgrade
Sep 23, 2010Now records at 30Fps with stereo sound. Phone arena is saying this was an undocumented upgrade. Sorry if this was posted already, but I didn't see it anywhere.

Dec 4, 2009i don't record video very often, so i just noticed this problem after having my droid for almost a month. does anyone else experience this? it's a little difficult to explain, but it seems like the automatic brightness of the video recorder is not working correctly. in low light scenarios, instead of the video getting brighter so you can see more, it actually gets DIMMER. i can tell this because i set up a scenario where half the room is regular light and half is low light.
things look fine in the regular light. additionally, things look fine when i have both sides of the room in the picture, and i can tell the droid adjusts a little because the the picture will get brighter, causing the regular light side to be very bright but the low light side to be visible (that's the expected behavior). then, when i pan to the low light side, i see the camera make a brightness adjustment again, but it gets dimmer rather than brighter, making it almost impossible to see anything. the screen basically turns black. i'm sure this is not how it's supposed to work, but what i'm wondering is whether i have a faulty unit and should exchange or whether everyone has this issue. did anyone understand this post?

I was able to find the voice client (sound for the video) but not the actual video recorder. May 26, 2009I've been trying to develop an application for the android 1.5 sdk version that allows the user to simply recorder a video but it has been a long road. I can record audio with the simple example on the android developers website but when I put the VideoSource and the VideoEncoder lines it gives a 100 error that means that the Camera server died. Here is an example of the code.

I love the solid build and the ability to customize the phone.
I love the physical keyboard but also having the option of a virtual keyboard.
I love the thousands of available apps.
I love having a video recorder and camera in one.
I love the AMOLED screen.

Nov 11, 2009HTC had a nice voice recording app on the Sprint Hero. It recorded to mp3. The only 2 half decent apps I have found in the market only record to amr. Anyone know of a recorder that records to mp3?

It's E Business Group (602) and the are calling for Anthony which is the wrong number, but as soon as I even start to ask to be taken off their list they say "Sorry for bothering you" and hang up so quick I can't even get the words out.

what other interesting styles does exist. The eclipse layout xml editor knows about some of the @android:style/'s but not this one. Where is all this documented?
Android :: Fusion Recorder - Audio Recorder
Nov 6, 2010We are a new company that is focused on Android development. We have completed and uploaded our Fusion Recorder application into the Android Market. We've worked hard to make sure that it is a reliable product and that it contains a solid set of features for version one (v.1). We are currently working on the designs for our our Website, facebook, and Twitter pages since posting our application. We look forward to adding features as we move forward.
We are interested in feedback from users and want to make sure our product(s) are as defect free as possible. So, if you do run into an issue, big or small, please shoot us an email at our support email.

Also, if you don't see a feature you like please email that to us so we can add it to our Feature Request database. It may not be the next week we add it (we take testing seriously, which takes time). But we definitely will review such requests, which we understand are valuable.
Also, we were able to test this on a few Android Smartphones, but we are looking forward to seeing if there are any issues on phones we have not tested on. So, if you run into an issue please include, at the least, the Android Smartphone manufacturer, product name, Android OS version number (e.g. Android 2.2).
Motorola Droid :: Best Voice Recorder App For Droid?
Nov 18, 2009I have a meeting coming up at work next week that I think is in my best interests to record. Going through the Market I saw that some of the audio recorders are buggy, especially with the Droid. Can anyone recommend a stable, decent audio recorder that I can use? Also, before anyone asks, I am from a state where only one party needs to consent to recording, so there are no legal issues here. To be honest, I plan on asking everyone there if they mind if I record it anyway. Should any of them say no, I still won't have any problems recording it.

Aug 4, 2010I'm getting "video cannot be played" on every video I try to play now...did not do this before upgrade. I am angry because this is a feature I use ALL the time.
Also, EVERY 720p video I shoot has choppy playback when played back on the EVO. I have to use the back button and restart it for it to be okay, which you shouldn't have to do. Any suggestions?

Apr 8, 2013I current have the latest YouTube app on my tablet and phone (Nexus 10 and 4) and for some strange reason, after the recent upgrade to 4.4.11 of the app, YouTube would crash everytime I try to watch any video. Attempts to clean cache/data and revert to older version of the app were unsuccessful too although it would not crash.
I must also mention that my YouTube account was banned some time ago due to some lame reason with a few foreign variety show video clips I posted being reported. Long story short, I was able to still watch YouTube clips previously with the app, without being successfully signed in. Both of my devices are on stock 4.2.2 with custom kernel and rooted of course.

Aug 23, 2010I bought Milestone about 4 month ago. I am looking for a call record application for both incoming and outgoing calls bus so far I haven't found a working one. I tried total recall and phone recorder - didn't work. I know google voice have option to record incoming but not outgoing calls. I heard somewhere that Milestone have this option disabled by hardware anyone knows if this is true? Anyway if anyone can recommended a tested working record app (pay or free I dont care at this point).

- Used UniversalRoot to gain root access
- Installed and ran Titanium Backup, backup saved to SDcard
- Reran UniversalRoot and unrooted
- Flashed with SBF, seemed successful but my user data was still intact
- Booted to stock system recovery, wiped data/factory reset & wipe cache
- apply sdcard:update.zip
