View 2 RepliesWhat kind of format is the .3pg the video recording is saved? Can zoom be enable for the video recorder?
View 2 Replies View RelatedNow records at 30Fps with stereo sound. Phone arena is saying this was an undocumented upgrade. Sorry if this was posted already, but I didn't see it anywhere.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi don't record video very often, so i just noticed this problem after having my droid for almost a month. does anyone else experience this? it's a little difficult to explain, but it seems like the automatic brightness of the video recorder is not working correctly. in low light scenarios, instead of the video getting brighter so you can see more, it actually gets DIMMER. i can tell this because i set up a scenario where half the room is regular light and half is low light.
things look fine in the regular light. additionally, things look fine when i have both sides of the room in the picture, and i can tell the droid adjusts a little because the the picture will get brighter, causing the regular light side to be very bright but the low light side to be visible (that's the expected behavior). then, when i pan to the low light side, i see the camera make a brightness adjustment again, but it gets dimmer rather than brighter, making it almost impossible to see anything. the screen basically turns black. i'm sure this is not how it's supposed to work, but what i'm wondering is whether i have a faulty unit and should exchange or whether everyone has this issue. did anyone understand this post?
Has anyone found a fix or an app for the video zoom? I was pretty disappointed that Froyo didn't fix this.

View 3 Replies View Relatedcan anyone tell me if there is going to be a way to download a video recorder to the tmobile g1, since there isn't one on the phone as is?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got a new g1 today and was reinstalling my apps. I noticed the video recorder app is no longer on the market. I was able to find the voice client (sound for the video) but not the actual video recorder. Does anyone know why it was pulled by google or does anyone know the dev's site/or have it where I can just download it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedA number of previous posts imply that attempts to apply bespoke image processing on a Camera preview are hamstrung by a buggy API and will in any event run extremely slowly due to the need to manually decode the preview buffer. Can anyone comment on whether it is possible to use the video recorder as an alternative means of achieving this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to develop an application for the android 1.5 sdk version that allows the user to simply recorder a video but it has been a long road. I can record audio with the simple example on the android developers website but when I put the VideoSource and the VideoEncoder lines it gives a 100 error that means that the Camera server died. Here is an example of the code.
recorder.setCamera(mCamera); recorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC);
recorder.setVideoSource(MediaRecorder.VideoSource.CAMERA);
recorder.setOutputFormat(MediaRecorder.OutputFormat.THREE_GPP); recorder.setAudioEncoder(MediaRecorder.AudioEncoder.AMR_NB);
recorder.setOutputFile("/sdcard/dcim/Camera/test.3gp");
recorder.setVideoEncoder(MediaRecorder.VideoEncoder.MPEG_4_SP);
recorder.prepare(); recorder.start(); ...
Here is the debug error messages:

So despite the GPS glitches I experienced with my first Moment, this second unit is really impressing me. Everyday I grow to like it even more and I can't believe I almost traded it for a Hero!
I love the solid build and the ability to customize the phone.
I love the physical keyboard but also having the option of a virtual keyboard.
I love the thousands of available apps.
I love having a video recorder and camera in one.
I love the AMOLED screen.
HTC had a nice voice recording app on the Sprint Hero. It recorded to mp3. The only 2 half decent apps I have found in the market only record to amr. Anyone know of a recorder that records to mp3?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat would y'all recommend? I see tons of them on AppBrain, but it doesn't seem that any of them do both things, and the few that do have ridiculous time limits o the records like 2-4 minutes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI did the search and found 3 threads all worthless. I don't care about legalities. I just want a working call recorder for the Motorola Droid. Please3 don't start rambling in this thread about legalities I don't care it's not for use in court only for HOA meetings.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI live in Indiana so one person is needs to know. I only need an app that will run on the Droid X now. I have reported it to the FCC, and they said to get a recording of the call and as much information as possible.
It's E Business Group (602) and the are calling for Anthony which is the wrong number, but as soon as I even start to ask to be taken off their list they say "Sorry for bothering you" and hang up so quick I can't even get the words out.
We are a new company that is focused on Android development. We have completed and uploaded our Fusion Recorder application into the Android Market. We've worked hard to make sure that it is a reliable product and that it contains a solid set of features for version one (v.1). We are currently working on the designs for our our Website, facebook, and Twitter pages since posting our application. We look forward to adding features as we move forward.
We are interested in feedback from users and want to make sure our product(s) are as defect free as possible. So, if you do run into an issue, big or small, please shoot us an email at our support email.
Here are a some screen shots that show off the Fusion Recorder User Interface.
Also, if you don't see a feature you like please email that to us so we can add it to our Feature Request database. It may not be the next week we add it (we take testing seriously, which takes time). But we definitely will review such requests, which we understand are valuable.
Also, we were able to test this on a few Android Smartphones, but we are looking forward to seeing if there are any issues on phones we have not tested on. So, if you run into an issue please include, at the least, the Android Smartphone manufacturer, product name, Android OS version number (e.g. Android 2.2).
I wish there was a way you could zoom while video recording.. I hate that this isn't an option.. This is sooo simple.. Why couldn't HTC incorporate this in the camcorder?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a meeting coming up at work next week that I think is in my best interests to record. Going through the Market I saw that some of the audio recorders are buggy, especially with the Droid. Can anyone recommend a stable, decent audio recorder that I can use? Also, before anyone asks, I am from a state where only one party needs to consent to recording, so there are no legal issues here. To be honest, I plan on asking everyone there if they mind if I record it anyway. Should any of them say no, I still won't have any problems recording it.
View 49 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of an app that will create a zoom on the video camcorder?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I've been pretty disappointed to know that the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 have no 16:9 aspect ratios, which means that widescreen videos will have black bars displaying on the top.
Currently, on my iPhone 4S and 3rd generation iPad, I can double tap and "crop" the video, and this makes the video fill up the entire screen and videos looks really nice. However, on a Galaxy Note and a Galaxy S III, I've tried doing the same thing but they refuse to crop.
Is there something that I am missing or is there no double tap to zoom at all?
For some strange reason, and I haven't done any phone software updates - But the digital Zoom on both my camera and video has gone - Nothing happens when I press the volume rocker? I'm on Orange, with a branded phone and it definitely used to work.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow do you zoom in and out on a web page like you could do on the old droid?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI guess that's what it's called? Basically where the web page/text reformats to fit the width of the screen when zoomed. There is a video floating around from The Street TV where the "reviewer" says the DX doesn't do this.I really like this feature (Evo does this quite well) and is one of my pet peeves with browsing on my Ipod Touch.Does anyone know for sure whether DX does or doesn't have this capability?I asked the guy who did the AC benchmark test and he said that the DX does do this. Someone else said that it's a setting in the browser. Others are saying that it doesn't do it.Seems like such a basic feature that I can't imagine a phone like the DX would not be able to do this.
