Does anybody know a good portable chargers that you can feed some AAs or ones with their own battery that you can charge?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI bought 2 spare BP6X batteris and a Motorola OEM P323 Charger for my Droid. Does anyone know why my Droid says the battery is fully charged, 100% (with cord attached), then if I put it in the charger the red light stays on and it charges for another 30 minutes? The app battery status pro (new) also shows a higher voltage when said battery is re-inserted into the phone.

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend and I both bought this phone from Verizon last Friday. We both let the battery run down completely before charging it up (which I was told by the Verizon rep was the "way to go"), and we have both been experiencing GOD AWFUL battery life. Strange battery behavior has included (but has not been limited to):
- Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours straight of browsing, playing games, etc., followed by the Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours of idle (with light texting and a few quick phone calls mixed in). Seemingly no consistency.
- Battery draining down to around 30% after about 8 hours off-charger with light to moderate use (a few web pages, a few apps downloaded, and about half a dozen texts). If this wasn't annoying enough, shortly after reaching 30%, the phone suddenly took a nosedive into the red, and warned me that I had 5% battery remaining.................
I picked up my X at 8am this morning. I've been on it all day long, but I'm noticing that my battery won't gain a charge even though it's been connected for a couple of hours. Am I doing something wrong or do I have an actual issue? I tried AC and USB power and pulled the battery and it's still at 50%.

View 11 Replies View RelatedLooking forward to warmer weather in the NE US and thinking about nice long bike rides. I am psyched to have such a cool little GPS/computer/map system and plan to take the Droid on long rides. Some will be 3+ hours and I don't want to worry about running out of juice. Researching it looks like I have a few options and wanted to know what you all think. Mostly I think the droid will just sit in my Jersey pocket with screen off but tracking GPS. Occasionally I will check maps.
1- buy a spare battery - weight- not much, 1300 mAh - Downside, sometime during the ride I will need to swap batteries and restart GPS apps that I might be running. This would be really annoying so I think this is out as an option.
2- battery extender like Satechi iCel 4400 mAh Battery Extender. Pricey but would certainly give me enough ride time & gets excellent reviews
3 - Solio H1000 Universal Hybrid Charger Not as much power as the battery extender but I really like the idea of charging while I am out riding, although it seems to charge pretty slowly and needs direct sunlight. Even without serious sun it would probably provide enough of a charge for all but the longest rides. Gets "ok" reviews

I'd like to get a second battery and an external charger, this seems like a cheap solution while keeping OEM parts. The only thing I'm really questioning is the voltage output of the external charger to the battery. Any way to tell if it will charger correctly? If you know the answer, please provide reasoning.

My Droid was sitting on my desk next to me, it had about 80% battery life left, I get a few txt messages, and then its giving me the warning that my battery life is 15% and to plug it into the charger. Well I put it on the charger, and not even 30 seconds go by, and its fully charged. This has only happened once so far, but I am concerned is the battery slowly dying out, or is it just a glitch in the phone?

I can't figure out what's going on. I don't believe I've done anything much different today than any other day. ETA...I downloaded and installed 2 apps last night from the market...GPS Status (but it and GPS is off) and Microsoft Tag Reader (also is not running).

View 11 Replies View RelatedI picked up a Droid X today from a local NJ authorized VZW dealer, not a VZW company store.It's my first "smart" phone and I hope it will be worth the extra $30 a month that I will be paying. So far I love it!Anyway, the guy told me to charge the phone all night long.I played with the phone this afternoon and the battery completely died at about 7pm. I plugged it in and checked it at 10pm and it was at 100%. Should I keep it plugged in all night long? The paperwork doesn't say to keep it charging after it's reached 100%.

Yesterday I plugged it into my notebook and work desktop and it was at 50%. Left it there for a while, came back and was still at 50%. Tried it while mounted and not mounted. View 2 Replies View RelatedI manually installed the FRG01B update yesterday. And since doing so, I have noticed a ridiculously steep drop in battery life. Do I need to be running FRG22? Is that available to download manually, if so? I also know that I don't have the version of Facebook that was causing battery drainage. ATK didn't seem to help at all (it might have even made it worse). Is there anything I can do to vastly improve battery life? It would be great if I could get the phone's battery to last at least 24 hours. I already uninstalled ATK, by the way.

I usually use my DEXIM. but it does not work with the Behold 2. I've tried a car charger/battery unit by Wireless Gear that said it was compatible with all Samsung phones, it came with 5 power tips and a USB outlet that still would not work, even using the OEM USB cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will go with OEM Samsung if necessary, but there selection is limited.
