General :: Lose Root Permissions Each Time
Sep 29, 2013Every few days(sometimes once a day) I get a 'new' android 4.3 update, which once it reboots into the teamwin bootloader, and finishes installing the update(which always seems to work for first 2 steps but says no contents in file, then 2 errors after) I lose root access and it asks if I want to reapply (which I do) and it loads as normal on a restart. I am with build number JWR66N now, but the info page on the TWRP window shows it updates JWR66N to (And I forgot the number here, but its different)
So I'd like to know, is it normal to have 'constant' android updates like this, and if not, what build number should I have?
I have had this issue since about a week after I got my nexus, its been rooted ever since, but in an attempt to fix this issue(Which is just annoying, I doubt its causing any real damage) I unrooted the nexus, updated it(Manually) and re-rooted it using the wugfresh rootkit.

Dec 11, 2009I have a question regarding syncing and g mail. I have only had the phone for a few hours, and I love it, but I am a little frustrated. I have setup my Google Mail, Contact, and Calendar and everything works great until I try to delete a goggle mail from my phone. When I delete the msg from the phone, it deletes the msg from the g mail server. I DO NOT want this to happen. I have looked into g mail and the settings, along with the settings on the phone. I have also tried to create filters, and I still have the same results. Is it possible to only do a "one way" sync? I do not want to lose msgs off my g mail. Am I doing something wrong, or am I just missing something?

Nov 28, 2009So my I randomly got a notification tonight saying my SD card was corrupted. My Eris told me I had to format it, so I tried through my phone, and nothing happened. When I connected it to the computer, I tried formatting it through there and when I click on format (Using Windows 7 32-bit), it tells me there is no drive at drive F: Does anyone have any ideas? I used to have a microSD converter so I could use it in a card reader but I don't know where its gone too, and don't know if it would help anyways.

Jan 16, 2010I had mounted my sd card to transfer files between pc (XP) and eris.
i correctly unmounted from pc (safely remove hardware) and then stopped file sharing on eris.
i took the card out and put in a different one (i don't have a card reader and was trying to transfer some stuff).
when i tried to put the original card back in, my finger slipped as i was pushing it in and it got like halfway in and then popped back out.
the eris saw this as an unsafe removal.
now, it keeps telling me "the sd card is blank or using an unsupported .." something. if i tap on the notification, it just takes to me a window to format it. i keep saying yes to format, but it never formats.
i've tried formatting from settings and tried mounting it again and formatting from the pc. when i do that, the pc says that the drive size is 1.08 TB (?!?!?). this is the 8GB sd card that comes with the eris. and it also won't let me format.
what gives? i've tried taking it out and putting it back in. it keeps saying unsafe removal but the option to unmount is grayed out and i can't choose it.
i tried taking it out, turning off the eris, putting the card in and turning back on. still nothing.
what's going on here?
Motorola Droid X :: Lose Bluetooth (and Earbud) Music After Call Or Other Notification
Sep 10, 2010I've searched hi and low, so I apologize if this has been answered before.I have a stock Droid-X. I have my blue-tooth paired to Motorola HT820 stereo/phone headsets. SIDE NOTE: I also use wired stereo ear-buds that are music and phone capable as well.Here's the problem.I can be listening to Pandora with my HT820's all is fine, I am grooving.. then I receive a phone call. I carry on the phone call for 5+ minutes (or whatever) through the HT's and when I disconnect from the call, I have nothing but silence! Music does not come back. I check to make sure Pandora is running and the music is playing yep, still no sound though.So I try and test what is happening.I then go back and call, say voice mail. The call goes over the HT's fine. But when I disconnect from the call, my music is not there. I try turning off, then back on the blue-tooth (I double check in settings I am connected and it is) but it still won't play my music, it will come over the regular speaker, when I turn of the blue tooth. The only way to bring it back is to power off the X. My music will then play again until I receive another call or notification like a text message.The weird thing is this happens when I use the wired ear buds plugged into the jack. These are designed not only for stereo, but handling phone calls too. No sound, I unplug and the music plays out the speaker. Again only powering off and on the X will get the music back into the wired ear buds. Like I said, this is a stock phone, not rooted. Paired and connected, Media and phone checked.

Jan 2, 2014I tried to format it on my laptop via adapter, by right clicking SD Card F: going to format, selecting FAT32, checking the quick format box, and pressing start but whenever I place it back in my phone, it won't mount. It says it's damaged. I had the same problem when I first purchased the sd card but found a link online that showed me how to format it a different way,in another location, which worked perfectly. I recently removed the sd card for something though and encountered this same problem but am unable to find that same link. It's driving me nuts!
