View 9 RepliesWhy can't I synchronize my google calendars WITH THE SAME COLOR!?
iPhone has the same problem but work arounds, why is the GOOGLE Android OS not in sync with my actual colors in GMAIL CALENDAR?
I would like to be able to synchronize Contacts, Tasks, Calendars, and Texts between my PC and my Andoid phone. I would like to do this without using Google, since Google stores the stuff on their servers.
At the moment, my email resides on a server we own in a NOC.
I use Thunderbird with Lightning on my PC which gives me email, tasks, calendar, and contacts in one interface.
I then use MyPhoneExplorer to Sync with my Android. This gives me tasks, calendar, and contacts synchronized, but all in separate interfaces and then I've got K-9 for email which is again separate.
What I'd like is an email client that included tasks, calendar, and integrated properly with contacts on both my PC and my Android.
I'm willing to use pretty much any software on the PC and on the Android, but I've found nothing that does this cleanly.
My tasks are email centric, meaning that I create tasks out of emails because that's how I get work requests.
I'm willing to use any combination of apps on my PC and on my Android, but the ideal solution would be one applications for all of it which integrated nicely with the Android phone contact list.
Long-time lurker here making my first post. I tried doing a search but wasn't able to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I downloaded Android 2.2 this morning. Note: I did not attempt to sync my
"corporate" microsoft exchange calendar before today so I have no knowledge of how this may have worked on Android 2.1. I believe I read somewhere that 2.1 allowed for separate or multiple calendars.
I just set up my "Corporate Sync" account today on my stock Droid X and it merged all of my work's Calendar events (via exchange) with my Personal Gmail Calendar events into one calendar.
I'd prefer to keep these things calendars separate as it's hard enough to not think about work when I'm not at home!
I have 2 Questions:
(1) Does anyone know if there is a way to have two separate calendars (i.e. one for work, and one personal)?
(2) If I add an event to my Google Calendar will it sync to my Corporate Calendar? I'm assuming No since I don't think it does it in the opposite manner (e.g. Corporate calendar doesn't sync to Google Calendar).
Jorte also merged all my Work events and Personal events together despite the settings only stating that it will only sync my Google Calendar. So I can't use Jorte and Google to view Personal and Work calendars that way.
I'm trying to add my school email to my NEW droid x, but it won't let me it keeps saying:"The social service is unable to automatically set up this account".what do i need to do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a long time Palm user. I have a Centro and recently, just testing, moved all my contacts to Gmail and "some" of like 10 years of Calendar data (but not nearly all of it) - an no Memeo's or Tasks. Well, my Droid should be here in a few days and I wonder.. should I kill off and delete my test Calendar data and my contacts from my Gmail account? I plan to use that CompanionLink to do a 1 time sync of my Palm data and want to mitigate any issues and just have a nice clean port over. Best to remove what I have done OR leave what I have done since CompanionLink and Google will sort it out (redundant entries).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have several gmail mail calendars and unfortunately, the Android phone (HTC Magic OS 1.5 in my case) only allows for one account for the calendar. The same goes for the gmail app, which also only allows for one account.I can get around the email situation by using the mail app... but thus far, I have not had any success finding an app that supports more than one calendar. Every non-Android phone I had in the past could handle more than one calendar! Can anyone suggest the appropriate app that will solve this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy GMail calendar appears on my new Motorola Droid, however I can not seem to add additional calendars. In google.com/calendar, mine plus 3 others (personal, shared, not public) are visible, but on the droid:

my calendars
(only 1 shows up)
click "+ Add Calendars"
I get an aparatn drop down down arror next to add calendars, which has nothing and isn't clickable. OK is greyed out and Cancel is the only thing I can do on this screen.
I saw a nice calendar on one of the threads showcasing the diff screen people have. What are the best calendar apps out there, anybody?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI added my Corporate Sync (Exchange) account, and all 11 calendars that I have at work loaded. However, they all share the same name (i.e. the name I gave the account) and color. When I view the calendars at work, they all have a unique name. I can't find a way on the phone to change these calendars' names or colors.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a fairly new Droid X user and am having issues syncing up my google calendar with the default calendar that comes with Droid X. I doesn't show all the calendars on the phone, only the default google one on my phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFrom my computer, I can log into my Google calendar and not only does it have my personal calendar, but it also includes the weather, US Holidays, and various sports schedules that I have chosen. On my Droid X, I was able to add the weather & US Holidays to my calendar, but not the sports schedules.
Also, I previously had a BlackBerry, and anytime I would accept Facebook events from my BlackBerry, it would automatically add it to my calendar (which was synced with my Google calendar). I don't think my Droid X has this same feature.
Just activated new Droid X phones for me and my wife. Set up Gmail accounts and imported contacts and calendars from outlook 2007. Is there a way I can keep our contacts and calendars continually synched over the air?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the Hero today, and have been trying all day to set up my email but nothing has worked.I've tried my yahoo (the account I prefer) and gmail, but neither work. I keep getting msgs from "incorrect user/password" to "mail server not responding".I've been searching online for a few hrs now trying everything and nothing helps.when I activated the phone the guy said that it would be a while before things like mms would be working; so would it take a while for the email to link up as well?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI want to mainly just use gmail now since I get so much junk in my yahoo email. I just am wondering how I can have my mail forwarded to gmail.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust thought I would share a little information I have found with my fellow Droid owners. This guide will allow you to (freely) forward your Yahoo! email to a newly created (or old) Gmail Account for easier integration with your Droid (or other Android Devices) without paying the $20 a month Yahoo! requires for premium service. First create your Gmail account if you do not already have one.
Also I am coming from the "New Yahoo"
Step 1: Sign into Yahoo Mail
Step 2: Click options on the upper right hand corner of your screen. Select to switch to Yahoo Mail Classic
Step 3: In the top left hand corner is your name. Highlight it and select "Account Info". It will ask you to put your password in again.
Step 4: Under Account Setting click "Set language, site, time-zone."
Step:5 Click New Setting and change it to Yahoo! Asia. Also accept the new Terms of Agreement.
You should now see a Yahoo! Asia logo on your homescreen.
We can now enable POP access and Email Forwarding without the $20 a normal member would pay.
Step 6: Click options again in the top right hand corner. Then Mail Options.
Step 7: On the left of the screen select POP and Forwarding. Then Set up or edit Pop and Forwarding.
Step 8: Click the bubble next to forwarding and enter in your new gmail account. Click Save.
Step 9: Send Verification
Step 10: Go to your gmail and grab the confirmation code and go back to the Yahoo! and enter. Enter password again.
I am doing an Android application and I want to get the last 25 sent mails from a certain email account. For Gmail I might use http://g4j.sourceforge.net/ and there is Mail Web Service API for Yahoo at http://developer.yahoo.com/mail/.But I couldn't find something to do it with Hotmail.Do you know if it is possible? Also I am worried of having so many dependencies. I don't know if I should do something like https://sourceforge.net/projects/mrpostman/ and do web scraping.
