I was playing with the new version of Sapphire (0.6.2) and with the themes available now...I thought I'd share some of the wallpapers I created to go with the ROM.This theming also helps me identify what ROM I'm running cause I flash so many.I just noticed a lack of themes and options for the Sapphire ROM so trying to spread some love their way.

today i went to see family. my uncle and my aunt both have iphones. it was hilarious how much they loved it. They had this picture in their living room but didn't know what city it was from so I took a pic with goggles and bam everything about the city. they were shocked. The artwork all came up too. Pictures of plants although it said failed search the images on the bottom were accurate. my aunt being from korea was infatuated with the english/korea translation. the google sky, turn maps with audio, google earth.Funny part is my uncle was like fine lets test the speed so we both open up speedtest and he gets like 4.5mb/s and im at like 1.4mb/s (3g) and he's like yeah atleast the iphone is faster (even though my pages loaded first). That bugged me for like an hour. how can att be 4mb a sec? I know they can get some awesome speeds but thats crazy. sure enough i checked his settings later and the slick old fart was connected to his wifi. so i turned it off and he got 600kbs on 3g.so he spent the next hour watching evo vs iphone4 video's on youtube. I loved it after hearing him talk about his iphone all the time for the last 2 years.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my droid to froyo (sapphire) and everything seemed to be going smooth until i rebooted the phone from recovery. The motorola M screen came up and then the sapphire came up. After about ten seconds it goes away and reappears and has been doing this for the past 35 minutes. Is this normal? Any clue on what i need to do to fix this?

Coming from Cyanogen, I'm mostly interested in the music volume rocker controls for skipping through songs when the screen is off. I know the problem with Sapphire has typically been that the volume rocker controls sometimes continually skip through songs when the button is pressed, but mine seems to only start the current song over. Anyone else have this problem? The lock screen controls work fine, but I'd like to get the volume rocker working correctly so I can keep my eyes on the road when driving.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed a custom HTC Hero ROM about a month ago - all was perfect. Decided to gift the phone to my phone and did a factory reset (idiotic move I know) which has now left me in brick status.I have adb set up although it doesn't recognize the phone when it's connected via USB and in Fastboot. Any advice on how to get it recognized?I've checked the SD Card and everything remains in tact (it's readable, has my Nandroid back-up, etc.). The issue is that I can't see to get the computer to recognize the device to go about my backup. Any thoughts / suggestions?

I went to the console and type in 'free' command, got the total memory is about 99xxx, that means about 100M RAM, it looks too small! Was I checking the right source? The spec. on the net says it should be 192M.And, the Sapphire on my hand get a 3M camera, but the specification on net says that should be 5M. Which one is right?

I have had this problem in the past with my Inc and Droid but all I did was go into settings and have it show only people with phone numbers but on my X I can't find this setting. Am I overlooking it somewhere or is there no setting for this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded MixZing and noticed that the art for the albums I copied from my laptop does not show up. However, the art for the files I downloaded through the phone, does show up. Also, all the album art does show up with the native music app - downloaded and copied. The album art for the copied files resides as jpg's in the same directory as the songs. I'm wondering if I need to copy them elsewhere. One other thing, unrelated, how do you stop a song? I can pause a song that's playing but can not find a way to just stop it altogether. This is a problem for native app and MixZing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I go into Gmail (I do not have push notification on, just check it every once in a while) it will say at the top "Inbox (2)", but then says "No Conversations" in the middle of the screen where it is supposed to list all the emails in my Inbox. I know that there are two in there because they are there whenever I check Gmail on my computer.I looked for an option in the Gmail settings in case it only shows unread mail, but can't find anything.If I navigate to a different label, it will show all the emails in them, just not the Inbox.It started out OK, but I just noticed it a day or so ago doing this.My father was messing around with my phone the other day, and I'm wondering if he did something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have never had any gallery problems that i can remember, but all of a sudden my images/folders arent showing in the gallery. I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.
I just downloaded Handcent and for some reason when I get a text not only does Handcent show a notification so does the defualt and the ringtone goes off twice? How do I set it up so only handcent works. Thank You

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs anyone having a problem with their Droid X not showing the right location, such as in Beautiful Widgets? It recently started a few weeks ago. If I try to use the Navigation, when it looks for the GPS satellite, it shows me at the wrong location, but then it refreshes and puts me in the right location. Is there some type of setting that may need to be changed? It's very annoying seeing the weather location being in the wrong city.

Now none of them are showing up. yet i can play them from AStro.

View 3 Replies View Relatedok so i rooted my droid a whlie ago to 2.2 but now i'm getting 2.2 froyo update. So i decided well might as well get the official one right? so i tried to install it but then it goes to the rooted reboot screen and i just press reboot now. couple days later i get the update in the notification bar again.
Help please! should i unroot(already overclock though and don't really want all my data to be deleted)? and get the ota update? what should i do?
this phone is pretty sweet with all that it can do but my major issue is with texting. I use handcent and every once in a while if I get a text and I unlock my phone and open the message before it stops vibrating ill see the first few words on the preview bar but when the handcent finnaly opens the message wont be there. its happend to me prolly 10 times now and kinda sucks asking people to resend the message. It only seems to happen when I open everything quickly, and also once in a while if its doing a function like closing handcent and I hit the power button before it fully closes the phone will restart which also is kinda anoying.

As soon as I got the new droid, I hooked it up to my computer flashed back to Android 2.0.1, and used Universal AndRoot to root the phone. After that I used Rom Manager to flash ClockworkMod, and then I installed a backup that I did on my previous Droid. Everything workd great. I'm back running CM 6.0 set up just as it was on my old phone.
The problem now is that when I go into settings to change a ring tone or a notification tone all the "stock" sounds are listed twice. I don't know how to remove the duplicate.
I've deleted system/media/audio, rebooted the phone and then I only had one of everything in the menus to choose a tone. This had a negative effect as it also deleted sounds for some other actions as well. So I moved a backup copy of audio back to system/media, and the duplicates are back.
I've searched with Root Explorer for various ringtone files, and have deleted files off my SDcard thinking it was pulling files from it, but that hasn't worked.
I got 2.1 update OTA yesterday. it runs better, and a little smoother/faster on most everything. the problem I am experiencing is that I can just power on the phone but within 5 minutes, I have 10-15 apps showing up in ATK. I kill the apps, and within 5 minutes I have 10-15 apps again. I am not opening the apps, but they just appear. I know this is draining my life, and may be the cause for a lot of other peoples battery issues since 2.1. Can anyone help?
I have unplugged the battery for about 7 hours(overnight), but no change. Iam in the process of running the battery down completely to shutoff then recharging. This is quite annoying.
Got my X today, had Verizon transfer the contacts from my Omnia to the X. (Backup Assistant was not available for the Omnia)Anyway, on the home screen, if I click the bottom right contacts button, none of my contacts show up, even under the different categories. Nothing in google, nothing in phone contacts.However, if I click the bottom left button (phone icon), it brings up all of my contacts.How can I get this migrated over to the other contacts? I tried backup assistant and m:IQ, with no luck. Neither of them back up the contacts listed on the left icon list.Any help is appreciated.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a picture from the web onto my X. I used dropbox. The problem I'm having is I can see the picture when I go to phone files. I copy and paste from dropbox to my picture folder. The picture doesn't show up in the gallery. So just to be sure I copied the picture to a folder called background, its still not there in the gallery. Weird thing is when I go back to the phone files, and look for it. Its there in the gallery folder AND the background folder, but STILL not in the gallery! not sure whats going on there? I just want to make a picture a background thats all. It would be nice to just go into the phone files LONG press a picture and have the "Set As" option. This option only seems to be available in the gallery.

When i look at downloads on the browser it will show only the picture you clicked on as being in the gallery, but as soon as you open the regular gallery outside the browser download menu... it wont show up. Who would have thought it would be so hard to update a twitter pic on such a "smart"phone -__-

I am using an activesync account with for my work email which syns calendar/contacts/email. For some reason every email address that i have ever sent an email to shows up as a contact.anyone else seen this or know how to resolve? all of my contacts are in there that i want but there are an additional 500+ "contacts" that are just email addresses that i have sent to through work.
