If I take a photo and email it to myself or copy it over USB, then upload it to Picasa via the PC, the latitude + longitude show up just fine. But if I instead upload it directly to Picasa from the Media Gallery app, the GPS coordinates are inexplicably removed. The files are otherwise identical, same file size, same resolution.

I though Google was about integration, but today I failed to load a video using both the Droid or my PC (usb) to my picasa web page...
I think it is a bit silly that Picasa isn't compatible with Android videos... 3gp files (Is this phone specific?)...
But I can upload to youtube!
Anybody knows of a good converter for these files?
Anyway, sad... Even worst after seeing the Windows Phone 7 preview. Maybe that's going to kick the development a bit.
I know how to upload single photos but I can't figure out how to upload multiple ones to facebook. If I select multiple photos and choose share. I only get the option to use Gmail/SMS/picasa/bluetooth.

The regular gallery app is limited to flickr which I don't use, I don't use Picasa either but keeping all else google at least makes it easier to integrate later on... I don't use facebook either... Heaven would be imageshack for me, so what does one do in this dilly of a pickle?
I'm trying to upload some photos to Picasa using the Share feature in the Gallery. However, it doesn't seem to want to upload them to my Google account, which is non-Gmail. I have a Gmail account as well so that I can purchase apps from the Market, and it's only giving me the option of using that account. Any way to change this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have G+ to sync photos. In my gallery, every photo syncs just fine except for the Instant Upload folder.
In the G+ app, under photos - Instant Upload album displays the images just fine.
In short, gallery shows Instant Upload as a blank folder but G+ shows it full of picture.

When looking through my HTC Desire's photos settings I only found integration with flickr and facebook.
I recall the N1 having the option to integrate with picasa aswell. Currently I use Picasa Tool Pro as a solution, but I'd much rather have it with the rest of my photos.
can anyone else upload video/pictures from the gallery to youtube/picasa successfully? mine keeps saying "failed to retrieve account information" no matter what service I try to upload to.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to upload photos from my Desire to my Picasa web albums and having no success. When i use the share function on the phone I am asked to create a google account or sign in. As I have a google account which i use for my google calender, contacts and tasks I try signing in with that. That is as far as i get, after it trying to connect to the google server and returning to the picture of the photo i wanted to upload. My desire is still syncing ok with calender,contacts and tasks so the account is accessible but not to picasa it seems. I have downloaded Picasa 3 to my laptop and can upload photos from there fine.Any pointers/solutions will of course be gratefully received.

Now I have quite a few videos in there as well, but I do remember a message saying that videos are not supported by Picasa and that only the photos would be uploaded. I'm now trying to do the same thing, but whenever I choose the entire 'Camera' folder to upload to Picasa, the only 'Share' options are YouTube, Gmail, and Bluetooth. Does anyone know how I may have done that the first time, or a way to sync photos from the gallery to Picasa web albums?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to pull in google plus photos when using photoshop touch and autostitch apps etc. But their import options only access local folders on my device. I can download individual photos one at a time to a generic download folder from google plus to use, not full albums. When I try to create a new folder in gallery, and move the Picasa/Google Plus photos I get a notice saying "unsupported file." I read somewhere that there should be an option in gallery that makes photos available offline, but I don't have that. Just basically trying to be able to organize and download my g+ photos for use with these apps, in a less time consuming way.

Under my account sync settings in Android, along with Gmail and Contacts and all that, I've got "Sync Google Photos" and "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
What's the difference between these two choices?

I'm blown away by the picture quality but I still don't understand the best way to save/manage photo's on an online site. I know there's Picassa, Flikr and Photobucket. Has anyone tried multiple sites and determined the best tool to save pictures. My goal is to be able to easily upload them from my phone (without having to connect to PC) and share the albums online. I've done a little research and it looks like the Photobucket app might be the way to go.

This allowed me to upload pix and videos from phone to pc and viceversa. I did a hard reset to my phone and lost all settings. Can't remember how to set it back.

I'm having some issues with the facebook app (native). I can't seem to upload photos, I don't get an error message or anything just photo cannot be uploaded.
I've been having problems with the native app, therefore I downloaded BLOO. I just don't like the idea of having 2 different FB apps to do everything I want to do :- would love any advice.
I've tried having wifi off and on and neither made a difference, and I've restarted the phone
With a Droid X you are only allowed to connect to 1 Picasa Account?
With my D1 I was able to have one for each Gmail address I had..

I've taken several photos on my HTC Incredible and want to upload them to my PC. I tried using the Hard drive function but when I look in the file manager on my PC desktop, I don't see any folders containing the photos I just took. They're in the phone, honest, just can't upload them. How do I do it? I even downloaded a file manager (Astro?) from the droid store but it had dozens and dozens of folders and I have no clue. The manual says photos I take are stored on the sim card so I even tried taking that out, putting it into the SanDisk adapter and plugged that into a multiple card reader and still couldn't find the photos. Where the hell are they?

The application mainly uses SOAP webservices to communicate with the server, but I do not know how to serialize a stream of bytes in KSOAP and therefore I need some help. The solution should not necessarily use KSOAP. A valid solution would be to upload the photo on some server, and just retrieve the URL, which will be stored in the database.

No it has started working again, so any pics I take go to instant upload as they should. But, the many pics taken during the months that it wasn't working are still on the phone and not on instant upload. It seems like it should 'sync' them but it is not - it is only sending any new pics I take, not the old ones.
