I rooted my droid to 2.2 froyo and installed the Black Ice Froyo. I was wondering how do I go about putting on a new them do. I just download it through rom manager or do I have to go back to the default droid theme if so how do I go back?

I had Frozen yogart installed, tried to install a theme and now it wont start and it wont boot into Clockwork, its going into stock recovery.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I plug my phone in, it tries to install the drivers but can't. I am running XP and yes I know it's because I have USB debugging turned on. But you kind of have to if you want to root it. I've tried turning USB debugging off, installing the drivers, and then turning it back on which failed. ADB wouldn't recognize my phone. I've tried charge only and PC mode. I'm getting irritated because I paid money for Root explorer and I'd like to be able to use it. Not to mention titanium backup.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust did the Froyo OTA earlier - it updated without a hitch (and real fast thanks to broadband Wifi). I've been playing around with my "new" DX and no issues since the update this afternoon. Seems to working great so far. Even though Froyo has just been released I'm curious on what may be changed/enhanced/deleted/etc for Gingerbread (perhaps what other changes people here might expect or want). I have read some of the posts here about it and understand its mostly just speculation at this point, but I thought I might ask anyway. I do hope Motoblur might be removed or at least diminished more than it is now for 3.0. Its supposed to be out by the end of the year from what I've read. Also some have posted that the DX may not get Gingerbread. Hope that's not true.

View 3 Replies View RelatedInstalled the 2.2 that leaked yesterday - works amazing by the way.Anyway, I wanted to install some of my downloaded apps to SD. Surprise surprise, it doesn't appear that I have this option on ANY of the 15 or so apps I've downloaded.I've read that developers need to unlock this option when they create their app - I guess most of the apps available today just don't support it? Can anyone confirm this? Am I just doing something wrong?
View 10 Replies View RelatedA couple days ago I manually installed froyo for Rogers network.It went fine.however the next day I lost my data.I can't get it back no matter what I do.Can anyone help me get it back?Or know how?I checked my APN settings a million times,I called Rogers and they refreshed my network but still not working. If I reboot my phone, I get the 3g symbol for about 2 seconds then it goes away and that's it.Someone please help me if you can!

I used to only go into the orange after a full day at work, now my battery died at around 12 Midday (Unplugged it 5 hours before) - I haven't been playing around on my phone or anything, this is just idle use.
Went through all my settings and all were the same as before. I'm NOT running any Task Killer or AutoSync software. Running stock OTA Froyo, never routed my phone before or after.
Just a real general ? for eveyone. Just wanna know what everyone is using for a rom and them. I am running Nextheme r2. but missing a couple of things that I like. So if I can a rough idea of the winner I might try that one. I am waiting and hoping for sense ui as long it does not slow down droid.

I wanted to try out a new theme tho and saw that sometimes installing a theme over another leaves traces of the old and bgx seems like a deep theme. Would I be able to flash rubix again, like the first time,to get to a stock Rom and install the theme from there?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have bb v8 on my phone with a blue rez theme which i like,. Upon loading v1.0 the phonbe seems to be fine. When i relkoaded my blue rez theme everything works except fro incoming calls. The phone force closess all incoming calls. Anyone else have this problem and know of a fix. Is there any new blue themes for 1.0. I assume beacuse v8 is a 53base and v1.0 is a 81 base and the theme is not compatable.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Question, I had liquid froyo 1.6 on my phone with one of the available themes, compared to bb0.4 it used a lot more of the battery.Yes I had the same apps on the phone with the same widgets and using the phone in the same areas as I normally do. Also used it less than I have with bb 0.4. I went from 100% down to 90% in about 15 min. just using a IM Program. Do these phones have more drain with a theme installed. I know that blackberry's suffered from this problem.
