Motorola CLIQ :: Unable To Send Facebook Notifications Through MotoBLUR?

I just bought the Cliq for my wife, and it seems as though MotoBLUR doesn't send facebook notifications such as image tagging and whatnot to the phone. She only gets status updates on the main screen. Short of signing up for facebook SMS messages on their site, is there a way to get MotoBLUR to give notifications for everything in facebook? My BlackBerry(s) have always done this with the facebook application, and it's a nice feature.

I just bought this phone and it when I go through the process of making a motoblur account I complete everything and it says error creating account the phone radio is unable to connect to the network. Make sure the radio is on or if it is on, move into better coverage area and try again
- I have full 5 bars
- I have no 3G Plan
- I am on rogers (recognizes and connects)
- Its unlocked and I bought it on ebay

I have a friend that recently bought a MOTOBLUR that touts it can track a lost phone through A-GPS. I figured there are some caveats to this such as the person that stole it must have it turned on, outside, and a clear line to the sky. Is there also a way to disable it?

I am trying to help my girlfriend out. She has had a cliq since March. Recently she ended up doing the unofficial 2.1 update(non-root). All was fine. Upon hearing of the release of the official version, she decided to prep her phone by doing a factory reset as the phone needs to be reverted to 1.5 . Now she cannot log into her motoblur account, nor create a new account. What could be the issue and what can be done to fix it?

Long time crackberry user converted to android. I got my DX on release day, and have been fighting with facebook since. I cannot seem to get any notifications for facebook what so ever. I set up the "Social Networking" app that came on the X out of the box, and that integrated all my FB friends into my contacts which sucks, but anyway, then I downloaded the facebook app for android. I set up all the settings for notifications, and sounds and all that.
But no matter what, I cannot get a facebook notification like I did on my blackberry. Ill get yahoo emails saying so and so commented on your photo, or what not. But nothing else from FB instant. I have to manually go into my facebook app, go to notifications, hit the menu button and select refresh. Last night for some reason I got the little F in the top left notification bar that someone invited me to join an event. But I cant seem to get anything to mimic it again. I've checked HOFO and they suggested I check here.

does anyone know why I not able to upload my pics to facebook. I have done them before and in my notification it's downloading but for days. I also tried emailing them to me and I don't receive those. Any suggestions?

Getting emails, texts, and other notifications (especially the vibrations) while I am on a call is driving me nuts. Where can I turn this feature off? I don't want to turn off notifications and vibration completely; I just want the phone to realize I am busy talking to someone and don't need the sounds and vibrations distracting both parties on the call.
Am I the only one this happens to? I keep searching for others with this problem, but haven't had much luck. Is it an Android issue? 1.5 or 2.0?

I can't seem to copy files to the sdcard inserted into the phone. When I try to do this with Windows Explorer, it just hangs there, and the sdcard area of the phone gets really hot. Once I unplug the USB cable Windows Explorer resumes, but the phone is still stuck there and unresponsive to any button/touch screen presses, and the phone remains hot. Copying from the sdcard works.

What annoys me with the phone book on the cliq is that it list all your contacts from myspace, facebook, motoblur and all those other social networking site into your phone book- even if theres no phone number associated with those contacts. Is there a way to change the settings of the phone book just to list my gmail phone number and addresses without having to sort the contacts every time? Also is there a way to delete contacts on your phone without having to delete them on myspace, facebook, etc?

Why can't i get any notifications from facebook? I have it set so the notification refreshes every 30 mins, but that doesn't work either.. someone commented on my wall and even after 2 hours, i didn't get any notification. is this just how the facebook application is? if it is, are there any other (better) facebook app for droid?

I've looked for an answer to this question but couldn't find one anywhere. I have the Facebook app installed on my Droid and have the settings set to send me notifications for all possible things, but the app itself seems to refuse to update on its own or send me any notifications what-so-ever. Is there anyway to get it to actually refresh on its own and notify me?

I want to link all of my facebook contacts so they show up in my gmail contacts? Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.

I was wondering if anyone was able to get their T-Mobile/Motorola Cliq to work on T-Mobile's basic data plan? They now have a specific Android data plan. I can't believe that they raised the data and unlimited text message plan to cost $45/mo. in total for Android phones! I'm using the $19.99 unlimited data/messaging plan now and would like to continue to use it. If anyone has successfully done this, please let me know how you did it.

The native app seemed a little buggy with my att.net accounts so I installed K9 after reading through the forums. I was unable to send email through the native app, and it seems I can't send email with K9 either. This is with att.net as well as another server which synced well (folders and all) on the native app.

I just got the phone yesterday, and realized I can send contacts via SMS! I was using the hero before and you could easily do it via vcard.For example, I want to send Mr Jones a contact number of a client, I can easily SMS him through contacts the client's contact numbers(emails and whatnots).However, this feature seems lacking on the Milestone. You can attach just about everything else except a person's contacts!Did I overlook something here? Or it just doesn't come with it?

My issue is that I am unable to send mail using an email account on my web domain - I get a generic message that states something similar to the email is unable to be sent. I was previously able to email on my old Blackberry using the same account, so I would think it'd be possible on the Droid X. I have tried all ports I saw suggested in the forums on my web host's site but none of the three I tried work for me. I am able to receive mail without any problems and my web host confirmed the below settings should be correct. I know for certain that the user name requires the full email address, rather than just the user name portion. Please see below and let me know what I need to change to get this working. I'm sure this can be done but I'm not finding it. Coming from BB World, I would like to be able to get audible notifications of Facebook wall postings, etc. I know the only way to get this is by an email which I'm fine with. But is there any way to get a "sms" type of notification for just that email? I set the email up as a contact and I see where you can add a ringtone but I really don't want a ringtone, just a small "sms" tone, if you will.

I know that for example the Droid X has motoblur, and the bootloader hasn't been figured out yet, so you can't use custom roms. However, can root access allow someone to remove motoblur, or is that impossibe still?
