View 49 RepliesIs anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.

For those of you coming from iPhones/iPods and have massive clean & organized music with iTunes, there is indeed a way to sync your music for free to your android phone. If you like it, support the project, the software I'm about to talk about is free.
iTunes Agent - Windows based software that reads iTunes, keeps organization and brings the files to your Android Phone.
iTuneMyWalkman - Mac users that are smart enough to know that there are other Mp3 players other than iPods, install this software instead of iTunes Agent.
1.) Download iTunes Agent,
2.) ---> Once Installed, the software will run in the system tray.
3.) Plug in your Android (EVO 4G in this guide.) and mount it as a hard drive. The software is going to write files to your SD Card.
4.) ---> Create a folder on your SD Card titled Music. I will explain why below.
I read somewhere that the native player can "eat" what iTunes produces, which allegedly is some form of XML.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've got a few iTunes purchased films that are all locked up in iDRM. Is there any way I can play them on Android?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking to sync up all of my devices (go android for phone and tablet, or apple for phone and tablet).
The thing I like most about the apple stuff is the Itunes movie/book store.
Basically I can buy movies and put them on my tablet/pc/iphone (with the future cloud streaming) from the Itunes store...Granted the stupid Ipad doesnt have a way to do TV out so I heard.
I want to stick with Android since I like the OS and I like the open nature of the software. However, there is no one place that I can go to get all my Media like the Itunes store. This is especially true for Movies/TV shows. It would be nice to have all of my movies on either a cloud or on my tablet so that when I travel, I can watch them or link them to a TV.
I know right now I can rip my DVDs to MP4 format, but I like just downloading a movie when I want to. I dont want to have to go to 5 different places to find what I wanted to see.
Basically does anyone know if Google is planning on making some sort of integrated market that has TVshows/Movies/Movie Rentals/Ebooks?
So I had a few ring tones that were set exactly how I wanted them for timing etc for my iphone. Well I have Mabilo ring tones installed and it works well. (After finding out about the .no media thing so they don't show up in my music player.) So what I did was convert my M4R to MP3. Then I went into Mabilo and downloaded the ring tones they had for the songs that I wanted. I then copied the file name and overwrote the name for my version of the mp3 and then copied it into the mabilo folder. And voila, my ring tones are there. No need to edit and crop all over again etc on the phone. Hope this is useful for someone out there. And with my luck someone will say oh just use "X" app and it is much better. But being the android nub I am and wanting to contribute to this forum this is my first shot.
View 3 Replies View Relatedyou'll be able to set sync your G1 with an iTunes playlist (you're actually syncing the MicroSD card with iTunes, but it works the same). After you install the program, connect the G1. The "Recognize by folder type" field is important. It's basically how the program distinguishes your G1 from any other device you connect to your computer - I added a Notepad file called ANDROID to the root of the MicroSD card, seems like it can be anything that simple. In the "Music Folder" field, I pointed it to the Music folder at the root of the MicroSD card on the G1.
In the "Associate with playlist" I left it as "use device name." Now, when you go to iTunes, under "My Devices" there should be a playlist icon that says "G1". Add whatever files you want (make sure there isn't any DRM) and then right click on the iTunesAgent icon in your system tray and click "Synchronize devices."
Whats the best way to get music from my itunes library to the droid? Unfortunately the new motorola software doesn't support mac, and although I run both windows and osx on my laptop, I'd rather do it natively.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwindows based utility to clean up my music? I have about 15,000 files, mostly tagged, some DRM'd via itunes. But I have shit all over the place in dozens of locations. I want some that will scan everything, organize it the best it can, remove the duplicates, and trash the DRM'd garbage. Then I can worry about what I want to copy over the my EVO... Sorry I know this is somewhat off topic, but it's part of my migration plan

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to sync back information about how many times you listened to a song, to itunes on my computer. Im huge on the smart playlists, especially having my top 50 most listened to. It bothers me if I listen to a song a ton, and it doesn't climb up in the rankings.
I saw on some site that maybe using TuneWiki (which is what I already use), then linking to last.fm might enable to do this. But how? I saw something about a scrobbler that would help, but I don't get what I would do. Put a scrobbler app on the comp as last.fm is offering, or find a scrobbler app for my phone in order to sync that with itunes?
If you have an HTPC (home theater pc) you can use "Orb". The Orb live app doesn't work on the Evo yet, but I can watch all my shows using the Orb mobile website and set the stream to flash. Seems to cut out if the signal is switching between 3g and 4g (like on the road). Also, if you use your phone to initiate a torrent on your HTPC, you can't watch it until you log into your HTPC with "logmein" or something similar and click *refresh* on the orb server app. Also, doesn't stream WMC (windows media center) recordings in flash format (any know how to fix?).
For pictures and music, "Pogoplug" is what I use. It's a user friendly NAS (network attached storage) with a web interface. Just buy the adapter and use an old usb hard drive and you have an NAS that you can use from any internet capable device. Pogoplug android app is great! Warning: Do not use pogoplug for movies! It takes 6 hours to convert a 2 hour movie into a stream-ready-movie. That means once your torrent is downloaded, you can't watch it till blueray is obsolete.
Anyone try other solutions? Homepipe? iTunes?
For some reason after I wait the hour or so to sync my music to my phone with DoubleTwist I cannot play some of the music types. I will get an error in the media player that says "Media type not supported" How do I fix this error?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo Media is just a glorified iTunes store for video? I thought it was going to be a better media player. My fault for not looking into it i guess.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for ways to Sync my music library in Droid with my iTunes, but with no 100% success.
I've used doubleTwist but it seems to stuck most of the time and it's really slow. I've also tried iTunes Agent but it seems to skip some items, and it doesn't copy sync album art!.
So since I'm a programmer, I wrote a simple app that will do what I need. It's written in C# so it will only work in Windows.
What it does is mirror copying your local music library into your Android device. Actually, it will work with any device, but it was written for Android, so I'll leave it as it is
Requirements:
- Windows Vista / 7 (Sorry xp guys!)
- Microsoft .NET 3.0 Installed (Most likely you have it).
Screenshots:
Instructions:
- Download and extract the application
- Place AndroidSync.exe in your Android storage folder (sd card).
- Run whenever lib is needed to be synced.
Notice: It might have some bugs, as I wrote it in just one hour. Please tell me about anything weird you encounter.

Has anyone purchased the premium version of Motorola Media link? If so, will it convert the Itunes mp4 videos over to a format viewable on my droid 1?
View 1 Replies View RelatedTalk crap if you want but I am tired of going to different sites or apps to get all of my media content. Is there an itunes like app where I can download podcasts, movies, music, tv shows, etc from ONE CENTRALIZED PLACE. I know about doubletwist and the others but in my opinion this is one thing that will help shoot android past apple. Say what you will but the fact is that most people who have an android phone don't know how to use it, and want a simple go to place that they can get their media from. As much as I love my phone, I have come to realize that 99% of the people that I know or have met with an android phone only bought it for the trend factor. From my point of view I think that this specific group is willing to spend money and voraciously consume media. The easier things like this are made, the easier it will be for android to thrive.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEven registering the broadcast receiver at the highest priority still fails to receive the Bluetooth media button events on the HTC Hero phone. The Bluetooth media button registration code works fine on the other Android phones that I have tested. Apparently this isn't the first time HTC has done something like this, as I also found a report of a similar problem on one of the HTC Microsoft Mobile Devices reported here
It seems extremely short sighted of HTC to code their media player so that it grabs the Bluetooth AVRCP media button events in such a way that other applications are unable to work with the Bluetooth head phone buttons and Bluetooth in car stereo systems.................
I use Windows Media Player to manage all my mp3s and playlists. I want my Samsung Galaxy S to be synchronized with my PC. I can connect my Galaxy S using "Media Player" mode and use the built-in sync with WMP, but there are issues:
1) Some mp3s get "corrupted" - how do I force WMP to "re-sync" them without losing my playlist association (if I manually add it as a file to sync, it is no longer associated with the playlist)
2) If I delete an mp3 from the device, WMP doesn't realize and won't re-sync the file again... is there a way to re-sync?
3) Sometimes WMP will re-sync playlists and each song shows up 3-4+ times when I load up a playlist on my device. I then have to wipe the Music and Playlist folder and re-sync from scratch any way around this?
4) Where are android playlists stored? The Playlists folder on the sd card can be wiped, but the playlists still show up in the music player?
5) If I make a change to a playlist on my PC, WMP will freeze and start skipping random files the playlists get corrupt and I see problem #3 occur. Essentially, if I change a playlist, I have to wipe the Music and Playlist folder and re-sync from scratch.
I tried to use sailing sync-er but for some reason it didn't copy all of my songs it was weird it only copied over about 25% of my songs.
