View 3 Replies View RelatedI signed in to a website which needs a pass word, and had Droid remember the password. The user name was missing one letter. I got a password error, and I fixed the error and went to the site. However it now only remembers it the wrong way, and I have to change and retype everything every time. I even trash canned the bookmark and tried to re save it, but the wrong name game up again. How do I get the wrong user name out of the memory and the correct one in?

View 12 Replies View RelatedYesterday i added a security pattern where you have to fill in the pattern when the phone like starts. I took the wrong pattern and have to login with google stuff now. I did login and all stuff, but i get error saying wrong password or username. I checked on google.com that it was correct and it is. Now i do not have Internet checked on before it went to locking so i dunno if its the reason that i do not have the internet connection on it.

View 1 Replies View Relatedrecommend an email client that requires you to put in your email account password each time you connect?I want to use it specifically for my banking and nothing else/no other email accounts.I don't really want the app to save my password, because I don't routinely password-protect my phone (too much hassle for too little benefit), and I want to know that my bank details/emails are safe if I ever lost my phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using a desire, which is fantastic but I've got one issue. Using the default music player - just called 'Music' when I play an album the tracks seem to play in a random order. The player seems to be reading tags properly , correct track names and artwork etc and if I look at a tracks properties in the player software I can see that it is reading track number info. I don't know if there is a setting I have got wrong but it would be great to get songs playing in right order. Other than this the Desire is great.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have tried the default music player that is installed with the Droid-X. I've also bought the bTunes player and installed the MixZing player (free version). What is wrong that, by default, all list the tracks of an album in alphabetical order? At least bTunes will let you optionally sort by original track order (although the way given by bTunes is counter-intuitive and you have to start playing a track before you can sort).
By default, all albums should display in original track order. I suppose that for those who have difficulty reading, perhaps an option to list tracks in alphabetical order might be in order for ADA compliance or something. Otherwise, when I browse one of my albums, I want to see it in the order that the original artist intended.
I have a video converter that converts some WMV/MOV/MPG files to H264 video formats. And, I am transferring these H264 videos to Motorola Droid device. These transferred videos are playing fine on device. However, when I check the video properties, it is has "Bitrate" as 0 KBPS. Whereas for the same video, the bitrate is displayed properly on PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have up til 2 weeks had no problems sending email via AOL on my incredible. Now all a sudden everytiem i go to send email it tells me the settings are wrong. I have
1. Let it check the settings and it goes through fine.
2. Delete the POP/IMAP account off the Inc and added it back
Still can't get it to email anymore...
I am trying to set up my email account with Virgin Media on my Desire but I can`t get the settings right, it`s a pop account, I can receive mail but I can`t send it. I`m with Three mobile but my phones unlocked, When I connect via wifi to my home it sends ok, but this seems a bit pointless when I`m away from home.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI ordered a droid and should be here Tuesday. Quick question. I am coming from a BB Storm where my Road Runner (internet provider) email account worked flawlessly on the Storm. Back in the day when i had a Treo there was big work around you had to use in order to get email accounts like this to work on it.Is this the case with a Droid as well, or is it as simple as the BB storm where i just enter in my email and password in setup and it is done? The sales rep on the phone told me i would be able to get my RR emails on the droid but we all know how sales reps can be.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI am trying to send an email to a specific address by using my own email. So far, I know that I can use android.content.Intent.ACTION_SEND to send an email. For instance:
final Intent emailIntent = new Intent(android.content.Intent.ACTION_SEND);
emailIntent.setType("plain/text"); emailIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_EMAIL, new String[]{"blabla@gmail.com"});
emailIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_SUBJECT, "Log-in Sucessful");
emailIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_TEXT, "Hi");
Activity context = null; context.startActivity(Intent.createChooser(emailIntent, "Send mail..."));
However, I do not know whether ACTION_SEND can accept username and password as well. This username and password basically will be used to authenticate the email sender. It's just like when you need to log-in into your gmail account before you can compose and send an email to someone.
I am developing an application which requires to store and retrieve email id and password because when the user login into the application he should be directly logged in into the application.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had a samsung galaxy s3 for about a week now, and everything has been working on it fine until today. Suddenly one of my email accounts decided that it had the wrong password (a University email address); I tried deleting the address and re-adding but now it won't let me add it as it says that the address or password is incorrect.
As i know the password is right and really need this email address to work!
When I'm trying to set up the email on my phone, it allways says invalid user name or password. I know for sure that I typed it right , a million times. So what is going on with my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently wasted all of my time on my tablet. I have stop using my tablet since new years eve due to my forgotten google account password. I have to hard resetting it but my Tablet does not have volume buttons on the outside only on the touch screen.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?
ANY email address I put into the email client preinstalled on the phone ALWAYS says username/password incorrect if the password has non-alphanumeric characters in the password!!! I have THREE email accounts that REQUIRE non-alphanumeric characters in the password and ALL OF THEM experience the username/password incorrect error message!!!!! ALL email accounts WITHOUT non-alphanumeric characters in the password work!!!!! Googling the problem brought up NOTHING!!!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm dialing in my Droid 2, which is replacing my previous Blackberry Tour. I am importing all my audio files for ringtones, notifications, and alarms.
I have done the following:
Connected my phone to my computer
Mounted my SD card
Created a Media folder on the card
Created an Audio sub-folder within Media
Created Ringtones, Notifications, Alarms, and MP3s folders within Audio
My custom ringtones show up when I'm selecting them in Settings, and RingDroid also shows all of my files (currently placed in Ringtones and Notifications). However, if I go to my GMail app and settings, when I go to select a custom notification ringtone, only the ones that shipped with the Droid 2 show up. I also checked Settings, and no custom notification sounds come up.
There are probably a few of you who have come from a BB and I was wondering how you got your stuff over to the Desire i.e. Saved messages (sms, email), media, etc. This will be my first Droid so please be gentle.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Droid, I was wondering I have moved music to the droid ( from Verizon ) from my computer, and just put them under the memory card, the songs are saved in the area of music, I can listen to the songs, just don't know how to make a specific song or ringtone as a text message ringer or email.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently have different email & sms notifications sounds but I'd like better one's, preferably something that speaks 'email received', 'text message received', you get the idea? I've had a look on Zedge but the tones there tend to be more suitable for the younger generation. I'd like something that won't embarrass me when it plays.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.
Does anybody know how to set a ringtone for a specific email address?
