I get vshare.tv popup saying that vshare plugin is not compatible with my browser and only i.e. or firefox works and reads select one to install. So, I click on one to download but nothing happens. How to bypass this?

I was interested in finding a good program with which to sync play lists, music, pictures, movies, etc. As it turns out, Media GO works really well. I have been using it as my default music player for some time now because of the "Sense Me" play list option. I'm still pretty new here and I hadn't seen anything posted regarding this program and it's INC compatibility.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using doubleTwist to sync & manage my music on my HTC EVO 4G (and Palm Pre) and I've had just about enough of its slow iTunes syncing, slow device syncing and overall clunkiness (yes, I'm a previous user of the iPod/iTunes and Zune/Zune Software systems). Though I love the doubleTwist player for Android I'm done with doubleTwist. And no I'm not interested in Salling Media Sync (especially since its not free).
If I manage things myself by manually syncing/copying music to my Android (i.e., artist/album/ folder structure under /sdcard/music/):
[1] Where do I place the playlists (in .m3u format)?: /sdcard/music/playlists OR /sdcard/music/playlist1.m3u, playlist2.m3u, etc.
[2] what Android players are compatible with this format/structure (i.e., that'll pick up the playlists just fine)?

These apps can download flv, mp3, mp4, etcThe apps in this list has their own integrated browser to be able to capture media files while streaming.
Here is the list:
-Media Grabber - Good but has little features.
-AVD Download Video Downloader - Great but can't capture every files.
-Flash Browser - It's in public beta, so it won't work for all devices, mine included.
-Vget - It can only download flash videos and not stream.
Are there any other similar apps that you know? Plugins? Other methods to download streaming files?
I'm a subscriber to a show which I listen to on the PC while I work. I'd like to be able to listen to it on my new Droid X.There are three links on the site. The first one streams to windows media player. The second link streams to real audio. The third link downloads a podcast in mp3 format. So far I haven't figured out how to get any of them to work.The windows media link brings up a video player that says the file can not be displayed or played.The RA link downloads an .ra file. Selecting the file brings up the stock music player, which says it can't play the file. (I do have the RA beta installed but it doesn't appear to be associated with .ra files and I don't know how to fix that. Are there mime types in android?)The mp3 link gives the error "Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone." Now that's just wrong. It's an MP3 file. The stock player should be able to play it.I'm not greedy -- I'd be happy if any one of these three possibilities worked.

This made me think i was missing some sort of codec so i started converting mp4s on my computer and found that only converting to [H.264.MP4] works for my samsung.
So im wondering if theres some sort of codec i need to install on my phone like flash/divx/ k-lite codec pack to be able to watch youtube videos?
Ever since 2.2, my browser (I use Dolphin HD) moves very slow. Slow load times, and after hitting the Menu button it takes a few seconds for the menu to pop up. Am I the only experiencing this?
Also after the update, the stock media player (I use the HTC one) has developed a few problems. The biggest problem is that it no longer remembers where I pause my music. This problem only develops after being paused for a few minutes. After that, when I press play it restarts the song it was paused on. The other problem, which I've seen reported a few times, is that the player can lag easily and skips sometimes. I've noticed that when I play music and try to look through my music at the same time, that will also lag the music. Is there either a fix, or another music player that will remember where in the song it was paused and not be so laggy? I also need it to be able to Scrobble with my Last.fm account.
The laggy browser, the laggy music player and a general legginess seems to me like the phone is being over-taxed while doing nothing so when it's told to do anything else it lags. This was never a problem in 2.1. Also, after the 2.2 update I did a factory reset to make sure there was no lingering problems, and I have experienced all of these issues while using and while not using a task killer.
I'm trying to develop plugin for eclipse that should draw my custom view inflated from XML. Everything works fine until eclipse tries to instantiate any class from android.jar library. It fails with Runtime exception without any other helpful information (stub!).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a laptop with Windows 7 Home Prem x64. I have installed Java JDK1.6.0_18 and Eclipse Gallileo. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Android SDK with several Platforms loaded and a AVD defined. I can install the Android Eclipse plugin from the remote site stated in the instructions. The plugin installation performs without any errors and I can verify that the plugins are indeed installed. My problem begins when I go to Windows -> Preferences, there is no Android section to configure. And when I go to File -> New -> Project, there is no Android Project to choose. I have uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled at least 10 times, trying different things and still no luck. I originally had the 64 bit version of the JDK installed, but removed it and installed the 32 bit version. Is it because I am using Windows 7?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure I'm not the first one to say this, but for goodness sakes, we need a very good Android UI builder plugin for Eclipse or whatever other java tools developers are using. A nice toolbox docked on the side where I can drag and drop controls to the screen/form and then allow me to set the properties in the prop inspector and then create events, etc. I've got ideas for some business applications and I HATE having to deal with main.xml. Droid Draw is okay, but it is a far cry from having a good UI plugin.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and installed Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) for Java Developers along with the Android SDK. When I add the following URL into the "work With" field under Eclipse's Install New Software menu:

No plugins appear between the "Work With" and "Options" sections. I understand I'm supposed to be able to select "Developer Tools". I get nothing. I've tried linking to http vice https. Also, downloading the zip from the android dev site itself yields the same result. When I run "Check for Updates", it comes back saying nothing to update. I also ran "Test Connection" for the above URL and it comes back positive.

I would like to start developing for Android platform with NetBeans IDE.I am searching around the web for about a week now looking for working android plugin or a tutorial how to setup netbeans IDE for android development and so far nothing usable turns up.There is a NBAndroid plugin that doesn't work with recent netbeans.I also found very few tutorials describing how to set it up, but none of them produce anything that resembles a usable setup.Can someone please write-up a much needed working tutorial or port the eclipse plugin to netbeans?Maybe Google should be the one raising this issue, not me?We really don't want to switch to Eclipse as this creates a large ripple effect in our development environment that we can't afford.

I have Eclipse 4.3 Kepler, running on Windows 7. I have tried installing it - Install New Software - Add... as instructed on the android page and other guides. I've seen the problem a few times online but I haven't found any solution. I get this error when I try to add the repository:

I tried installing the Google plugin first but got the same error..Other things I've tried:
-Changing the URL from https to http
-Running Eclipse as administrator
-Installing it through a zip archive (I get an error that one of the files wasn't there)

I'm trying to install the components for developing Android apps on my Mac with Leopard osx 10.5.8. Since i use an outdated version of Eclipse "Ganymede" i have decided to upgrade to 32bit Indigo, i have downloaded the SDK and installed the recomended components with Android manager as explained, this in the Applications directory (where Eclipse is also installed), then i have downloaded the ADT plugin for eclipse successfully, Eclipse asked me to restart and so i did, but when after the restart, i click on Eclipse > Preferences..... i dont see the Android directory, when i create a new project, even under 'Other' there is no Android option, though if i display the installed plugin i see the Android ADT plugin listed I dont think it is a SDK issue, i think the ADT plug in its the cause of the malfunction, but i would not know where to check this since it is correclty installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my htc hero (t-mobile) last week, very please with it.i'm having a problem installing tomtom 6 that i've used previously on my nokia n73, cos it's on mini sd, i've copied it to a micro sd and inserted it in the hero, no installation option it's just on the root dir of the micro sd, tried to run the ttn.cab,but no option to run it ,all i get is copy,paste, move i bought the tomtom 6 on a mini sd 3 years ago, used it on nokia no problem, and on the box it says it's compatible with many PDAs and mobile phones. i don't want to fork out another, when i goggled it ,i found the same product on a micro sd. exactly the same box that i bought from tomtom.
