View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a G1 and I am using a WiFi connection. when I go to Youtube ap and click Menu/my account/my videos , I can see all the videos uploaded via computer, but not the G1 video i waited 10 minutes to upload. they seem to upload into nowhere.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst post, btw. Didn't see a thread about this, so here goes. I found the following sources for video:
Flickr Video (H.264 MP4): http://m.flickr.com/#/explore/video/
ESPN Video: m.espn.go.com
MSN Video: video.mobile.msn.com
Other video sources? Or point me to a thread?
Why youtube looks terrible on the G1. To be honest, I can't even use it at all. Is there a way to watch it in "high quality" like on real youtube. I absolutely hate to say it, but it looks a lot better on the iphone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOn Ubnuntu it is possible to grab the raw flv file from /tmp after the browser has fully cached it. I want to take this file and drop it onto the phone (HTC Desire in my case) to watch offline. But the video format is not supported. Using ffmpeg I tried to convert it to different supported types (wmv, mp4), but it still does not play. Is there any prescribed way of doing this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedGreetings from a former BB user and a Droid user all of one week Until updating my OS to 2.2 I've been unable to view Youtube videos via the web or via the native app. Again, started immediately after the update. known or isolated issue? Any suggestions on a fix?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a fast internet broadband connection at home.
My G1 internet browsing is ok, fast enough when using Wifi - could be faster but limited 3G in my area.
Anyway when i use the YouTube app it is terrible. Video page opens but then sticks and a box comes up with (Cannot play video - Sorry, this video cannot be played) whilst audio continues. On box it has a button that says OK, once pressed takes you back to the Youtube app?
I read that the youtube app is 'broke' and tried going to youtube by browser which also wouldn't play the video..
This made me think i was missing some sort of codec so i started converting mp4s on my computer and found that only converting to [H.264.MP4] works for my samsung.
So im wondering if theres some sort of codec i need to install on my phone like flash/divx/ k-lite codec pack to be able to watch youtube videos?
When i open Youtube app. and try to play video it shows black on full screen
i know it has worked before the resent software update
I just read an article about the improved youtube mobile site at m.youtube.com. I have used the youtube app since the ota that was sent out to fix it and downloaded an apk that allowed it to always default to HQ rather than having to change it each time. But I just tried out the mobile site and it is blazingly fast compared to the app. The only thing that would make me not use this over the app is that I didn't see a way to watch the videos in HQ. Am I missing something? Does anyone else have a preference for the mobile site over the app or vice versa?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm at home, my WiFi speed is typically almost 3m DOWN and 700k UP. (Lame compared to my speeds at work) While my 3G is typically about HALF of those speeds. But here's where my confusion sets in. When I watch a YouTube video with the stock YouTube app, videos buffer faster and/or play MUCH better when using 3G. I'm wondering if the 3G connection is utilizing some kind of compression that allows this?

Can I have to delete all records on this db?
I have a few ringtones I dowloaded through a ringtone app that I've since deleted. I no longer use these ringtones, and would like to delete them from the phone. is there anyway to do so? I can't seem to find them in a file mode. I can get to them through choosing a ringtone, but can't delete them, and only 2 of them showed up in the music category. is there anyway to find them in the phone and make them go away??
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to Android and new to forum. I came from Blackberry and liked to keep things cleaned up...unused apps/files etc.
Now with my Motorola I1, I like to do the same.
My question is, I came across a file on my SD card named .spmo file...
Not sure what it is or for, and, can I delete it?
I recently downloaded some mp3 ringtones from myxer.com a few of them werent what i thought they were, so i want to delete them but i cant figure out how! i tried using both astro and a player to get into my system and sd folders but i cant find these goddamn files anywhere.
under system/media/ringtones it only shows the ringtones that came with the phone.
I have an LG ally and I connect my bluetooth. It's connecting to media audio and I can hear music videos, you tube and my visual VM but not the people I call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have dl'ed the same ringtone twice from myxer.com, but I can't delete one of them.I have tried going to [[Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>DRM Protected Content Storage Then press Clear Data]] but I don't see [DRM Protected Content Storage].I have also used Astro, but I didn't find anything in any of the files. Is there another way to delete them?If not, I guess I will just Factory Data Reset it and go from there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI went into the synch area of Windows Media Player and marked a bunch of my music file not to synch any more. So I figured on the next synch of my Droid X (Android 2.1) the corresponding files that were already on the phone would disappear. But they didn't. Shouldn't they? Do I have to go through and manually delete them one by one from the phone?I'm not sure Windows Media Player's approach to setting up a synch list makes sense at all. Is DoubleTwist or WinAmp less confusing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night I donated and am just waiting for the paid version now, but I have a couple of questions:
1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?
When I delete emails for gmail on my phone, will they delete online also?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.

I found this site that says when you mount the phone, is should show up on the list of devices within WMP, mine isn't for some reason

YouTube.apk
Or, attached at the bottom of the post!
Installation Instructions
Either download it straight from your Droid browser, and click on it when it's done. Or, download it on your computer, put it on your sd card, use a file manager like ASTRO to find it, click on it, and install it.
You *may* get a warning about how a system app is being updated. That's cool, because it is
I know I can watch videos on the browser but the quality sucks. Is there a hack to fix it?
