Nov 14, 2010My phone is stuck in fastboot mode with the blue screen after i tried to root it and install velocity. Can i have some advice on how to fix it?

Oct 17, 2010My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).

Nov 7, 2010My Problem: Was using the HTC Desire bought in India. I rooted with Unrevoked 3.21, S-OFF with Alpharev.
I was thinking of taking my phone to HTC to show an LED burnin problem, and tried to unroot by flashing the RUU for Asia_India: RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_India_1.21.720.4_Radio_32.36.00 .28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127705_signed. I thought that was the correct RUU.
I booted my phone in Fastboot, applied the RUU, and it rebooted my phone into RUU. Then it flashed an error message saying the RUU version was incorrect. Being the idiot that I am, I rebooted the phone..And got stuck!
The phone does not boot. On pressing Vol- and Power button, it vibrates, and then nothing. Screen is blank. It wont boot into Fastboot, Recovery or the ROM. If I connect it to USB and do the Vol- and Poweron, it detects my device as an Android 1.0 device.
I have tried the following:
1. Went to Android SDK, tried flashing Clockworkmod recovery image with the command:

my one x is stuck in the boot logo " htc quietly brilliant" screen and not responding to go to the OS 4.0.4
when i connect it i hear the sound of the usb connect but cant see it on "my computer"
i tryed to do fastboot but fail*
i tryed to do recovery reset mode and and it transfer me to the clockworkMod Recovery but in the "install zip from sdcard" there is no files it
looks like the phone as been format and there is nothing on him
how can i install a new OS on my phone again ?
p.s - when the phone is connected to the reset mode its say "fail to open usb master mode"
LG Ally :: Tried To Flash ROM And Now Stuck On Android Screen
Sep 30, 2010I tried to load velocity using ROM manager and it would boot, but it got force quit messages repeatedly before I could do anything else so I tried holding volume down, home, and send together and it flashed a screen quickly with the little android guy and a progress bar and then after that it won't go past the android logo. I tried using the LG-utility to flash it but it gives me errors and it wont flash it. What can I do besides run the thing over and get a new phone from insurance?

Nov 28, 2010yesterday I accidentally changed the settings on my ally and I set it so I could see the status of my sent messages. I took it off earlier today because it wasn't what I wanted. Now after 3 messages I have a grey box on my screen that says "Message received by (person's number)" and it doesn't go away unless I turn my phone off and back on again. Then after a few texts, it pops up again and won't go away.

Nov 23, 2010I figured out how to full flash the LG Ally 740 to cricket but 3 out of every 5 phones I flash do not save the NV settings. When I go to manual programming (##program740 send) then select DATA. The MIP & DUN MIP settings always revert back to the default 0000000000@vzw3g.com settings. I've changed them in LGNPST,CDMA Workshop & QPST but still reverts back to VZW. It's rooted and tried several different ROM's to fix the problem. Could it be the kernel? If anyone can help, please let me know.

Oct 6, 2010Before applying the Turbo4 ROM, I ran Linpack to get a base number so I can compare it with the number I get after I apply Turbo4. I got a 4.188. The phone is rooted with many of the stock apps removed running the Zeam Launcher, but no other custom ROMS.
Is that a pretty good number to start with? It was higher than I was expecting because most linpack scores i've read about are in the 3's.

Nov 22, 2010I installed the GNM 4 Turbo, with the overclock kernal on my Ally. Installed it through the recovery menu, just like I did to install Velocity. But, I cannot use it on my phone, no matter what I try. I end up with a kernal panic error instantly, or the desktop will load up, freeze, then restart, everytime. Sometimes I have to remove the battery to unfreeze it. My phone will only work at the stock processor speeds, but I want to overclock it. I followed instructions to the T, I have ROM Manager, and I know how to adjust the speed. But it will just not work on my phone. I see people going over 700 mhz, but I can't get above 600 without freezes and crashes. What can I do to fix this? I know the GNM is authentic, because I got it from the same page where I got the download for Velocity. I've cleared out the caches, restarted, everything.

Aug 17, 2010phone keeps rebooting, possible fix is disabling Verizon Backup Assistant. if i go into running processes and stop this app it appears the rebooting stops, but if the phone is reset it does not stay disabled i have to go back in and stop it again. can this be done? i dont like to use app killers but will it work?

I extracted the phone.apk out of the /system/app directory and found that the gradient images are already there. so my question is, why is the phone not using these images and how do i change it so it does. My first thought was a meta morph theme that only changed the phone app but seeing as the images are already there i guess there's no point.
