Oct 8, 2010I was surfing for this apps and I found twitter feed where Firefox and Adobe AIR review was their! I am very happy with Firefox on my Computer and would love to see it on Android Phone. Sep 19, 2010This is for those of you that were using the one build of the Swype Beta that actually worked for the Ally (up until last week, when it expired).There is a new beta floating around (version 2.4.44.10912.t100), however, when installed on the Ally, it instantly locks you out with a message that this version wasn't made for your phone.I read somewhere that in the past, you could fix this by modifying the Swype apk to contain an older "license.dat" file (such as the one from the open beta). With this new version however, Swype will FC instantly if it was installed from a resigned apk.Out of curiosity, I extracted the files from within "classes.dex" and started poking around. Jul 19, 2010Would this be a ROM issue? Maybe an issue with Launcher Pro Beta? When I hit my home screen button, it takes a few seconds for my shortcuts and widgets to load. I really like LPB but am not liking how long it's taking to load. I set it as my only launcher in my ROM that I made so I can't go into another launcher and see if it's slow, does anyone think that could be the culprit?

In my app, I have various types of data like Person, Company, City, etc; The requirement is to dynamically load the layout, find views by tags (property names like Person.name, Person.address) and then fill in data. For example, if user has selected an object of type Company, we want to load a company.xml layout, inflate it and then associate various properties (company name, company slogan, city, address, revenue) to tagged views. One possibility I see here is - each view in the layout will be associated with property-name as tag and then appropriate data will be loaded in appropriate views.
What should be the best design you would recommend?

Apr 22, 2012Some websites require to use Firefox and install JAVA or plugins to play movies. But when I use Chrome to open these webs and click on the guided link to download JAVA, it told me that there is no suitable version yet.
When I use Firefox to open these webs, it said there are no plugins, and didn't tell me what plugins.But I can open these movies on webs using android 3.1 or lower.
So, is it because ICS 4.0.3 hasn't supported to open webs which require JAVA or there are other ways to open these movies?

Nov 23, 2010I figured out how to full flash the LG Ally 740 to cricket but 3 out of every 5 phones I flash do not save the NV settings. When I go to manual programming (##program740 send) then select DATA. The MIP & DUN MIP settings always revert back to the default 0000000000@vzw3g.com settings. I've changed them in LGNPST,CDMA Workshop & QPST but still reverts back to VZW. It's rooted and tried several different ROM's to fix the problem. Could it be the kernel? If anyone can help, please let me know.

Oct 6, 2010Before applying the Turbo4 ROM, I ran Linpack to get a base number so I can compare it with the number I get after I apply Turbo4. I got a 4.188. The phone is rooted with many of the stock apps removed running the Zeam Launcher, but no other custom ROMS.
Is that a pretty good number to start with? It was higher than I was expecting because most linpack scores i've read about are in the 3's.
