I have Samsung Galaxy ACE which is rooted. Till y'day I was using CM9 Beta 8 ICS 4.0.4 and it was working well.
I installed CM10 JB for Galaxy Ace alpha1 from "hxxp://maclaw.pl/?page_id=180#comment-3642"
Now the problem is, JB doesn't have File Manager installed and I need to install TB to revert my backups.
Due to some unknown reason I am not able to access internet on my device either through GPRS or 3G connection.
I am desperately looking for a way to access my SDCARD wherein I have all my apk's which I can install however, without File Manager I am not sure how to install an apk.
I did some google search and came across topics about installing apk using Android SDK etc.. however I would not want to work on SDK as I feel its bit tedious job for me.
I also tried Android Injector however that didnt work even if I have enabled USB debugging Mode for adb + apps.
Now, I am hoping that, I can use the Terminal Emulator which is preinstalledo n my phone to install apk present on my sdcard.
However, I am not sure how to do that, what are the steps to install apk present on my sdcard from Terminal Emulator available on my phone.
Here are some of the screen captures [URL] ......
Do anybody know how can I get the source code of Google maps for android sdk1.5, if the version of Google maps for android sdk 1.5 is same with the version of Google maps for android sdk 1.0? Can I build the source code of Google map v1.0 with the source code of sdk 1.5 to a same imge?

View 24 Replies View RelatedThis is for my Sprint Samsung S3 phone.
An hour ago it wanted to update to 4.3. I hit the update button and it rolls successfully after 10 minutes. No errors.
Comes up with the login screen to enter my PIN code. I enter it, hit OK and get an invalid password. It's the same PIN I've been using for the past year.
Other symptoms:
- There seems to be a sync icon on the notifcation bar on top
- every few seconds I get an "I crashed, but a report has been genereted to my developers to fix the issue".
- I tried entering the password up to 45 times wrong and still, no option to enter in my google password instead
Of course, shut down all the way, popped out the battery, waited a few minutes, popped back in and still same issue.
I have a Star Note N9770 which had a smashed display - daughter knelt on it. The phone still appeared to work, though we couldn't see anything. I bought a "bricked" N9770 on eBay and used the display unit from that (it really was bricked - wouldn't turn on or charge) to replace the smashed unit.
We now have a display and everything appears to work and it charges. Except for the colours on the display - they are very pale/faint/washed out (hard to describe but the full range of colours doesn't appear in the display - just mostly greens and pinks and all a bit grainy). I've tried the brightness and contrast levels, factory reset, hard reset, etc, but it makes no difference.
I'm guessing that this display unit is slightly different from the original, even though all the connections were identical and tbh, it reminds me of a driver issue in a PC.
just purchased the new ViewSonic VSD241 and want to root it. It has the NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.7GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Any chance of a rom for our Sprint Hero? I'm sure it will be a while before an official version, but how about a cooked ROM?
I found an app called I'M in Android's trunk on git, but that doesn't look like the Google Talk app that comes installed on Android phones.
Does anyone know if that source code is even published?

I heard that I have to root the device, and then find a ROM for stock Jelly Bean to load onto the device?
Recently my phone's screen (galaxy s4) has broken. It is not shattered but it does not light up or respond to touch. It looks almost as if it is not on at all. I know it is on because the light in the upper corner that blinks for notifications works and the soft keys light up when the power/lock button and volume button are pushed. I can not see or save what I have on my phone through Kies because I can not unlock it. I was wondering if there was any other way to unlock a phone like through a website or program, or even display a phones screen onto another device, because I have picture on here that are very important to me that I would like to save before I ship my phone in for it's replacement and lose everything. I did not have an SD card and I do not know if everything saved to my clouds or google docs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is a known issue on Android 4.2.2 with excessive battery drain with Google Services when Wi-Fi & mobile network location is enabled. Does Android 4.3 resolves this? I can't believe that Google will not use Standalone GPS services if Wi-Fi & mobile network location is disabled. So, the only way to use Maps is to put the phone in excessive battery drain mode.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's xyz@myisp.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.
To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my xyz@myisp.com google account.
I just purchased my first ever cell phone ( Google LG Nexus 4 16gb ) . I have never used one before , just never had the need for one . How to use Android Jelly Bean 4.3 and also how to use this phone .

I'm able to surf the internet using browser but, couldn't login into gtalk app, youtube app, googleplay app, can't signin or sync the device with google and, I tried factory reset couple of time changed modem settings, reset modem settings no chance whatsoever and also login with another gmail account which was created for this purpose. Also when I login into play.google.com browser it shows all the apps that or wiped after factory reset as "INSTALLED". What do I do? Also how can I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? I followed your tutorial and gained root access to my tab.
Also if I factory reset again will the root feature enable will be gone? Do I have to root again after one more factory reset if done? What about Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade? Can I root again using same method if I get it to upgrade? Can I change the [url]... settings showing apps as installed even though they were lost after factory reset? If I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and do another factory reset will it reset to new installed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or will it go back to earlier version of Android? What will happen to apps that came with tab by default? Will the apps that came with the tab be lost after upgrade?
