Can I use my old iphone ac-usb plugs for the S4? I have lots of them, the output is pretty close, 5V - 1A
I figured if/when I buy an extra cord all I'd need is the usb cable. If I'm not able to use them, what do I do with all these? I have like 5..does radioshack buy them or something? Maybe garage sale.

I do not have this problem before and my phone lose charge very soon and I do not know why .

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.3 installed on it. I bought it only a month ago, so it is brand new. Out of a sudden, today it randomly wouldn't charge when I plugged it in the charger (the one with the adaptor). I tried with other 2 USB cables, with the SSUB cable and with 2 adaptors and it wouldn't work with any of these (all of which work perfectly with my other devices). More specifically, when plugged in either my laptop or my PC, nothing at all will happen (even if it's turned off). So, the only time it works with these cables is when it's connected to my charger adaptors and the device is turned off. As a consequence, I cannot transfer any items to my SD card or charge it while it's on, which is ridiculous. the phone is brand new, rooted and I haven't installed anything "weird" apart from the usual Facebook, YouTube, Skype apps etc. I also tried a factory reset, but nothing changed. Furthermore, I tried it while having removed my SD card (in case there is a virus or something), without any changes again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've a couple of Android devices, and I'm looking for an application that will email me (once) when the battery is full, (or when the battery is almost dead).
I don't always stick around when it's charging, so having it just make a sound when it's full doesn't catch my attention. Being notified with an email before my device's battery dies, would catch it and recharge, before I have to do a long recharge session.
Email just works best for me. I've checked around, and it doesn't seem that an app like this is out there. Having a notification via prowl/growl could work too, but less so than email.
I have had my Note 2 since last spring, I noticed in September that when using my original charge cord (plugged to wall) it would only charge when held in certain angles and very slow, I couldn't use while charging as it would drain it. I tried using my boyfriends nexus charger and that seemed to work. It was still slow but at least I didn't have to be constantly moved to certain angles (still discharged if used while on charger though).
If I plug my phone in at night (let's say at 14% battery life) by morning, over 8 hrs later, it's only at 60 % and then drains completely in 4-5 hours, while I'm at work and not even using it, if I'm using it it goes down 2% a minute.
This is getting so frustrating, I have no clue what's wrong. I've done a factory reset and nothing changed. If I use a universal docking station my phone actually charges very quick, at a normal speed. I'm not sure if it's the battery, usb port, or charger!
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. It got me thinking, if we wanted to very, very quickly charge the Evo, why not use the iPad's 10 freakin' watt charger? (the review says it can switch between .5, 1, and 2.1 Amps output, at the usual 5v of course).Has anyone given this a shot? Can we indeed use the full 2.1 amps to charge our Evos like no other?

If I back it up using KIES will it be possible to install the older 4.1.2 Rom and then install the backup I previously made? I've just got my new Samsung S3 device (GT-I9300) and i rooted it successfully using one of yours wonderful guides.
my current android OS is ICS 4.04 and i would like to update it to jelly bean.
I've heard that the most "clean" ROM belongs to Google and called "Vanilla" - is it right?
if so, where i can find jelly bean with that ROM? i've found jelly bean with "vanilla root box" ROM and i guess that is not the same as Google.
Two problems:
(1)For some odd reason my Incredible will not charge when the USB adapter is attached to the charger that came with the phone anymore.
(2)As an alternative, I used an DC adapter that accepts a USB. Now, when plugged into my car, there are no problems. However when I attach the DC adapter to an AC/DC adapter that plugs into a normal wall socket, I cannot use the touch screen. Is this an issue w/ the kind of current entering the phone?
I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900 that currently has software 4.1.2. I've recently been trying to finally update to 4.3 and it seems my phone is stuck on an old update. It's 28.5MB and it'll show there's an update, I'll download it, it'll say it was successful. I'll then tell it to restart & install, what happens next is it looks like it just does a simply restart. It shuts off, shows the Samsung startup screen, and then I'm back to my homepage. Because of this, I can't update the phone any further. I tried going a Hard Reset (holding vol up, home, then power) and delete data/formating drive and that didn't fix it. I also tried going to the All Applications -> Google Services Framework -> Clear Cache -> Stop Service and what this does it brings up the same page for the 28.5MB download and it does the same thing it's always done.

how to get the Samsung keyboard to be the same on both phones. All settings are the same. the new phone's keyboard doesn't have the small punctuation symbols on the letter keys (like the old phone does). I know this may seem like a bit of a ridiculous thing to have an issue with, but I'm kind of... particular... with the way my phone looks and is set up. That, and I find it to be annoying to have to go to the Symbols section of the keyboard to use any form of punctuation.

Nothing's been the same. I actually like the previous formats for almost every app and widget better.The most annoying and debilitating has to be a random page that pops up that says "you need to periodically log in to your 'Samsung Account'"It displays my email on the top and provides a space to type in a password that I don't have at all. At first I thought it was legit,.I can't even find the bad app or route that this thing came from.
On an unrelated note, the email just became more of a mess and there's no option to check for the SPAM folder.
my samsung tablet doesn't have much memory for games and what not, but i recently tried to install some game that lookup 1.1gb of space, but it couldnt download due to insufficient storage, well it still downloaded as much as it could but i cannot delete what it downloaded, this isn't my tablet and it needs to be returned in 10 hours, I already 'Googled' my issue and tried to reboot/restart the device which didn't do anything, i went into Settings>Application Manager> and tried to delete said application, but it never appeared on the list, even when i did sort by size.I deleted the cache and tried everyting i could.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2. Is there any way of removing ongoing icons which permanently sit on the left side of the status bar? I ask because apps like 'Unlock with WiFi' warns you when disabling its permanent icon that it will hinder the process' activity. I tested it and yes, the app didn't detect the state of my WiFi well. Same goes for BBM's Connected icon.
Is there any way of making their visibility 0% or making the icons 0px, if not 1px, without disabling the icons entirely?
