I just rooted and over clocked. I have setcpu installed and set to under clock if the temperature reaches 40c. Is that ok? Can I safely push it to 45 or 50?
At what temp should I start to get nervous?

I don't know if the temperature can be displayed in *F.
I haven't found an App that records CPU temp for the Incredible, if it's possible.
F to C Deduct 32, then multiply by 5, then divide by 9
C to F Multiply by 9, then divide by 5, then add 32

I do tech support for a carrier and along with the calls I get daily from frustrated Android users and some of the threads that I read in various forums, it just seems like this isn't a widely known or used option. Personally, before I have someone do a factory reset, I always have them put in in safe mode. Only once has the original issue they called about reoccured while in safe mode, so out a replacement went. Just seems so much easier to do a little self troubleshooting rather than calling up a carrier or ranting on a message board about how bad or faulty a device is. I'd hazard to guess that 95%+ of the issues these devices run into is due to end-user error.
So I live in DC and I get on the metro on the way to work this morning and I cant search to save my life. I am not able to pull up any websites *fully* bc google thinks I am driving! It wont even allow me to search for anything from google.com! Anyone know how to turn this off? Im sitting at my desk now and its still thinking im driving! wth!

I bank through PNC and was thinking using Android Banking (as far as I can tell PNC does not have there own app yet). I'm still not sure about using a third party app and having my identity stolen. I know I can get the info by using the browser, but it just seems that apps are more convenient.
View 13 Replies View RelatedFor those of you who don't know...this is how you can boot your incredible into safe mode (newer version). 1 start your phone wait for the white screen 2 hold down your volume down button with one thumb and use your other thumb to press the circular button and the menu button at the same time. 3 hold this until your phone buzzes (then its ok to release the buttons) 4 you phone will start in safe mode...you will see "safe mode" in the lower corner.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to see a thread for my own sake and others on what apps people have removed and what is safe.In order to remove an app use these directions.Footprints: (I had to do a Nandroid backup after removing this becauuse maps would not load in navigation) some online have reported the same problem while others here said it worked for them) JUST BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP FIRST.Another app to watch for is Friendstream as people have reported problems with constant sync issues.(Also just a question when removing apps do you need to run the same command line ending with .odex?)

I go into Menu>Setting>Update automatically, click on the box, then get the Data warning "this may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. Enable automatic download of weather data"
Click on YES
then I back out, and go back in to the setting, and the box is UNCHECKED again.
It's not holding the update yes setting.
I'm not liking the alarm clock built into the Dinc. I hate all the alarm sounds and there does not appear to be a way to add different ones or even an MP3. What I'm really looking for is an alarm that will start off softly and build up say over 30 seconds. All the stock alarms just BLAST and freaks me and my wife out each morning. A snooze button is a must as I like to hit it a few times before I need to get up. I also need one that is very reliable as I use it as my main alarm for both home and on travel.

View 49 Replies View RelatedAnyone using the Divi Clock widget and having problems because of it? It kept causing the MMS application on my phone to force close. I did a factory reset last Friday. Thought the problem was just a result of the 2.2 update. My phone was good all weekend up until today and the problem started up again. So started to narrow down what was causing the problem and this was the only thing I could find that was causing it. I switched clocks on my home screen and the MMS application hasn't had any problems since. Just thought I'd share this.
