Aug 17, 2010What's everyone's favorite Android related blog?I like Droid-life.com.They tend to get the latest scoops before the other guys. I also check out androidcentral.com.Quite honestly, as awesome as the forums are, phandroid.com is that not that good of a blog.

HTC Incredible :: Favorite Contact Not Showing Up In ALL
Sep 22, 2010I have an issue where someone in my favorites group of contacts and is not showing up when I got to "People" and select "ALL".This is the second time this has happened to me and the only way I know how to fix it is to delete the contact and then add them back. Anybody else run into this isssue and know a better way to fix it?I'm on stock 2.2 but this happened in stock 2.1 also.

I've also heard there are some good games out there that are NOT available in the market.

May 9, 2010I was trying to get rid of one of the contacts on the "favorite contacts" page (the page to the right of the home screen) and I inadvertently deleted the entire screen! Now I can't figure out how to get a favorite contacts screen back - it's just a blank page now. Can anyone help?

Sep 2, 2010Prior to my 2.2 update from this morning (which I am slowly not liking!) I used to hit the "awake" button and then "menu" instead of sliding that bar down in order to unlock my phone. Since this update that is no longer an option.

Sep 20, 2010I have 9 Favorites set up on my Incredible, 8 of them work perfectly (I have them fixed up so that when I choose the person, the entire address card comes up so I can choose to call, email, text or whatever), and the ninth (set up only to place a telephone call) used to work perfectly, now not so much.When I select the contact, I get a message that says "Call not sent, no valid number entered".I have looked at his address card, and all seems correct.I have not changed anything so really don't know what is going on.I thought maybe if I deleted this one contact and then re-added, it would fix it, but when I try to delete this one, the phone looks like it wants to delete the other 8 as well, and I really don't want to have to set this up again (actually, can't remember how I got them to show the whole address book entry).

Nov 15, 2010I just downloaded the source of wordpress app. I am on the process of rebranding the wordpress app (icons & labels) for my self hosted site. I was wondering, if there is a process / configuration option to remove the wordpress links & wordpress blogging options from my app. It doesn't make sense for the user to download my app from market place & go to wordpress site with it.I want the users be able to use both the default wordpress app & my self hosted app. However, for that, I think I need to change the package name in the android manifest and thus refactor all the old package names of all the java class. But then I will loose the ability to sync & get update of the latest build of the wordpress app.
Is there a way I can install the same code with the same package (as a different application) without conflicting with the wordpress app?Can anyone point me to the direction where I can find more details on the application namespace / package name conflicts?

Sep 24, 2010The timing of this week's blog post was perfect. It was exactly what I intended to do today. And the extra Ant step worked fine, and I can see Proguard obfuscate my files into bin/obf/obfuscated.jar (yes, I tweaked the file names and paths a little bit), the resulting App- release.apk does not include the obfuscated files. My first hint was my stack traces, but I confirmed it with dedexer. Has anyone else verified their .apk? How does the compile step know what .class files to use? (I'm hoping its not assuming some hard coded path.)
