View 6 RepliesI rooted my Incredible, and now I have it running the Froyo leak. Unfortunately, I didn't install radio 2.x before doing this, so my camcorder doesn't function properly. Is there a way to downgrade from Froyo to 2.1, install radio 2.x, then reinstall Froyo?
View 5 Replies View Relatedseems like anything using 3g drains my battery. slacker player saps 30% of a 2600mah battery in a single hour. If I were to be conservative, it would be 25% of a 2200mah, accounting for other parts of the phone and possibly a low quality battery. Even then, that's horrible. It didn't used to be this bad. And now I suspect it's a combination of a new radio update that boosts signal by consuming more power, and the fact that 3g coverage is weak where I'm at (though it worked good enough before the update). So if there's any way to downgrade radio without losing froyo or other phone functionality, or directly influence power consumption of the 3g radio, please let me know.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI received the 2.1 OTA and ran the update. My phone is much more sluggish and I would like to revert back to the 1.5 software. Is this possible???
View 1 Replies View RelatedDepends on the size and gauge of the wire of your headphones. Also depends on the position of the wires. FM radio is a little picky, but works fine- depending on the points mentioned. Old & wrong: The FM radio on the Inc must be the weakest radio in a phone, evah! Just tried it today and picks up half the channels my Ngage and N900 pick up well. A lot of channels barely come in, or are static filled. I thought Steely Dan said "FM has no static at all"? Makes the CDMA radio seem not that bad, in comparison I know- at LEAST it has a radio. Must be set to suppa powwa savva mode

View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw a similar thread, but didn't see the answer I was looking for. I did the OTA upgrade to 2.2 last week. Having some problems, so I thought I might roll it back to 2.1. Is doing the factory reset the same as downgrading to 2.1? OR is there some other way to downgrade? If so, could somebody provide step by step instructions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere have already been several requests for information on how to downgrade back to the official 2.2. The following process will remove root. Whether you need to return a phone or you just want to clean the slate and go back to stock, here is how to get there:
Note: Your SD card MUST be formatted to FAT32 before proceeding. The file will not be recognized otherwise. If you have yet to format, remember that formatting wipes the card. Be sure to copy/move your SD contents to a safe place (PC desktop) and replace after the formatting process. I will not go into the procedure in this thread as it is easily found with a Google search.
1.) Need to return a phone and currently have S-Off? (aka Unrevoked Forever) If so, please visit public:forever [RootWiki] where you can download the latest S-On tool and the process to load to your phone. If you want to keep S-Off and just return to the official 2.2, skip to step 2.
2.) Download the 2.2 PB31IMG.zip (extracted from the official 2.2 RUU)
Mirror 1 (Credit and thanks to Doug Piston for hosting)
Mirror 2
Note the file size (172 MB) and the MD5 (31BB1611A0FA8197D447C0438426717E) to ensure a successful download and file integrity. If you have questions about how to verify MD5, please see post #2 of this thread.
3.) Attach phone to PC with USB debugging on and in disk drive mode.
4.) Access the SD storage and drag the PB31IMG.zip from the desktop onto the root of the SD card (any open area, do not place into a folder).
5.) Swipe down notification bar on phone and change to charge only.
6.) Unplug phone from PC and turn off phone.
7.) Hold volume down while pressing power button to enter hboot.
8.) PB31IMG.zip should be automatically recognized in hboot. Press volume up to continue with update. Do NOT interrupt.
9.) When finished, reboot to stock 2.2 and verify the following information at Menu > Settings > About Phone:
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 2.15.00.07.28
Software Number: 3.26.605.1
10.) Remove the PB31IMG.zip from the SD card to avoid an inadvertant reload in the future. You are now unrooted and on stock 2.2
Also adding the RUU option for those that are interested. Thanks again to Doug for the upload/host. For those new to RUU, download to a PC and run from there:

I have the htc incredible and want to downgrade, i am curently using this tutorial but have found some issues
How to downgrade and root your DInc from 2.2. when i try to type :adb push flash_image /data/local/ the cmd just says error device not found when my phone is on charging and usb debuging.
I tired installing the 2.2 update, but as many of us have seen problems have been occuring. I updated my sisters radio to the version that changed the start up screen. I didn't root the phone or apply any other update except for that one. Obviously I need to downgrade what I did to the stock. I downloaded SDK and will attempt to follow this:
Quote:
I had 2.1 rooted with S-OFF
I wasn't able to update to 2.2 via OTA so I found an update.zip
I attempted to load the update.zip but it failed
Using [VIDEO] HowTo UnRoot Incredible by downgrading I downgraded to stock 2.1 but for some stupid reason I also disabled unrevoked forever and went to S-ON
I then applied the May OTA update Getting your phone ready for the FroYo update.zip!
Following that I applied the 2.2 update.zip
Here are the versions I'm on:
HBOOT-0.92.0000
RADIO-2.15.00.07.28
Now I'm trying to apply unrevoked3 and it fails
I found 2.1 stock to 2.2 rooted (with links to files)
I tried to downgrade to stock again and I now get this error:
Main Version is older!
Update Fail!
Do you want to reboot the device?
From what I understand I'm unable to downgrade to stock due to having an updated HBOOT
I've found instructions on how to downgrade HBOOT How to revert back to an earlier version of HBOOT but it seems I need clockworkmod to do that
So my question is. Is there a way I can proceed from here or am I stuck waiting for an official root for 2.2?
Can someone post a back up of this app. When I upgraded my Eris to 2.1, the backup didn't include this file and now I can't get it on the market place. One of my favorite free apps for streaming my sports station at work.

I just got my Evo yesterday, and so far everything has been great! I did most of the suggestions in the battery fix threads, and I managed to only drop to about 60% battery after 24 hours, even with decent usage. The problem that I discovered today was that I seem to be unable to pair to any Bluetooth devices after turning the radio back on (first time trying to pair). When I turn everything on, I simply can't see anything when I search for devices. I put the earpiece that I'm trying to link to in discovery mode, and the phone never sees it. Neither does it see the printer Bluetooth interface or the PC Bluetooth. The printer, at least, should be always discoverable. Finally, I tried linking to my wife's phone, and it could neither see her phone when I set it to discoverable, nor could her phone see mine when I made it discoverable. It looks to me as if my Bluetooth radio is completely non-functional, but does anyone know if there may be something simple that I'm missing? A hidden setting or a Bluetooth diagnostic test that I could run (loopback or other)? Does anyone know if the Bluetooth module is integrated on the main PCA or is a add-on module that might be disconnected?
View 1 Replies View RelatedInstead of trying to grab the notification bar and swiping it down, simply start ABOVE the screen and swipe down. Fast or slow makes no difference.
You can swipe it back up, or simply hit the back button.
A long time ago I upgraded to the 2.15 radio. Everything worked great except for one thing. Occasionally (once every 2-3 days) my 3g goes off and I can't turn it back on. I'll toggle airplane mode to no avail. Is there a way I can re flash the 2.15 radio? I wouldn't even mind returning to stock before re-rooting if thats what it takes.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe FM radio on the incredible is horrible. Am I the only one who notices this? I tried two different headsets and the reception is still horrible. I mean, not just kinda bad, but basically the reception is so bad that the fm radio is useless. Anyone else have this problem? How do you fix?
View 10 Replies View RelatedThere is a radio station I like, it is on itunes, but also available for stream at their own website. The stream looks for compatibility with Windows media player, or itunes, Winamp, or their own platform which loads on my phone but does not work correctly with no volume.
How I can listen to this station, and what I need to download?
The website is twelvez.com if that helps. There is a link to listing by choosing your format. On the desktop works fine, just wish i could get it on the phone.
I am most interested in changing to a phone w/data pkg - so I can stream am radio when at the gym. (LG Chocolate, two years old - feels like caveman phone now) Would the Inc. be able to do this? - And, would I need to download an app with a player? - or is there one standard with Android?

View 16 Replies View Relatedjust ordered the Incredible and have been checking out the forum. I already feel right at home here. I do have a question regarding the FM radio capabilities of the phone. Here in Utah, the local NPR station has gone through the whole HD radio upgrade and apparently with an HD radio I could listen to three different channels while tuned into 90.1. Can I do that with the Incredible? Are there any apps that would make that possible? I tried searching the forums but didn't find anything.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've read all the threads I could find in here about turning off the cell radio but none have addressed this particular configuration. The reason I want to do this is because I don't use my Incredible for talking, I just use it as a computer. For talking I use a cheap little "dumb phone" so to conserve battery while i'm out n about all day, i would love to be able to have the cell radio off while 3g is on. If anyone knows of any way/app to achieve this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to update my radio to 2.15 from 1.0. i put the pb31img zip on the root of my sd card, and did everything it said to do here: New Radio 2.15.00.07.28 for HTC Incredible from Adrynalyne but it doesn't actually ask me to update. it checks the file but then goes to the standard hboot menu. I'm running frankenrom 5 if it matters and I'm new to rooting and stuff so I'm probably making a simple mistake.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently purchased ROM Manager, and decided to try out downloading a ROM through it. I decided to go with JagerROM, which I've seen before requires the 2.2, but in ROM Manager it didn't say so. So I downloaded the ROM, and it works perfectly, my only question is, how can I tell if it already updated my radio or not?
Under my software information, it says Android version 2.2, but the Baseband version is 1.00.03.04.06. So is my radio already updated?
If I update my radio, will the camcorder work with CM6? or would I have to use skyraider's froyo rom to get a full functioning froyo ROM? nothing against skyraider, they are great ROMs it's just that I don't like sense so I'm sticking with cyanogen. if updating the radio won't help cyanogenmods ROM, does anybody know if they've made any progress with getting the camcorder to work?
