General :: Droid Bionic - Phone Randomly Playing Commercial Through Speakers?
Oct 31, 2012My phone just randomly started playing a "commercial"? for some McAfee Deep something product, talking about phone secrutiy and stealth attacks and how attacks now start at the kernel level? There was no video playing, I was on my home screen while the sound was coming out.
I started closing apps 1 by 1 to see if it would stop. First I thought it was pulse, so closed it first, then Google Chrome and nothing. I ended up closing all of my apps and it was still playing!
At the end I heard the "Intel inside" sound.
General :: Looking For Automatic File Uploader?
Jan 10, 2013im looking for an application that will allow me to upload files to an online folder. The catch is this, i want it to automatically upload a file every week or so, without me having to upload it.
The reason is this: my father has problems with his phone but has no technological knowledge. Also, he is away from home every now and then for some time.Therefore I need an application that will grab his backups (sms, logs, whatever) and upload them every week to an online folder (dropbox, google drive, idk).

Jul 26, 2010I just saw a commercial for the Chase Real Cash Debit Card and in the scene where the guy is standing at the counter and his phone rings, he pulls out a MotoDroid! Just thought I'd share this. I think that it's cool that we are finally seeing Android phones in other commercials. I still haven't seen one in a TV show or movie yet, but I'm sure it's only time before I do. I tried finding the commercial with google, but I guess it's just too new of a commercial to be on the internet yet.

2. This is just a silly question but if I plan on buying the extended battery, does it really matter if I turn my phone on while charging it? I am having it shipped to work and I have been teasing my one co-worker who has a storm about this phone for months so I am sure she will want to see it!

I like that I can get their pics, email, other phone numbers, etc. What I don't like is that my phonebook has 100 contacts from Facebook that I will never ever call. I figured out how to get the picture from the phone to be the one used for the contacts, but three of them keep reverting to the facebook pictures and I can't figure out why.

Apr 30, 2010So, somehow I accidentally installed the Facebook app in the Android market, which overwrote my Facebook HTC app that came built in. Did I screw anything up? AppBrain told me to upgrade it (HTC version), and upgraded to market version. Is there a difference? Should I care? Is there a way to undo what I have done? Seems like AppBrain has a bug in there, so be warned! Or it is just me being clueless, I suppose.

Aug 6, 2010I installed Facebook for Android the other day. The update seemed to wreak havoc on my phone so I uninstalled the update. I can't, however, seem to uninstall the Facebook for Android. I just want to go back to Facebook for HTC Sense, since my phone was problem-free before I installed the Android version.
I tried "Manage Applications" and AppBrain. Neither will let me uninstall.

May 12, 2010Well, I seem to either A) have a problem or B) it's a problem just in general.I have Facebook installed, and there's obviously Facebook for HTC Sense. I want to sync my Facebook account and only that. I don't personally care to use the Sense inspired widgets because I like my streams separate.Anyway, I go into the Accounts menu in settings and removed the Facebook for Sense account and tried to add a new account, but whenever I click Facebook, it does absolutely nothing.I don't understand what's going on.
