Why is it that certain apps say that they need to be updated in App Brain, but the market doesn't report that these updates are available? The major one is Touchdown. I see an update available in App Brain for it, but the market link it takes me to is the free trial page. Today, App Brain pointed me to the google maps 4.4 update. Market didn't alert me of this update, but the market page for it seemed legit.

I still don't get what's so good about app brain except that it tells you there are updates available for apps you have downloaded. is this the only PLUS, or am i missing a big picture?

View 2 Replies View Relatedall of a sudden AppBrain does not sync with the internet when you try and add apps to your list to be downloaded later and it does not show me updates at all anymore. They only show through the Market, not AppBrain, which is what I prefer. And I really like it when it syncs from the internet to the app on the phone when it comes to picking apps you want. I tried logging in and out and it did nothing. I added 2 apps to my list and it is not showing at all on AppBrain.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy brother was scared to root his, but now after 3 months, he's finally secure in the thought that it won't kill his phone, so he decided to root. He also has a Hero, the exact same phone as mine. The only problem is, his won't root. Initially he tried doing it via the latest version of Kitchen, with the single click root. It didn't work, so I tried it just to make sure he was doing everything right. What the results are, is after the auto root, upon reboot, while holding the home key, it won't boot to the recovery screen. The screen goes black with only the triangle and exclamation point with the little phone pic next to it. The battery has to be pulled to restart it. Everything boots up fine after the battery pull, and it runs as though root was never attempted.
Well, last night I had to update the recovery shell on mine to 1.6.2, so I grabbed his phone and figured I'd try doing everything manually through a DOS window and adb. I did mine first, and had no problems at all. Reflashed and all is well. When I manually did his, it gave the congrats, enjoy the shell message, but still won't boot to the recovery screen. It still boots to the triangle and exclamation point pic. I did his EXACTLY the same as mine.
I just rooted my phone and i have installed Behold 2 Stock Rom with Tweaks by BH man which i kinda like, but im posing the question to you all. Which Rom did you like best and why? I know everyone has thier own opinon. But i'm just looking for your opinon.

Ones that use the potential of the desire, free ones to start with. Maybe something that uses motion, like some of the iphone games I have seen. Some are basic but really addictive such as getting a ball to drop down platforms before it gets crushed at the top of the screen (not sure what its called). Also a decent brain training DS type game?

When I click back on the market its like 50/50 if its actually still downloading/installing the app. Otherwise it'll just forceclose again when I retry to download it. Nothing else on my phone broke from the update but this is kinda bugging me..

Yea, I've manually installed the newest version that's on the market on other devices but It'd be much easier to download it from the market and set it to auto update. Are we eventually going to get a Flash 10.1 app on the market or are we stuck having to manually update?
Been using SwiftKey beta since Swype stopped working consistently and I got a notice this to upgrade to a final version (directly in advance of the Market release next week. It's definitely worth and it's learned my input habits so I hit just one button for most words. Just thought I'd let other users know.

If I can't find one for Android, then I may have to carry two devices. I want to replace my Ipod Touch which has PDF apps with my Incredible. Can't wait for the 29th.
