Anyone feel like Helix Launcher 2 eats battery on the Incredible? When I turn the phone on I choose Helix 2 NOT sense but obviously both are running. I feel like it's bringing my battery life down. Anyone else feel that way?

View 10 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, which I can't figure out yet, when I go to Settings -> About -> Battery and look at usage, my cell standby is always highest which is fine but Bluetooth is always #2! I'm talking on average it's always 25% or close to that.This seems odd because it's just on, not connected to anything. If I turn off Bluetooth it immediately drops (obviously) so it just seems that for some reason the Bluetooth on this phone eats battery life like no tomorrow. What's stranger is WiFi (which I leave on 24/7) hardly goes above 10%.Very odd. Anybody notice the same? I guess I just have to get into habit of turning off BT when I'm not using it.

View 9 Replies View Relatedhelix launcher 2 now works on android 2.1. Do not buy clockworkmod launcher. The link is Donators' Repo Home.
Step 1:EDIT EDIT EDIT Click the download link and rename .php to .apk.
Step 2 Download the beta on your phone.
Step 3: Go into astro and find the download in your downloads file. Step 4: install and whalah.
It wont let you install it directly from the downloads page for some reason. Dont set as default your first time incase of FC loop.
I have helix launcher(the first one) and I wanted to get 5 screens instead of three so I went to configure it and took off all my widgets like it told me to do. It restarted and I got a FC notification. It's set as my primary home and I can't get the message to stop popping up. I tried restrting my phone several times but before I can press the home button or any button the message pops up again and there is nothing I can do. Is there anything I can do to get past this FC notification?

Got that, and I also like the extra buttons across the bottom, very nice. the phone is laggy when I use Helix. I can switch back to the standard Launcher, and no lag, so it is helix. Is there some settings I can play with to help with the lag? is there another launcher I can try that has 5 screens (or more) and less lag?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have Helix Lanucher installed on my Droid 2.1, and have had it for about a month now. And all of a sudden today, I am getting CONSTANT force closes, to the point where I can't even get to the settings, or market to uninstall it.
Is there another way to remove it from my phone?
No not the OTA. My Helix Launcher decided to force close ALOT. Back to back. I rebooted my phone to no avail. I pulled the battery and nothing was fixed. I tried to pull the app drawer and select the Uninstaller app, but it would force closed before I could open it.
Then I had a revelation: I have the Market as one of my shortcut apps on my Helix dock. I opened it up and went to my downloads, and opened the Uninstaller app. Uninstalled Helix, and now I am good to go.
I tried to switch from 5 screens down to 3 and it all started.
Just received my replacement Eris on Friday the new one already has the 50% without signal bug and has frozen up on me today several times.The battery is discharging at an ultra high rate and my Up time is 4:04 while my awake time is 3:58 as you can see not much difference between the two.I have killed all of the apps I can see in running apps and services.What could the problem be?I am a newbie.

View 20 Replies View RelatedSince receiving the 2.1 OTA it seems that the camera is not closing properly after exiting. I first noticed this after I received the OTA update and just assumed I needed to do a factory reset, which i did yesterday.I checked it again this morning, took a pic, waited an hour and a half, and voila it's still eating battery at a prodigious rate as compared to other apps and systems currently consuming battery. The only thing I've found that works to date is rebooting the phone.Any ideas? anyone else experiencing this? My 1.5 ran beautifully and 2.1 is too, (I'm in the Frisco camp) with the exception of this camera glitch.

Until a couple of weeks ago turning of network location seemed to fix the issue but now even with network location turned off Google Services are constantly shown as eating 40-50% battery in the general settings. I have not changed any settings or installed any new apps.

No new apps have been installed and I am only using the phone how I normally have. what could be causing this? And also the in call volume is way to low, I am a gas engineer and working on site with this phone is a nightmare I can not hear a thing. Will the 2.1 update change this? I can not wear a Bluetooth headset for too long as it starts to hurt.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNormally I wouldn't worry, but when it does crash, and I'm not paying attention to my phone, it suddenly sucks the battery big time. If it happens overnight while I'm sleeping, the battery will be dead. I just checked my phone now; last check was about 2 hours ago, it was at 90-odd percent, and now it's at 55% and com.htc.launcher is asking to be force closed. I check my battery usage, and sure enough, it's the culprit. My phone is also very hot, perhaps because it's overusing the battery. I want to avoid a factory reset. Is there any solution or known cause for this problem?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just recently rooted my phone, but don't have the latest OTA Update, Just some background info.
I installed Launcher Pro which I love for the customization and look of it, I honestly do not want to get rid of it. I used Home Screen(haven't Uninstalled) to switch my default launcher to Launcher Pro. I pretty much don't have any widgets besides a calendar widget I've always used and the default android weather widget and BatteryLeft Widget and it seems my battery drains in literally 4 hours.
I read up some where and figured that the sense UI is still running in the background, and I set it to clear state so it have no widgets running either but the phone still has a terrible battery life.
I'm just really confused how some people have launcher pro and it doesn't drain their battery's at all and I have it and every 3 hours I have to replug my phone back in. I've been trying to figure this out but I can't think of anything and was wondering if other people have had this same problem a and have a solution..
If you need anymore information on what apps I have running and what widgets please let me know.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to setup a KeyListener on an EditText widget. My code is as follows: Where mMsgToSend is my EditText widget. The problem is that whenever I implement this code, everything stops showing up in my EditText widget. Anything I type does not show up in the widget. When I set a break point in my code everything is executing as I would expect it to. If I do not have the code in place, everything shows up in the widget as I type. My understanding is that if you want everything to be handled normally then you return a "false" from the event handlers otherwise you return a "true".
