Ive had nothing but happiness since i installed 2.2 but i keep reading how people are having issues with radio, earpiece quality or stuck boot screens. So many issues from the same update??? What is going on??

How is Bluetooth audio quality with your Evo? I'm using a Jabra Extreme earpiece and am experiencing poor audio quality. One person with whom I was speaking said that I sounded like I was running or was in a windy location (I was calling from a quiet hotel room). On my end there was noticeable static. As a test, I hung up and paired the Jabra with my Blackberry 8830, and the person with whom I was speaking said that I sounded a little distant, but otherwise clear. On my end, the audio quality was good.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI thought my Palm Pre had excellent sound quality. But the Epic sound is phenomenal. I talk with my girlfriend every night and last night I heard tons of background noise from her 10 year old cordless phone.
I never heard any of it before. I actually thought I might have a defective Epic,but today I made other calls and the Epic is outstanding. Actually every aspect of the phone is outstanding.
how to root my phone but i had just installed the AIM app and got an instant message so i swipped down to unlock the screen and kept getting these error messages that all apps were force close and space full on both phone and SD card (i had previously gotten space full on the phone but i must have uninstalled about 8 sound board apps and the message stayed) then the phone went very slowly and the force close messages would not stop so i guess i did the stupid thing and held the power button and found it odd that the only option was power off so i shut it down and attempted to turn it back on and it showed the white screen with the HTC incredible and then the HTC brilliant and then the Verizon tsunami screen or splash or whatever it is but it kept repeating that cycle over and over again (note this was not from an attempted root) i can put it into recovery mode and i was wondering what i can do from the recovery screen and if i can root it from the recovery screen. I'm sorry but i have no idea on how to root but if someone could help it would be much appreciated. and thank you for reading my long winded post but i wanted to be as detailed as possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedGot the WSOD on a non-rooted, stock 2.2 incredible last night. Pulling the battery is the only way to turn it off. Recovery and Factory Reset from hboot manager hang at the htc white screen. Clear Storage also goes straight to the white screen. If turned off it'll charge. SD card is not corrupted. Phone was in close proximity to an iphone 3g for maybe an hour. (We'd been comparing the screens then the iphone was placed on top of the incredible while we ate dinner.) Noticed that phone was at the white screen. Battery was not warm. No signs of external damage. Either this is totally random, or the RF from the iphone managed to fry something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted a few days ago and did the forever S-off. I have ROM Manager loaded and was poking around in the system. I downloaded Skyraider and ROM Manager asked me to reboot. Not thinking it wouldn't let me know what it was doing when in recovery before doing something the rom had been applied. Now the Phone has for 40+ minutes been at the "HTC Incredible" boot screen.
I have read not to pull the battery but The power Button and Volume button do nothing so I could really use some suggestions. As a little more info I have not flashed the radio yet so it was a 1.x radio that a 2.2 rom was just seemingly applied to.
Bricked or recoverable? I have a Nandroid backup if someone can help me get back to that point...
I applied a battery percentage mod without doing a nandroid. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop. I tried reapplying the stock battery in recovery and still looping.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it just my phone, I was just on the phone with someone that was on a landline, I noticed it was a little garbly (is that a word LOL) and a little hard to understand, almost like the beginning of each word was cutting off, I decided to put him on speaker phone so I can write stuff down and the phone call was now crystal clear. Anyone else notice that their speaker phone sounds better then if they are not on speaker phone?

Seems whomever I speak with can hear me fine, I just can't understand them. This hasn't been frequent but it is increasing. One day I had an ear shattering high-pitch noise that pretty much stopped all calls and I had to power down the phone. Could this be hardware or software related?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was a Power Palm User for 10 years, have a blackberry for work, and finally gave up my Palm for a HTC Evo 4g. Thus far, I have extremely mixed feelings. So here is a description of my current issue. My battery died a few nights ago, and I got stuck in a do loop where the device keeps rebooting but never gets to the navigation screen. The screens I see are:
* HTC Evo intro screen
* Sprint
* 4g with welcome tone
Followed by repeat of Sprint then 4g again and again............
Been creating a theme last few days. I installed it on my phone, but before doing so i was a good boy and did a nandroid backup. Then i didnt like osme of the things i changed so i restored my backup i just did now its stuck after restoring on the white htc evo screen. NOT GOOD!! I even pulled the battery and SD Card...twice.

I've taken the battery out multiple times, but it does the same thing. The animation starts up then freezes after ~3 seconds, then the animation starts again and it just repeats. Installed it and turned on my phone and now I get stuck with in a boot loop. re-installing my old card and it boots ok. so I figured I could make a new nandroid back up and just restore it. where do nandroid backups get stored on the sd card? I have a nandriod folder but it doesn't seem to contain the one I just made. I'm running the latest fresh 3.2

Did the wipes, (cache, dalvik and factory) did the wipes again after reboot,Now Im stuck in an infinite bootloop, (goes to samsung splash, then Devilkernel Splash, then CWM where it shows cannot mount e:/ (cycles too quick I can't see it..) then it just reboots and continues, I can't boot the phone into CWM recovery, can't boot into download mode, tried USB JIG, doesnt do anything,I can't adb my phone, can't ODIN..
My htc explorer initially got stuck at the htc logo at boot and won't go any further.I searched for solutions on xda and tried to install Cyanogenmod 10.2 on it. Now the device gets stuck at cyanogenmod boot animation (was going on until half -an-hour ! )
Next i searched some more, caught TWRP recovery on a glance. Tried installing it, but my Laptop ( Win8.1 x64 ) doesnt recognize the device whatsover, even after installing the adb drivers and HTC SYNC. . Now i finally installed FLYROM v4 refined, and the phone is stuck at htc 'quietly brilliant' logo .
i am stuck at the boot password screen when i didnt not set any password for my asus transformer. i had started it up in the am no problem and then it froze around noon and then when i rebooted it, it came to this password screen, and nothing works, I have talked to the guys over at transformer forums and they said that i should try to go in it through my computer but my computer doesnt seem to recognize it either. I dont know what to do and i feel like i have a 500 dollar paper weight. its a tf101 32 g asus transformer

View 31 Replies View Relatedafter my phone crashed / went unresponsive after a call I did what I've gotten used to doing which is taking out the battery to reset it. Though, this time I had the charger in which I'm guessing is what made the phone corrupt. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop with no way to reset it. Recovery mode doesn't help and I'm guessing there's no hardware reset button. I've never rooted or installed anything that's not from the free market.
I'm living in Sweden but bought it in Germany so am reluctant to go through the hassle of returning it. Or does samsung have som kind of world wide warranty?
trying a new Chevy kernel I went into boot loop. No biggie, I just booted into recovery and went back to my goto kernel. BUT, now that causes boot loops and in fact, any kernel I load - I have tried 4 - causes a boot loop. even my stable goto.

I tired putting it in download mode and it didnt work eiter. When i plugged in the usb, it showed the charging icon with the loading sign, however the loading sign did not go away, again I had to remove the battery.
