I want to be able to play a playlist when I hook my Evo up to my car radio via USB. Scanning so many folders for one song, then doing it again for next song is getting kinda annoying.

Dec 4, 2012How do you get the on device playlist within "play music app" to udpate/refresh. I have copied music files to my phone SD card, all the songs from the playlist and when look at artist, or other views it see that these are on device, but when go to the playlist it does not, also if I remove a song from the playlist from the web it still shows on device.
I don't want to download songs to device from the play cloud, like to move them over from PC. also do not want to stream from the cloud all the time, I listen to music too much to use that much data.
I want to just use the native play music app from google, but the on device functions are not up to par and end up using apps like power amp etc.

General :: Google Play Music - Redownloading Entire Playlist Again
Feb 10, 2013I'm having an issue on my i9300.
I keep songs from Google Play on my device so I can listen offline.
But whenever it "keeps requested music" it seems like its redownloading the entire playlist over again, not just songs I just added to the playlist. It's like it deleted the playlist I had, and is redownloading it again.
Jelly Bean :: ISyncr And Google Play Music - Latest Playlist Missing?
Oct 7, 2013I've been using iSyncr for a few months now and overall it's pretty good. I was using it with Rocket Player, but didn't care for that player much, so I am just using the google music app for now.
The problem: All playlists sync, except for the most recent. So if I have playlists 1-5, with 5 being what I just created in iTunes and sync'd, play music will only show 1-4. Whenever I move on and create #6, then #5 will show up but 6 will be missing.. and so on.
I need to either figure out why, or find an alternative music player that doesn't have this problem and works with the iSyncr process/playlists. Rocket Player did not, but had some other things that I didn't like.

Dec 4, 2009Ok I have a Sprint HTC Hero and I have made some great playlists, problem is I cannot back up my playlist to my SD Card, so if I do a hard reset all playlists are gone forever.. Does anyone know where these files are kept or how to back up them up. I have already tried "MyBackup Pro" but it said "Music playlist backup failed" everytime.

I can connect to the shares via Estrongs and view the pictures, as well as play music. However, so far I can only play 1 song at a time. Nov 17, 2010I just received an MP4 video that plays really well on my Hero. But it is not visible in the photo gallery of my phone. It's grayed out. When I go into my SD card with a file manager and click on it the movie will play perfectly but it won't play though the photo gallery manager.My real issue is that I have to go into a file manager to find the file and play it instead of using a widget to call up a program that will play it. There is obviously something in the phone that can handle the MP4 format and I just need to know what program to use.

Nov 15, 2009This can't be as difficult as it seems. Just to make sure the SD card is clean I formatted it, then mounted the SD card and using doubleTwist did the following:
- Brought my iTunes playlists into doubleTwist
- Selected the one I wanted on the Droid (named "Mobile Phone")
- Drug it to the connected Droid and the songs start transferring just fine (there's only about 300 in this playlist).
- Transfer gets about 70% completed and just hangs up. DoubleTwist at this point is hung up so can't unmount the SD card. Unplug the USB cable
- Now when I go to the SD card it says "SD card is busy" but of course nothing is happening.
- At this point I have to do a battery pull to gain access to the SD card in order to format it again.

Apr 22, 2010I was curious...does anyone know if there is a app out there that allows you to add a playlist of ringtones? Everytime you recieve a call it would be a random ring tone from the list. If you have specifically set a ring tone for a specific contact, then that one will play when they call you, but if no ring tone is set...then it would pick a random one from your playlist.

I've figured out how to create playlists and delete duplicates. I can delete songs from a playlist, but if I just want to move them up, so far no luck. [I'm trying the free version of MixZing player since the std. player says there's not room in my music database to show me the artists in my collection, but that's a different problem. I suppose there's a chance that upgrading MixZing might solve this problem, but I doubt it.

But when i delete songs from the phone through USB-connection, the songs stays on the playlist, even though they dont exist.
This has resulted in a playlist of over 400 songs, which only 40 of them actually works..
Is there any way to force a renew on the playlist so i can get a "clean" playlist?

I made several playlists today but now would like to move some songs to another playlist and delete them from the original playlist. However there is no way to do this. The only option I found was to delete the song from the library all together! Any apps you all recommend that might be better to use for my music?

I don't know what the volume argument needs to be. I've tried this: MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI.toString() for the "volume" argument.
That gives me back a valid content URI that looks like:
content://media/external/audio/playlists/2/members
However, my cursor comes back null. I probably am way off base -- I know what I want to do is very simple.

Jul 30, 2012I recently got CM9 on my Xperia Arc lt15. Overall I'm happy with it except Apollo. I find it difficult to make a playlist. You have to press every freaking song to add it to a playlist. Why not have an option to select some or all songs? Or am I doing it wrong?

I am now running CM6 but cannot figure out how to import my playlists from BB. I did save them but they do not seem to save to the SD card, or if they do I don't know where they save to. And I can't find an import option in musicmod anyway. Does anyone have an idea of how I could import my playlists to a new rom? It took a really long time to make them, I can't do that every time I flash a new rom.

Samsung Captivate :: Best Way To Manage Music / Playlist?
Jul 25, 2010This is my first Android phone. Coming from the iPhone 3Gs, I am expecting a lot. So far this phone is great, it has some bugs on it but I am willing to work with it. One of the best thing about the iPhone was that it was an ipod, a really great music player. Since I am new to Android, I am still learning how to use it.
I am using DoubleTwist to sync my music to the phone. I was able to import all my info from Itunes over to DT, but the problem was syncing it to the phone. I am not able to sync my playlist to the phone. I am able to sync the music itself but when I try to play it on my phone it is a mess. Is it possible to get my playlist to sync with this phone?
