May 12, 2010I need some instructions on how to remove the Eris 2.1 leak that I installed? I did it by downloading some file and copying it to my memory card, then holding down the vol button and the power button. How do I flash it back to 1.5? This leak is very buggy on my phone.

Jun 5, 2010I was good with the leak, but then i experienced a few hardware problems and had to get a replacement eris. Well, now i am rooting this beasty, tryin to overclock it. The guides have been helpful and clear on getting to this point, but now i am stuck of the multiple roms out there, very few of them actually list what's available. I wanted as few as possible of the stock apps (peep, amazon, footprints, all that garbage gone), overclock, 5-7 screens, and for it to do my taxes, change my timing belt, and book flights for me all at once, but can't seem to find out. Right now i've got home, senseui, and nexus launcher loaded up on here, using senseui cause that's what i am used to. Nexus launcher seems to be well a resource hog that this phone cant handle without overclocking.

Jul 30, 2010I was just wondering, can the Gmail and Messages stock applications be removed? I tried to do just that, but then a warning pops up saying "it can't be done". And I've tried the stock uninstaller and third party ones. And if it can be done what happens then? Any complications like... i dunno, deleting Gmail connection to my phone, or SMS network settings? I don't want either of that obviously. I use the stock Mail application for all my email accounts, so Gmail is plain redundant, and i also use Handcent SMS third party app for my SMS, which makes the messages stock app also redundant. I don't mind about the bit of space they take, but it's just annoying when i receive an email from Gmail, both apps activate and i get two notifications. And same thing happens with SMS too.

Oct 16, 2010I've read several places that you need to root in order to remove stock apps. However, when I was browsing through Astro tonight, I found the apps folder on the Evo, and when pulling up the apk of them with the App Manager, the uninstall button was available. I didn't click on it, because I wasn't sure if there would be any ramifications. Will I just get an error that says, I can't unistall it? Has anyone tried this?

I unmounted the sd card. Then reformatted it. Same results. Also is there a trick on how to remove it from the phone? I tried just pulling on it put its in there pretty good.

Jul 13, 2010So now that we have the wireless hotspot option I'm done with root. Especially considering I haven't been able to get weather updates for the past two weeks and my phone restarts when trying to install new apps.
I'm ready to just set everything back to stock and go back to getting OTAs. I know I can't relock the phone.
My problem is, I have the stock recovery image however whenever I flash it and try to go into recovery it shows me this screen with a little android guy and a big triangle with an exclamation point inside. And then it sits there until I do a battery pull.
I've tried this with the stock recovery from a couple different sources MD5 checks are all good.

Oct 22, 2010I have a couple questions i was wondering could get answered by people with knowledge on the subject. I am pretty new to all this root and flashing scene with these android phones.
so here goes.
About a month [or so] ago i rooted my phone from stock 2.2 i had to downgrade to 2.1 -> root -> back to 2.2. since then i have been enjoying the pleasure of running apps like wifi tether adfree and so on. well i recently found out that because my phone was rooted ( i am still running stock ROM) that i cant update the pri and the kernal ( again i don't really know what this stuff really is, i just know it can help performance and battery wise). so
1. i was wondering if i can flash custom kernels onto the stock ROM.
2. are there any things i can flash onto my rooted stock ROM to help with battery life or anything else?

General :: How To Flash Stock European ROM
Apr 30, 2014i just bought an HTC One Mini on eBay. The smartphone seem to be of Orange.uk (i saw this info using cpu-z app) and does not contain all languages (for example italian, and since i'm italian this isn't a good news).
I'm using this smartphone with a SIM of course not of Orange so i think that is unlocked.
But i want to flash a "classic" Stock of HTC One Mini European, not this. The actual ROM also is "locked" to Android 4.3 and if i check updates he don't find nothing.
So how can i flash a stock european rom? And where i can find it?

Feb 21, 2012I tried to flash CWM Recovery but when the 'confirm your device' menu popped up, my phone wasn't there so i just selected the first one on the list. Now when i try to reboot into recovery, nothing happens. It just boots up normally. how to either flash stock recovery or a custom recovery that will work?

Oct 2, 2010I've tried ShadowRom and CM6 and love both but it's far too buggy for me right now. On SR I would have 5-6 reboots a day which I can't bear. With CM6 it's down to 1-2 reboots a day but sometimes my phone will completely cut off and not reboot at all and I won't know that it's off until I go to wake it up. I also have had voicemails and missed calls that I haven't been notified of and the missed calls won't even show up in the call log later. I only know they are missed when friends tell me they called me three times in a row with no answer. Lastly the battery life is killing me on CM6. I've never drained my 2150 battery before and everybody for the past week I've had CM6 the battery had died with display as the main cause. So I've finally decided I just need to go back to Stock 2.2 and install LauncherPro. So my question is, I know how to remove some of the crapware but what other things can I remove that are Sense related from the stock rom that won't compromise the phone in any way but that will make it run faster and smoother? Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?

Jun 30, 2010This isn't the first time someone has posted a stock app removal guide and probably wont be the last but lately I've seen a lot of threads on the topic so decided to put together a guide of apps that i have removed that has greatly helped out my battery life. For all intensive purposes this is the 'easiest' free way to get rid of the bloat, it does however require root access. You can always just buy root explorer from the market and delete them with it. I tried to make this guide as nob friendly as possible.

Sep 2, 2010I just got the OTA 2.2 update and love the speed of Froyo...it REALLY is faster that 2.1. BUT its not fast enough to run flash properly on some pages. IGN.com is one site that its just to choppy to scroll around properly. I'd rather have speed and smoothness than flash and I don't see any options to disable flash.
Anyone know if it can be disabled and where is the option? And by disable it I mean give the static image....not the green arrow in the white box. The reason is because some pages do not render properly when flash is disabled. A HUGE white box covers a lot of the screen. One example is IGN.com.
Also on a side note, everything else to me was extremely fast on 2.1 and the reason why most people can't tell 2.2 is faster is because they are looking at the fast things in 2.1 and trying to decide if its faster...which you can't really do...you have to look at whats slow. Its like seeing a car fly by...was it going 90 or 100? Hard to tell....but I'm sure you can tell between a car going 20 or 60.
Below are a couple of things in 2.2 is definetely faster than 2.1 for me.
1. Scrolling through text messages is much smoother than 2.1
2. There was a slight 1 - 2 second delay in 2.1 when going to bookmarks (using the thumbnail option)...I guess to load up the images...it is now much quicker. Also, scrolling through the thumbnail bookmarks is a lot quicker.
Samsung Behold 2 :: How To Flash Back To Stock?
Mar 3, 2010a few days ago I was flashing my phone and had a power outage when I was almost done. Now I get can't it to show up on RSL or ADB. It's lagging like crazy. I did resets, I've been searching for 3 days for a way how to just put this phone (behold 2) back to stock, and I can't find a damn thing. I always hate to ask for help but I really need it. This thing freezes and randomly reboots by itself all day long. It's pretty useless. Does anyone have or know of a file I can download and flash or use in some other way to take my phone back to stock condition?
