Running the stock rom on my Evo I got 544 as a result on Quadrant. Is this normal for the Evo stock 2.1 Rom? If not what can be wrong?

1000 mhz Score: 569
Thought that I share these incase someone was curious. I have a Android 2.1 Motorola Milestone. Its interesting to note that at 1000mhz when compared against the online database of benchmark results the Milestone placed higher than the Nexus 2.1. Though of course the nexus 2.2 still lead the charts.
Before applying the Turbo4 ROM, I ran Linpack to get a base number so I can compare it with the number I get after I apply Turbo4. I got a 4.188. The phone is rooted with many of the stock apps removed running the Zeam Launcher, but no other custom ROMS.
Is that a pretty good number to start with? It was higher than I was expecting because most linpack scores i've read about are in the 3's.
like the title says really, what is the best benchmark app for the desire?

I would like to get some some real world data. Against my phone.Could you guys post your Quadrant scores please. In the Droid forums we're getting from 1450-1680. I was just wondering how your scores compare against the chart. I'm assuming it would be better than the Nexus One 2.2 on there.

Trident thanks for the ROM this just shows that it does magic to your phone!
What's your benchmark. Mine got a 1290 after the update and a 1233 before.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know benchmarking isnt perfect and Quandrant scores aren't everything, but I'm interested about Linpack. I just saw the G2 post a 40ish linpack score. Using the Jac's oc/uv voodoo kernel, I can only get about 9.7ish in linpack. So whats the difference? What is it that their hardware is doing that we dont see? Is it a 2.1 vs 2.2? Then I heard somewhere that linpack doesn't like non-qualcomm cpus.

View 38 Replies View RelatedI've been running BB V0.4 with chevy's no1 ULV 1.2Ghz kernel (mostly as an experiment). All my normal applications run flawlessly and the battery life has been good. No issues streaming video, running Pandora, playing 3D games, running SetCPU stress test. However, about every 4th time I run Quadrant, it force closes on the program startup.
This looks like a warning sign that I'm running right on the edge and will eventually have trouble with my normal applications as well. I haven't run Quadrant before using this new kernel. Is this a program that will sometimes force close even nothing is wrong? Also it only force closes if I haven't run it in a while. Once it is in memory I can rerun it many times with no force closes.
I'm thinking that my I7500 is slow. I'm using the CPU Benchmark to compare with another phones and take a look on my results:
710Mhz - 3034ms
614Mhz - 3526ms
528Mhz - 3813ms
This values are normal for the I7500 ?

Does anyone care to see the comparison benchmark tests between the 2.2 Dinc and DX? I switched back to my Dinc and installed 2.2 and curious if anyone wanted to see them cause i'll post them or video the results. Here are just the graphics.
Graphics:
Total Graphics Score:
DX: 23.985842
Dinc: 26.40585
Draw Opacity Bitmap:
DX: 7.3142858
Dinc: 9.507893
Draw Transparent Bitmap:
DX: 7.356322
Dinc: 6.6428804
Can anyone explain to my why the Dinc gets better graphics than the DX? I thought the DX had a separate GPU which makes the picture quality that much better for the DX and should be smoother. Am i wrong?
I wonder if anyone else is getting scores around 15 using Rubicon. My quadrant scores are around 1400 but linpack...
View 3 Replies View Relatedthe Dinc is still alot faster overall and I'm still getting lag with the SF, especially if a Samsung widget (ex: buddies) is on the screen.Which of these is a better score of raw performance (ie: little lag).I'm going to read though the same question posted on the Eris forums now. quadrant vs. linpack - Android Forums
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust curious on what everyones scores are. I don't want to turn the scores into a pissing contest but having flashed roms since July, the froyo/2.2 roms always have higher scores. Also, just fyi, I really only use the scores just to confirm what I already know when a rom becomes laggy. I run the benchmarks for that reason
View 20 Replies View RelatedSo I will be getting my Incredible in on Monday. However, after seeing the Linpack screenshots for the MotoDroid at 2.2 I am wondering if the Incredible really is all that fast. I mean how come the Incredible is slower than the N1 if it has the same hardware? I know the difference is small but I just don't understand that. Also, how do they get the Shadow/Xtreme specs before it is released? Those specs are amazing, maybe I should have waited. Here is a link to the screenshots: Post Your Motorola Droid Froyo Quadrant Scores! | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog. EDIT: The reason I am wondering about the 2.2 specs is because ours should be comparable to the Nexus One. How could the MotoDroid be so much faster than the N1? I'm not looking to bash any phone, I am just confused as to how this works out.

Can someone please explain the difference between quadrant and linpack scores? I get better quad scores with a lower clock speed and better linpack scores with a higher clock speed. which one should I be more interested in? on kaos v32 btw.

I posted the original question on the Fascinate board, but I'd like more exposure to the Incredible members.
I like the looks and size of the Fascinate, but I'm not liking the slug feeling. Sill on the fence for the Samsung OS style. Some is good, some is in alot of need. It's behind HTC Sense for sure though.
Quadrant vs. Linpack scores
I couldn't find a thread that specifically had this information so:
Post your Android 2.2 benchmarks here and mention and non stock mods.
So, just curious for those who have installed this leak, what kind of scores are you seeing? After all my stuff was restored (i did a clean and wipe), I am ending up with a linpack of 34 (i think i am seeing more people closer to 38) and quadrant at 1156 (and i see people up at 1400+)...
What is everyone else getting? And keep the spam out of this one.
first time i killed EVERY task & ran it.. i got an 879 (imo seems WAY too low) i mean the last benchmark i ran was on my D2 which was defective but i was still like double 1400 (i know that had 2.2 & this doesnt) but its a Galaxy S shouldnt it at least be 1000 area? post your benchmarks please
EDIT : i ran it one more time after that & got an 877 .. both times btw it said i had an internal error AFTER i saw the score..
Is a quad benchmark of 1226 on the Droid 1 considered good? very good? fair? Also I flashed slayher's 1.1 kernel, but in system is say's the cpu is only running at 600 mhz. I have UD 8.0 with WD themes where do I look to change the cpu settings? or do I need to download set cpu from the market? Lastly I was thinking of upgrading to the latest baseband ver. I'm getting 2016 down & 576 up with my current baseband ver. the worst spot in my house I get 1400 down & 350 up..do you think it would be worth trying the latest? or am I doing just fine with my current ver.?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid running 2.0.1 (rooted) with 2.1 music, weather and news, gallery, but not launcher. Standard apps plus Home++. I enabled JIT via DroidRootPro and ran some pre and post benchmarks. Note: I am not using any custom ROM or overclocking. Overall the results seem quite promising with pretty substantial gains in most categories.
However, some have me perplexed so i'm hoping someone in this community can clarify it for me. I'm attaching my benchmark scores and you'll notice a few rows have a question mark because i don't understand why enabling JIT is negatively impacting the score. I would appreciate any insight into what JIT does and why it might impact some of the scores, mostly the time to completion ones (time in seconds) and specifically the graphics ones.
P.S. I'm sure there's some better way to attach this sort of thing. I had to size it way down to meet the restrictions. If there's a better way just let me know and i'll redo it.
Anybody use Linpack? Linpack for Android GreeneComputing
Trying to figure out how to maximize my score. Is it worth it?

I've used all sorts of task killers & start up monitors.

I'm running @ 1.2 and returning only 9.7 MFLOPS. What's the deal?
