1. Download unrEVOked3 for Linux (check)
2. What now? (be descriptive)
Do I literally just connect the phone and double-click the file in the tar.gz?
If one downloads the Linux SDK (1.6) the extension of it is .zip but in fact it uses the .tgz format. So if anyone cannot unpack just rename the file to .tgz and it will work. I am surprised that no one from Goolge tested that and that no one complained so far.

You must be on the 2.1 OTA or 2.1.3 leak. This link will take you to information of how to get back to stock to receive this update.[url]
1. Download and re-name to update.zip
2. Turn your phone off, and then back on by pressing Vol-Up & End/Power until the phone starts.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Then press Vol-Up & End/Power again - you should get a short menu, one entry of which will say something about "sdcard:update.zip"; choose that.
5. After the update applies itself, reboot.
This will change your Settings>About Phone to
Firmware 2.1
Baseband Version 2.42.01.04.27

Software Update: DROID Eris by HTC<br>Coming Soon!
I have a WebView, which will contain links to documents, in this case PDF files. The default action (at least on my device) seems to be to open the URL with the browser, which in turn causes them to be saved in the default download location.
I want to intercept this in my code, so that I can get hold of the file and save it to whatever location I choose. Is this possible?
I know there are a bunch of 2.1 threads but i've been sifting around and I haven't exactly found my answer of what I was looking for...1) Where can I get the link/download or whatever? That is as bugless as possible?2) Are there any written instructions? A video?I've rooted my droid with the help of some guy from the droid portion of this side and it wasn't as hard as I thoughts could somebody help me out3) Is this rooting? What exactly is this method of getting 2.1 called Here is the only link i found but I am not sure about it just from a few reviews i read on it Eris 2.1 Tutorial: Updated 3/6/10 thekrtek.net I just want to know were their other avenues to go about this and any better instructions(i am trying to do mine, my brothers and friends)
IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK with the eris fam.
HttpClient 4 doesn't have that included anymore. The upstream project didn't integrate it from the 3.x client. I had to do exactly the same today. Basically I solved it by including some additional jars: mime4j httpmime This question was already on the list and there's some better explanation: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/msg/1ea124b384da9dc2 -- Urs My problem is that while i know what i have to include, i can't find a sensible download link for httpmime. the page points back to httpcore for downloads, but of course it's not in there any more (i checked). i was up for compiling it, but the source link takes me to the javadoc! something is definitely screwed up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot find download link on the applications page.
Example : ThinkFree Office Mobile
I try after signing on.
i successfully got into adb in recovery mode fairly easily on my ubuntu 10.4 laptop using the following method- this should also work for a linux live boot from a usb flash drive
in one terminal tail and follow log messages
~$ tail -f /var/log/messages
In another terminal run the loop
Then
1. plugin usb and keep it plugged in
2. remove battery, eject sd card.
3. put battery in
4. press vol- and power
5. after around 6 seconds, your terminal with the log will show something like "new high speed USB..."
6. press vol- to select recovery
7. press the power button
8. IMPORTANT- as soon as you see a new log entry (something like "USB disconnect"), pop in the sd card
check your loop terminal for adb. if it doesn't work, repeat at step 2
To make sure I get the most up to date one, can someone provide the link to download ADB. Is this the correct download link Android SDK | Android Developers ? Then just choose whatever platform I am running? Or is the SDK not the same thing....

I was just thinking that one day in the near future we will have Google operating systems on all of our devices i.e. phone, laptop, and tablet/pad. I am not sure what if any difference between Chrome and Android and how this will affect the likes of Microsoft and Apple. I believe that you can now download the complete Chrome operating system and install it on our laptops etc. See this link Google Android OS Now Available For Download. What are your thoughts on google operating systems.

Our site includes lots of top information so our homepage is a good place to start - just click on our logo in the top left to get to it. You can also use the search box at the top to find what you're looking for.
And if that doesn't work, the header and footer should help get you back on the right track.
I just installed motorola media link on to my computer and it is amazing. I think this is a must download for all Motorola owners. It allows you to easily download music, photos, and more either on your phone or onto your computer from your phone. It also allows you to create ring tones and send them to your phone. Its like itunes for the iphone.

Do the direct downloads work for you? They are on a different subdomain: http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r3-windows.zip http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r3-mac.zip [url]
I'd mirror them for you, but the license forbids redistribution.
