I have a ton of people in People (google) and 300 people in Facebook. All seem to link just fine. Except one person. She is in People (google) and in Facebook. Same exact name. If I open up People, she is there. If I open up Facebook friends, she is there. When I open up People, find her and try to link to Facebook, she is not there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue linking my wife to her Facebook profile in the contact "people." When she calls her number comes up. After I hang up, I try to "connect with person already in contacts" and it forces "People" to close. I tried to add her manually and it deleted it before my very eyes while I was within "people." I did it using the Google phonebook and not the phone's. Is there any issue with this, and what's the difference between the Google and Phone options (benefits, etc... ?).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know what exactly happened because I wasn't playing around with settings much. But I had all my contacts/people synced with facebook. The picture would show up but their statuses wouldn't update. And now the picture doesn't show up on a contact, it's not linked with Facebook anymore and when I try to link it says I have no friends..?
First question: Why wouldn't my contact's statuses update?
Second question: How do I link my people/contacts to Facebook again?
So i used BT and sent my contacts from my old phone to my EVO and it worked like a champ. Is there any way to link all my contacts to FB at once vs having to go into each one manually and selecting "Link", then selecting the "suggested FB profile"? I can do it manually, but I'm sure my battery will be dead by the time I'm done.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an incredibly annoying problem with my People contacts, where if I link a contact's Facebook account to their profile on my phone, People also decides to add in their phone numbers! This means I end up with duplicate phone numbers to choose from (for example, when selecting a contact to send an SMS to) or numbers that have been incorrectly added to Facebook by the contact (made up numbers or incorrect international dialing codes). All I want is to link the Facebook account and NOT have the contact details automatically added. The only contacts I have set up to view in People are my Google contacts - 'Facebook for HTC Sense' is unticked.

This is the exception details:
"Neither user 10057 nor current process has android.permission.INSTALL_PACKAGES". and i have set in my main app that permission in the manifest.

I want to intercept this in my code, so that I can get hold of the file and save it to whatever location I choose. Is this possible?
HttpClient 4 doesn't have that included anymore. The upstream project didn't integrate it from the 3.x client. I had to do exactly the same today. Basically I solved it by including some additional jars: mime4j httpmime This question was already on the list and there's some better explanation: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/msg/1ea124b384da9dc2 -- Urs My problem is that while i know what i have to include, i can't find a sensible download link for httpmime. the page points back to httpcore for downloads, but of course it's not in there any more (i checked). i was up for compiling it, but the source link takes me to the javadoc! something is definitely screwed up.

1. Download and re-name to update.zip
2. Turn your phone off, and then back on by pressing Vol-Up & End/Power until the phone starts.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Then press Vol-Up & End/Power again - you should get a short menu, one entry of which will say something about "sdcard:update.zip"; choose that.
5. After the update applies itself, reboot.
