Jun 4, 2010Everytime I try to open the camera is just displays a screen with something that looks like an iPod with a square coming out of the top right side.

Sep 17, 2010First off, my X is rooted, running the original leaked 2.2. This morning, my stock camera app stopped working. I click on the app to open it, and it flashes a black screen for 1-2 seconds before returning to the home screen. It was working perfectly fine last night when I took 20+ pictures. The strange thing is that I have done absolutely nothing as far as messing with the phone. Not even a single app downloaded for the past 2 weeks (been busy on vacation!). The hardware is fine too, because I can take photos with Vignette. A battery pull and about 5 restarts has not solved the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or is my only option to do a factory reset? Also, can I restore all my apps easily with titanium backup paid edition?

Sep 19, 2010I kept having problems accidentally backing out of the camera mode when taking pictures, then I discovered that if you hit the power button on the phone it will lock the camera "open" so that you can't accidentally hit another button while holding the phone to take a picture. Just hit the power button again to unlock it.

Jun 24, 2010This morning my camera and video camera would open and then immediately close down. I shut the phone down and rebooted. Camera still did not open. Next, I shutdown the phone and removed the battery. After a few moments, I reinstalled the battery and rebooted. The camera still would not open. I had to do other work, so I just set the phone aside for a few hours. When I came back, I tried the camera again and after a short pause it opened, but not as smoothly as in the past. It is still not opening as it should. First it displays a very quick view of the desktop with an error message. It goes too fast for me to read and then it opens the camera app.

I wrote a database helper class that gives me back results for common queries I make for my app, and it uses an SQLiteOpenHelper implementation I wrote to open the database. I use the open helper to open the database and get a cursor to pass to my CursorAdapter.

The problem I'm having, that I didn't have before I implemented the open helper (before I just opened the database directly without a helper), is when I click on an item, which takes me to another activity, and then go back to this activity. When it initializes everything is fine, and my list is populated fine, but when I go back from the activity that follows, the list is empty and in the LogCat I see "Invalid statement in fillWindow()".
It appears from a few post I've seen that the reason is, when I requery the cursor, the database is closed. But I'm not closing it! I'm scratching my head on this one.

We can't use the same application with different camera device dynamically. Jul 17, 2010So I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

Jul 25, 2010I'm Trying to fine tune the Camera settings and was wondering if you guys changed the settings around and got better Pictures/Video and what did you change your settings to? I'm more concerned about fine tuning the video Settings even though i know both the Camera/Camcorder share the same settings.

Sep 1, 2010Here are a few shots taken using both my Epic 4G and my Evo 4G.
1) I'm not a photographer
2) I used Vignette on the Evo 4G
3) I used both the Stock camera and Vignette for the Epic
4) The Epic pictures were taken while there was more sunlight out, the Evo was more in optimum lighting.
5) Neither has been retouched in any way
I also have 720p video shot with both phones, just don't know where to upload it yet.

Jan 5, 2013I have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

I downloaded unrevoked3 . When I tried to open it a prompt appears that says, ' you cannot open the application "Reflash" because it is not supported on this architecture'.
