View 18 RepliesWho's running it and what are your thoughts? I am running Myn 2.2 and kinda considering it. I've read the batt life is not that great. I'm getting super life on 2.2. What's different?
View 32 Replies View RelatedIs the best rom I have installed. It's very snappy. It's nicer than Fresh 3.3, imo. I can not seem to get my wifi to connect since I tried a NA kernel though...right now.
View 49 Replies View RelatedAnyone ran both and have info on which delivers the best batt life? I am on 1.7 and considering 3.2...however, I want to know it's better before I totally wipe...
View 24 Replies View RelatedIm looking for a super fast kernel to run with baked snacks. I dont care much about battery performance because i am near a charger quite often.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm running warm 2.2 RLS3 and just flashed Baked Snacks kernel #6. When I look at menu<about phone<software information<kernel version, is says 2.6.32.15HeroMod hero@hero-over #2. Is this correct? I would've thought it would say something along the lines of baked snacks kernel #6 or something.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwell im new to this rooting thing, my evo was sucessfully rooted then i started to look around for ROMS and Kernals and i see that baked snack 1.8 is pretty good so i downloaded it put it on my SD card, wiped my phone and cache and when it is opening the zip file that it is in, it says (BAD) and doesnt work, can somebody tell me what im doing wrong, btw i saw on the baked snack website saying that i need to have the lastest wimax update and newest radio, are these things im going to need or i have to make sure my phone already has those things.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been playing around with BS 1.8 and Myns 2.2 and i seen ups and downs with both with battery life so what you guys are getting for battery life either with BS 1.8 and myns 2.2 with king #11 kernel. seems like ppl from what little post i seen saying with the myns package with kings is getting great battery life like 14 hours and with medium or heavy use i got 14 with BS 1.8 with light to medium..so what are you guys getting with battery life and your set up i like to get medium use with great battery life. So show me ur battery life and lets the battel between baked snacks and myn start
View 26 Replies View RelatedI gotta say, after my first time messing with root and choosing my first rom as the Baked Snack 1.7, I couldn't be happier with it. I have an EVO and my wife has an Epic. As soon as she got her epic, I was immediately jealous of how smooth it ran. Well no more, as the Fresh Baked 1.7 improves performance and removes the 30fps limit making this thing run the way I wanted it to from day 1. So far everything on it is working, all the excess sprint stuff is gone, and it actually bugs less than the Official sprint build I was using before.
Keep up the good work devs, and whoever is interested in rooting, I recommend the fresh baked rom for sure. Although my comparison to other roms is non exist, to have the full feel of the phone as it was released with sense but running smooth is fantastic.
What kernel are you guys/gals using? My battery consumption is insanely horrible. I have tried a few, but it just gets worse!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI loaded Baked Snack Beta 9.7 ROM last night and have nothing but good things to say. It's over clocked to 1113 using Set CPU. The overall phone runs extremely fast and smooth and I have not had any FC's or random reboots. I also score approximately 1 MFLOP higher than Fresh Rom 1.0.1. Bottom line I am very happy and I had never even heard of this ROM until yesterday.
View 16 Replies View RelatedHey guys, I really liked the speediness of BS1.7 when I tried it yesterday, but I didn't like the subtle changes to the UI so I reverted back to the stock rom. Does anyone know if it's possible to customize a rom? My main gripe with BS was the bar at the bottom of the phone was changed from a gray/silver color to a transparent black. If I could change that and reinstall certain apps that weren't included (like Sprint Nav), I think it'd be perfect. If not, then is it possible to flash a kernel using the stock rom? I'm mainly trying to overclock the cpu.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed this tonight , and yes I wiped everything. I can't get tether to work. Any ideas? Also, where can I get this #6 kernel everyone is flashing over this Rom. I know its built in but i guess people are reporting it being more smooth with that flashed over.
View 15 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been successful with doing it this way? Seems pretty easy.

Let me know if it looks good .. I would have taken a screenshot but have to set up my email.
I'm rocking the HTC Evo (obviously) and am enjoying the deliciousness of Baked Snack 1.7 (with what I believe to be the #6 kernel). My one gripe with this ROM is that any music player I use (HTC, Stock Android, Music Mod) causes whatever track I'm listening to to restart randomly if I leave it paused for too long. I'm listening to audio books (Stephen King), so it's a pain to have to keep on finding where I left off. This happens if I let the screen go dark, plug in the USB cable, you name it. Does anyone know why this might be and if there's a workaround for it happening? The HTC player on stock Sense did not have this problem.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI used Unrevoked 3 to attain root and have flashed Baked Snack 1.7 onto my phone with Clockworkmod.
Everything seems to be well and good save for my phone is no longer detected by my computer. It will not accept a charge and will not detect as a removable disk.
I've updated to the latest WiMax update per instructions on Baked Snack's website.
Have I missed a step?
when I plug the cable into my phone, the "Select which type of connection to use" box appears for a split second then diappears. The battery is not taking a charge nor is the phone detectable on my computer. I've installed the hboot drivers prior to using unrevoked 3.
I recently installed this ROM and I am happy with it so far. There is just one glitch I noticed and I cannot remember if this happened at all on the stock ROM, although I don't think it did. When I'm done talking on the phone and pull it away from my fat head, the screen lights up like it should, but I cannot hit the END button for like 2-3 seconds. Shouldn't it "take" right away?

I am a NOOB and don't really know how I got Baked Snack. It's really a pretty sweet ROM but I'd like to go back to stock soon so that I can get the OTA Froyo update when it is officially released.
All of this stuff scares me but it really is awesome at the same time!
I'm looking to try out a few different kernels for my new Myn's warm ROM. Right now I'm using netachy-toastmod 4.1.9.1 CFS.Seems to work just fine, but I wonder if it could be better with say kings kernel. These and baked kernels seem to be the consensus for Warm.My question is what's the deal with CFS and BFS. What's the difference? I've searched and I'm having a hard time coming up with answers. I'm just wondering what I should be using.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi have been running CyanogenMod6 test8 for awhile now, and I really like it. only problem I've seen so far is the camcorder which they've already mentioned so I knew that going into it. I have also been using a hydra kernel from their website hydrakernel.net and just now realized that the camera does not work with this kernel. so, my question is, are they any kernels besides the stock one that comes with the CM6 ROM? also, does the stock kernel with CM6 have wireless N capabilities? also, my settings > wireless & networks > tethering and portable hotspots > wireless hotspot does not work. is this a CM6 thing or is it a hydra kernel thing? I restored my phone to CM6 with the stock CM6 kernel and the portable hostpot works just fine. so that answers that part of my question.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI always have gotten great help here - and for all the talk of wiping dalvik and other caches, I haven't found a straight forward guide for now to prepare my phone for installation of a new kernel.I've been on skyraider awhile, and put King BFS 4 on. I'd like to go to the new BFS 5 and see if it improves the battery life. Can someone point me toward a simple guide of how to prepare the phone for a new kernel? I know how to install it. What caches need to be wiped? Can it be done through clockwork? I've already done the nandroid backup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThere have been a few queries here and there about kernels which are noted as being overclocked by the developers of the ROMs they're used in.
Zach, the developer of the xtrROM series, tells me this about those kernels (when asked for clarification about them):
* A kernel that is capabile of being overclock does not mean the ROM is OC by default and you will have to review the devs OP to determine what they have done.
* Most DO NOT OC by default because they are using another devs kernels (there are only a few devs that know kernel code, I use Zanfurs) and
* IF it IS OC by default then you do not "need" SetCPU or other such app unless you want to use the custom profiles as you mentioned.
