Evo running rooted 2.1, waited for unrevoked to have an update to 2.2 or work with it so never downloaded the OTA update to 2.2 . Just tried to update to 2.2 to root it again with unrevoked - but because I have clockworkmod on there it won't work. can't figure out how to remove it to update to 2.2

Ive used two digital clock widgets but they both freeze the time and don't move sometimes. I'm looking for either a 1x2 or 1x4 that wont freeze.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm getting a weird problem. I'm transferring files from my computer to my droid. Now I think it may be my computer that is causing the main issue here. The transfer will just freeze in the middle of something and I have to reboot my computer to get a USB mount option back on my phone.
Last time though the freeze got so bad that I couldn't get my phone to actually power off. So I had to remove the battery while it was powered on. Does this sound like a phone issue that I should bring back to verizon? Or more a computer issue.
I'm here here and got my HTC Incredible last night (I'll refrain from making any incredible jokes, though it's far too easy given the amazingness of this phone). I've hit one small bug though, the camera will temporarily freeze when I take a picture and none of the menu options will pop up. It's only happened a few times, I was just wondering if anyone else has hit this same snag? Anyway I'm glad to be on here and hope I can learn a thing or two from you guys about this phone. I converted from an LG Dare and finally decided it was time for a real phone.

Other end kept ringing. No response anywhere on the phone. Soft keys would not respond--Nothing. Had to press power key and power off, then reboot.

If I open Maps and leave the phone sit for a second to where the lock screen comes on, the touchscreen stops working. I've been looking for someone with a similar problem but I haven't found anything yet. My phone boots up OK then it goes to the activation screen but after a couple of seconds (10 - 30, seems random) the phone hangs. When it's at the activation screen it seem to connect to the cell service (Fido) but R in the status bar would indicates that it's roaming (clue?). I have to take out the battery to reboot. It's a T-Mobile G1 that I'm trying to get working with Fido (Canada). It's a phone I bought used (activated but locked) but then I reseted it to factory default which deactivated it. I unlocked it. I tried to activate it through wifi. Followed the instruction and downgraded it to rc29. I've tried different rc, different roms, same thing.

I most certainly did not slam it down or anything.....just set it there gently like always. Also, I noticed that when my X is on the charger, every now and then it will freeze up and reboot itself.
View 49 Replies View RelatedHaven't downloaded a different camera app or anything, but when taking about every third or fourth photo my screen freezes up. And I mean over 20 seconds of wait time. The photo is there, but the phone isn't doing anything. I pressed menu, back, etc, and no response. Finally after pressing the top unlock button the phone wakes back up and loses the picture. My SD card is a class 6 - so shouldn't be having problems writing to it, correct?

Every time I go to try and delete the thread, my messages freeze and I have to force close and restart my phone. Anyone know of a way to delete messages another way? & I recently set my phone to delete after 200 texts. Would this maybe be causing the freezing does anyone think?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have a weird issue that my Incredible home screen is unresponsive when I plug it into a wall charger. Meaning that when it is plugged in I can tap the power button to turn the screen on but I can't slide or hit the home button to unlock. I have to unplug the phone to bring it out of lock mode.It seems to only do this when I use a cheap micro USB charger I bought off of Ebay ($2.50 shipped). When I went to the Verizon store they tried to replicate the problem with their Blackberry brand micro USB charger and the problem didn't come up.

I get this, which freezes my text messaging, every time I turn off my screen and then turn it back on to go to send a text. It's rather annoying, as it happens many times. I've read many other people having this problem, but their issue related to high volumes of stored texts. I deleted all mine, and the problem still persists. I turned off the phone and turned it back on, cleared the cache, and checked the task manager. I can't seem to find the issue. I have a Droid Pro running GB, and it happened just the other day. I only downloaded the Amazon Market App in the last few days I don't really want to download a free text app because I, personally, love the stock texting app.

I can still receive phone calls and connect it to a PC, where the PC recognizes the phone. Sometimes after 20-30 minutes the wakes up like normal when I press a button.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a problem with SwiftKey - the stock keyboard always shows up as the default after every boot, even though SwiftKey is enabled in settings. I read somewhere that a workaround is to freeze the stock keyboard using Titanium, and convert the SwiftKey app to a systems app. So my question is, how do I do that?

I know I can long-click on the correct entry in Titanium's App list to freeze an app, but specifically, what app name do I need to look for (is it Keyboard_english.apk?)
And how do I convert SwiftKey to a system app? I'm not even sure what this means. Do I just have to ensure it's located on internal storage (not SD card)?
I have several apps, paid and free, on my phone that I currently don't use. I could uninstall them, but I'd like to have them at hand in case I decide to use them again, and would rather not have to write them down or search for them again. Many of them additionally load automatically and have no options to turn that off, so I end up with a good 100M of RAM wasted.
I know paid apps will list as purchased in the market, er, Google Play, so I could easily find them again if I uninstall.
Is there any way to freeze apps so they don't autorun on my phone
I started rooting on SPRecovery with Nandroid and all was lovely, then I decided to start using ROM Manager. After the first time I got the repeating M start up. I then flashed it back to stock and got all of my stuff back. My only problem is that now the Android Home crashes anytime it starts, though Launcher Pro is fine and working awesomely. I also can't bring up recovery, it shows the phone with the gigantic "!" over it.

The phone seemed fine most of the day, then I installed three things.. a Background app to get a new background (found QR code on this forum), Advanced Task Killer, and Juice Defender. I installed Juice Defender first, then the background app, then ATK. I was in ATK when the freeze happened. I was stuck in it and I couldn't get out, but I could still activate things on-screen but the buttons were dead? I rebooted and removed ATK thinking that might have been the issue. About 20 minutes later though I turned it on to find the same problem. So I removed the background app. Now I just have juice defender... so far everything seems fine but I'm not 100% sure why it happened in the first place so it may just be a matter of time. I'm terrified to install any more apps.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo this morning, the alarm goes off on my Droid2 and everything is fine. About an hour later the screen froze and would not unlock or slide. It was absolutely frozen. I was using the stock charger last night. I took it by a Verizon store and the rep pulled the battery and then it started back up with no problem. The big problem is he took ATK (free pre installed version) and killed all the apps and proceeded to tell me how I had to do this. I said "dude, their was nothing running last night and I have not even downloaded any new apps, etc..." I just got the phone on Friday of last week. I really am not a fan of ATK and he tried to tell me if I don't do this, the phone will freeze.
View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday I rooted my phone and flashed BB 0.7.5 and I've had my phone completely freeze up, can't receive calls, buttons wont respond and I have to pull my battery to reboot the phone. I'm not sure what exactly is causing it, and it has only happened twice so far (both today). I wanted to ask if anyone else has had this happen. I have a nandroid backup of right before I flashed the ROM, should I roll back and try again or use a different ROM?

Battery is full...when the screen goes into standby is when it seems to have problems. Just started happening around 10:00am today. Anyone else having issues?

I got my Eris a little over a year ago, so it's out of warranty, and it always had the occasional problem where it would either freeze when the screen was off, so I'd have to do a battery pull, or I'd take it out of my pocket to find that it was restarting.
It went through a few phases where it did both of those things a handful of times per day, then it stopped for a while, then started, then stopped.
Just recently, it's picked up again, and this is about 2 months after I rooted the phone, and until now, it's been great rooted. I've only really noticed this again though since I switched from KaosFroyo to CelebFroyo, but again, I also had these problems BEFORE I rooted too.
