HTC EVO 4G :: Friend Stream Force Closes After Update
Jul 2, 2010My just force closes all the time starting this morning. I updated my phone the first day of the last software release with no issues. Just wanted to see if any one else has a problem as ny return time us coming up. Or if any one know how to reinstall that default app.

May 18, 2010I am having two problems since the OTA update. I am sure these have already been answered, but I am having trouble finding them. My first problem is that my swype is not working right anymore. It will let me type, but it will not let me swype. It says that this was configured for a previous version or something. Mar 24, 2010I have been running the old leaked version of 2.1 on my phone since the day it was leaked. Today I installed the "new" leak, and now when I restart my phone I get an error saying, "the process com.htc.bg has to close due to an unexpected error." Then it makes me force close the process. My questions are, 1) does anyone know what this process is for? and 2) How do you suggest I fix this issue? Should I re-download from a different mirror? I have already tried re-flashing the zip that I have on my sd card.

Feb 2, 2010where my calendar would force close several times a day (when syncing). I finally found a solution. I had installed android agenda widget a while back and that was causing the problem. I uninstalled it today, but the problem wasn't fixed until I cleared out the data in my calendar (menu, settings, manage applications, then click on com.android.providers.calendar and clear out the data) and re synced it with google. Just in case you are wondering, I then reinstalled android agenda widget and the problem returned. Uninstalled it again, recleared my data and now it syncs perfectly to my google account.

Jun 21, 2010Sometimes, after the phone has been in sleep mode for awhile, when I hit the power button to wake it back up and then the menu button (or swipe) to open the screen, I get that circular bar pattern followed by what look like the browser trying to launch. The screen is white, with a white address bar area, too. Then that screen goes back to the circular bar pattern, followed by the white browser screen again, after which it just closes. Very odd. Doesn't do it all the time. Seems to be random. And after a hard reset, sometimes the first time or two I use the browser, it just force closes on me. Again, doesn't do it all the time. (At first I thought I accidentally hit the home button, or something, but I didn't.)

Jun 13, 2010I took a long flight and put my phone in airplane mode. I got off the plane and it bounced out fine sent some texts and a call. The phone died that evening and has been stuck in airplane since the recharge. Will not go out of airplane and continually force closes com.android.phone. I'm in an area with extended network. If it makes a difference I'm on the 2.1 rooted version. Need Help. spending the summer in alaska working at a youth camp and this is kind of a pain with limited computer access and a messed up phone. Feb 18, 2010I've kind of made a similar post about this before. I keep having this issue where ill be txting someone and all of a sudden ill get constant force closes on my messaging app followed by it then losing all my threaded txts.
I'm using the native app with sms pop up and a sms widget that just makes my icon look like the eclair version.
I also sometimes have an issue where ill be txting, get a force close error and it will delete whatever txt I just received without being able to read it...

So I've started looking at the apps that are being killed before killing them to see if I could find out what is causing this but everything seems to be normal and I cant figure out why this is happening.
