Jun 5, 2010I know I have seen it but now I can't find it, it's how you change the default home screen to one other than the middle one , I know it is in the same setting as reducing the number of home screens to 5 but I have searched everywhere, it may have been on an app I have deleted, can anyone help?

Jul 27, 2010Can anyone with a Vibrant change their voicemail number in settings->call settings->voicemail->voicemail? I'd like to change it so when I speed dial 1 it goes to google voice. I called TM and they said I should be able to change that setting. I installed a new SIM, and I removed TM's visual voice mail. Out of ideas here. I'd at least like to know if it's like this on all Vibrants or just some Vibrants.

I've added another value to the THUMBS_IDS and IMAGE_IDS Integer arrays in the Wallpaper class for a total of four wallpaper options.
When I run the application with Device API version 7, Skin: HVGA, hw.lcd.density: 160, in portrait layout, the fourth wallpaper option is not shown.
I need to use the directional keys in the emulator to see the 4th wallpaper option, because the first option is centered.
I have modified only the wallpaper.xml file with a variety of android:layout_* options with no success at this point.
How do I show all four of my wallpaper options?
Motorola Droid :: Change Default Car Home In Car Dock
Dec 12, 2009I really like the car dock for the Droid, but I find the "Car Home" application to be very annoying.First, there are no options to customize it, and you are stuck with the shortcuts they think I want. Second, you can't even avoid it.I would be okay if you could just hit that home button to go to the regular home screen once everytime you get in the car, but the problem is that every time you end a call and try to go back to the home screen it takes you back to that car-home screen.Has anyone figured out a way to either disable this or select a different app to open when the phone is in the car dock?My ideal situation would be to have the ability to have the QuickDial app open everytime the phone is docked in the car (any have that come up with the home button is pressed while in the car).

Oct 29, 2010I have been trying to find a way of quickly switching off/on the Mobile Network setting from the home screen. When searching Google there's loads of pages stating that it is an HTC Widget that can be added. I have checked all the widgets on the Desire HD and cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am using an unbranded handset.
The Desire HD manual even states "You can also add widgets that allow you to quickly switch on or off certain settings of your phone, such as Wi-Fi, Mobile Network...".
Does anyone else with an HD handset have this widget ?

Oct 9, 2010Okay so here is another strange thing I noticed with the update.2 of the 3 phones that got the update now have a little home icon on the bottom of one of the touchwiz screens when you are in the edit mode. This page with the home icon can now be moved to whereever you want it in the positioning of the 1-7 screens you have and when you click on the "home" key at the very bottom it will go to that screen. Previously there was no home key and your home screen was either the middle or far left screen depending on the number of screens you had.

I just want to view the site in my internet browser the same way as I can on my computer but when I am on youtube and I choose the Desktop view at the bottom of the page it just reverts back to Mobile view instead. I've disabled all the settings in my browser that convert sites to mobile views etc etc. It only does it on youtube and I cant stand the youtube app on my phone. I don't want any other apps or anything like that I just want to view it like I do on my comp.

Apr 14, 2010Does anyone know how to change the default email app to use when selecting a contact with an email address? I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend fiddle with my phone while I was setting it up, and she chose mail instead of gmail for sending to email addresses AND pressed the 'always use this option' tab, so now I can't fingure out how to change it back - I know that under the 'always use this option' tab there was a message telling you how to change it, but I didn't get to read what it said before she pressed accept! Now whenever I press on a favourite that has an email address associated to it it takes me to the POP email screen, and I don't have a POP email account! How can I switch it back to gmail?

I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.

Jul 7, 2010Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Now, because of the new features added to Open Home i want to switch back, and every time i open 'Open Home' it only opens until i hit the home key. Then it does not ask me what i want to use as my default as it used to. I went to settings>applications>manage applications>open home to clear all defaults but it is not highlighted for me to select it. How can i set Open Home to my default again?
