I am new too the driod era and have and HTC desire. I have downloaded lots of apps and am trying too figure out how too get them onto the HTC from my PC. Its prob quite simple and am just looking for someone too point me in the right direction!

I bumped into a guy I know the other day and happened to notice he had a HTC desire. We had a brief chat about it and he showed me some of his apps. He had an app that can control torrent downloads on your PC. I forget what it was called. This would be a usefull app.

I have transdroid right now, and it is able to communicate with my seedbox and I can manage torrents that are already loaded on there. My problem is adding new torrents from my private websites. I have noticed that torrent-fu will allow you to search some of the public websites for new torrents, but that doesn't work for me. Right now I have to download the .torrrent file with my default browser.
And it saves the file as "unknown.torrent" then I have to open it with transdroid. This question is worded weird, but basically what I would like, is a torrent app with built in private torrent site searching / downloading. Or the ability to have my dolphin browser, recognise the .torrent extension, and associate transdroid with that.
Does anyone know any good torrent sites that have the latest .apk files. I've just got the htc desire and looking to put some decent apps on it.

When I install the application onto my phone, it downloads the file correctly and loads the information, no exceptions thrown or anything. However, when I upload the apk into the Android Market Place and download it onto the phone, the application downloads the database and then crashes, saying that the sqlite handler was not able to open up the database.

I'm new to any touch screen phone technology and got my HTC Hero yesterday. I've played around with it and followed the instructions in the leaflet it came with. I have managed to use it to open up webpages including my usual email provider/facebook and have bookmarked them. I have inserted my numbers into the address book (and managed to sync with facebook for photos/birthdays), send SMS, make phone calls but that is it! In simple terms: how can I find apps and download them, does it always work through WiFi, how can I take things off the homepage (I have managed to install the (empty) playlist to the homepage but cannot remove it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've just synced my Desire with my PC and tried putting some pictures and some music on to the SD card. Only 5 out of 18 pictures transferred and only 5 of the albums from 14 I selected. Also one of the albums seems to have been split into 4 'albums' with 3 of them containing only 1 track. Tried mounting the Desire as a drive rather than using sync, the images have all moved over but the music still seems misfiled or something. I'm using Cubed as my player. Is there a better option or do I need to something with my mp3s? I hope it's not an issue with tags as I want about 4gig of music at the moment and I don't want to have to go through each track checking/amending the tag for each.

Got my desire today I bought the ultimatejuice for the juice defender app and it installed on the phone , now if i have to wipe the phone can i save ultimatejuice app i paid for so i can install it again.

My impression is no, but I don't recall if documentation says that explicitly or if its just implied. Would like to know from someone who has tried it. I don't want to experiment with my app.
Steps to change Title. Go to Developer Console->click link for the app->Look for Listing Details-> Change the Title ->click Save
I have just bought a new 32 GB SD card. Made a folder on my PC and copied the content of the original SD card to folder. New folder on PC says contents 950 mb. Original SD card in Desire is 2.6 GB used space. What have I missed. Is there a better way to transfer content of Old SD card to new. What is RAW format? (Format of old SD card in phone.)

If I drag all the data from the old SD card to my computer and then back over to the new SD card, will that keep all the setting form the HTC backup settings? All was going smoothly until recently when my Market downloads suddenly started hanging, both free and purchased ones. I have internet connection - no problem there. The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I recently converted from googlemail to gmail. Could that have any effect? Anyone have a suggestion as to how I might fix this short of a total reset of my phone to factory settings?

I figured out that it would be a good start to get the newest versions of all those applications and widgets that make trouble, but when I try downloading anything using Android Market, the downloads get stuck at "Starting download...", apparently indefinitely. I have seen that others had this problem too, but I could not find a solution yet.

View 15 Replies View RelatedDo a lot of downloading of mixes etc on my phone and find that a lot of the time if I leave it the download fails. If I sit there and touch the screen now and again to stop it switching off then it works every time. Its over wifi btw.

i have found that my apps go to the phone by default and not sd card.

I've seen apps that can do one or the other but it seems like the ultimate would be to do both. Anything like that out there? A pipe dream still? Sounds like a hell of an idea for a dev out there.
