I have birthday details for some of my contacts entered into my googlemail account.then I click Phone from the home screen and then select the a contact the Birthday section under information shows one day earlier, e.g. birthday set as 25th August shows as 24/08. Is this a known bug, and if not how do I report it to HTC?

I am Using Sony Xperia Mini on Android 4.2.2. The Problem is Google Calendar Doesnt Show the Birthday Events Which i have added in Contact Details. It shows only if add manualy any event. I have ticked all the options under Account Sync. Still the Problem Persists. And Strangely This same problem Occured even in GB,IC,JB even CM too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Google Contacts I've entered birthdays and subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Google Calendar.They show up as intended in Google Calendar but in my phones calendar they're all listed twice. Unsubscribing from the contacts birthdays calendar makes both disappear, so they're not from some other calendar.Is this a bug in the Galaxy S calendar? Any solutions?

I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

Could this affect the message ordering? Assuming the phone orders them by time sent?I may have answered my own question but I thought it would be smarter than that!

Getting my location on google maps using mobile networks only puts me in Stockholm, and so nothing location based works. Very frustrating.GPS eventually gets me back on track, but I dont' keep this on all the time.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI imported all my contacts from Outlook 2007, and this included birthday info and (wedding) anniversay info for various friends and family.
However, I can't seem to find a way to link this info (which is in the contact info) to the built in calendar on the Desire, which is quite annoying as I would like to be able to browse through my calendar and easily spot upcoming birthdays etc.
I spent a fair while setting up my screens and finally got to putting in my contacts last nite. I entered my contacts manually one by one on the phone itself using the add contact on the people menu. This was all fine until i checked my phone this morning. All of the people I added to the contacts whose birthday i also added to there contact details have disappeared. It is only the people who i entered there birthday though, in otherwords all the important people. Have i done something daft (quite possible) or is this a glitch?
View 2 Replies View RelatedKind of annoying having the little arrow to say there's an event on practically every single day on the HTC Calendar widget. This wasn't the case before the other day so I'm assuming it's a 2.2 thing, not sure though.
As far as I can tell there's no way to hide them either, and it was done automatically. Just because I have a person on my FB doesn't mean I care so much when their birthday is. It dilutes my calendar and means I can't tell when my actual important things are happening
And don't say "use another calendar app", I'm otherwise happy with this, it's simple and does what I need of it
As the title says really, as from tomorrow, all my facebook friends birthdays are showing as double, all birthdays pre today are still showing as single.... Now i really do need a fix to this, cos it is gonna cost me a packet if i have to get everyone double gifts and cards.....

I want to sync the Birthdays already saved to my contacts to my Calendar.
I don't use Gmail other than for the Marketplace and I don't have Facebook sync'd.
Ideally I'd have reminders on the day of the Birthday.
Does anyone know how you can get the birthdays in the contacts onto the calendar without actually typing them all in again? Is this even possible? Seems like a logical thing to be able to do.

The issue i wanna discuss here is that my phone does not sync the birthdays from my phone contact details to the calender, as it was availabe in my previous phone HTC Touch diamond, i used to feed the birthday details along with the contact and it syncs those birthdays with the calender when i used to sync it manually with the help of computer. But no such option is availabe in Android. please don't reply with the 'synching birthday contact and events' from google calender. I've seen loads of forums on that , but that ain't related to my problem. i want synchronization of my phone contact's birthday details to the phone calender.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI added the birthday to a contact the other day but it didn't appear in my calendar on the phone, even though I have the Google 'Contacts' birthdays and events' enabled and it has worked fine in the past.
To cut a long story short when I add a birthday a new entry is created in the Google calendar but it doesn't appear on the phone even after multiple syncs. The only way to get it to appear (or to get the test ones I tried, to disappear) was to remove the calendar from the phone and then add it again (Calendars>Menu>Remove----Menu>Add).
I do not know how but for some reason the phone numbers in my contacts (People) list are now displayed in US format instead of UK i.e. 123-456-78910 instead of 12345678910. When sending an SMS and i load up the contacts list BOTH the US and UK formats are displayed. I have tried deleting all my contacts and reimporting them from a back up on the SD card but no change. I have also tried to change the view settings of the list in case its my google contacts showing but it shows 0 contacts for google but 149 for the phone, i only have half that. I have used HTC Sync Google sync recently, could these be the problem? If so how do i fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried sync-ing my contact book for my facebook contact updates but it showed no updates even after a few days, but my contacts do have updates on actual Facebook.So I thought I'd try to delete off my account from Accounts&Sync and re-add my account again after a few minutes.After re-adding the account, my friend stream works fine, sync-ed as per normal but when I click on my contacts book/people and tried to link my contacts to their facebook, it showed a blank list and words in the middle showing "No matches found", in other words, I don't have friends?I waited for a hours and tried to re-add and sync again but still can't link my contacts to their facebook because it doesn't show up any facebook link for me to link to my contacts no matter how I try.I resetted my phone back to factory defaults and tried again but it's still the same.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust got my 1st smart phone last week (Desire) and to be honest i am still not sure what to think of it. One of the problems that i have been having is that when i start a text message and go to put the contact in all of my contacts are duplicated, even though this is not the case when i open up the People folder. Is there any way that i can get this to return to normal? Each of the duplicated contacts in the messages widget has a blank face next to it and the other has a picture of what looks like a sim card.

My pictures are good quality pics that i saved to my sd card & then i just added them while creating contacts etc. is their a easy fix to this? i also have a app that lets you display a full caller id photo when your being called but it does not look good right now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
The result (builder) is set as text to a TextView. It works just fine if the span is surrounded by text, i.e. when the start > 0 and the end < length - 1, but the image is cut off (shifted up) if there is no text around it. how do I fix that?

I have a method that detects for a face, if a face is detected, the method will draw a rectangle on a canvas along the face.That part works fine.The problem is, when it displays to the image_view in my xml file, it will display on the far left middle of the image view, in a box, rather than in the center with the width as fill_parent.I thought of a possible workaround : to set the bitmap as a bitmapdrawable, but canvas only draws to bitmaps, so I can get the bitmapdrawable in the middle, but with no red box around it.I commented out my testing of bitmap drawable, and left it as what I have now...it only displays to my xml in the far left of the image_view.

Am using the HTC Hero on 3 (UK) network - every now and again it decides to lose or update the voicemail number it dials when I press and hold the #1 key. Have reset it more times than I care to remember.

If this is a repost, sorry, please give me a link to a solution.The problem seems to go away when I shut off the screen and then turn it back on again. However, I sometimes have to do this three times in order to type a single sentence text. I did a hard reset earlier today and it was fine for a few hours. It seemed to come back after I installed some of the apps I had before it was reset. I've read that there was an issue with the earlier Evos about the screen not being grounded, but this seems more of a software issue to me. Anyone know what I can do?

Don't know why, but after I launch application the image appears to consist of several parts that actually form "smooth transition" of gradient, and that's why it seems that background image is not a gradient.

For languages such as Arabic, morph transformation is also required that is not done correctly either (or at all!).This is also obvious when using Facebook App on Android to read posts in LTR languages, which is completely messed up and totally illegible.Can someone from Android OS address this? (Settings => "About phone" => Status ) - as the SIM number before my "previous 'phone" number was PAC'd and ported... The PAC transfer happened about 3 weeks ago.,... The phone appears when calling anyone else as my transferred number, rings when called as the transferred number, ... but the beast reports the original, old" number. As it happens I've also done a "Factory reset" on the N1 ... Weird... so everything works as it should do, but the number is miss-reporting...
Any suggestions...e.g. ????
a) It's just one of those things, deal with it..
b) It's a known Android bug, deal with it...
c) It's a Nexus-One special, deal with it...
d) Oh! New one, report it to Mssrs Google...
