General :: Recognition Device XTOUCH X401?

May 4, 2013

I own and use a mobile phone model XTOUCH X401 with Android 4.0.4 on board. and kernel3.0.13. The mobile phone was root but for a subsequent issue I have reported it to factory state, obviously the system has been added to what they had. the state restore factory I deleted the app and SuperUser does not allow me to have the recovery mode as well as administrator permissions. When I attempted to remake the Root I encountered the problem that my PC (but also others) did not recognize the phone in debug mode to the root. I changed my PC I used wires but nothing more. Of course I downloaded the drives from the official website of XTOUCH but also from other sites to verify the integrity. I also downloaded the drive for geerali MTK6575 with the same result. What can I do, but mostly where I'm wrong?

PS. It also happened a month ago and after 3 days display came itself. But now it's been more than a week and no sign of display. PPS. I also changed the battery but the problem persists.

General :: Bilingual Voice Recognition?

Mar 23, 2012

Is there a setting in Android (available in version 2.3) or an app that allows for bilingual language input? I'd prefer if it would allow words from two languages to be spoken at the same time, but I suppose having it automatically switch languages per "phrase" would work too. I know the TouchPal keyboard can do bilingual text input, but it would appear it doesn't work with bilingual voice input.

I have searched all over Google to try and find what exactly it is that I need to install on my Wildfire to enable this app, and a couple of others, to recognise my speech. Android :: Parameterize Speech Recognition - Speech.action.recognition Speech - Does Not Do Anything

Aug 2, 2009

How to I properly parameterize the speech recognizer so that it can more easily recognize the words that the user will probably say?

As far as I can tell there is no way.

I believe this site is wrong: http://www.4feets.com/2009/04/speech-recognition-in-android-sdk-15/

CODE:............

Will give a hint to the recognizer that you might say those words. However, it appears to do absolutely nothing. It also conflicts with the google documentation which says:

"An ArrayList of the potential results when performing ACTION_RECOGNIZE_SPEECH. Only present when RESULT_OK is returned." This hints that the array is a return value NOT an input.

To test this out try adding: ArrayList< String > potentialResults = new ArrayList< String >(); potentialResults.add("cumin"); and try to get the speech recognizer to recognize it. You will find it very difficult.

How to properly control the speech recognizer?

General :: Broke Voice Recognition While Texting?

Sep 12, 2013

For 2 years I've said a few words, waited for the droid to process them, said a few more words, waited, etc. About a month ago something happened such that if I pause in my speech, what I say next deletes everything I've said before and starts over.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. To say this is braindead is an understatement.

I can adjust to just say what I want to text, but heaven forbid I pause a second or so to gather my thoughts.

General :: Offline Voice Recognition - Android 4.4.3

Jun 6, 2014

I am coming from Windows Phone and everything went smoothly during the transition. However, I miss some useful functionalities I had with WP that I really miss on Android, like offline voice recognition and SMS reading.

I was using voice recognition in my car (where data connection is bad and unstable from which it is necessary to have this functionnality offline), I was saying "call [NAME]" and it triggered the phone call with confirmation of the command.

I would like to do the same thing with my Nexus 5 but I didn't find a way to do it. I downloaded the language pack for my language (French) in the parameters. Is it possible?

Anorther point is the reading of the SMS (texts). When a headset (wire or bluetooth) was connected to my WP, my phone was able to read aloud the content. Is it possible with Android?

General :: How To Get Google Personalized Speech Recognition To Enable

Oct 3, 2012

I AM able to turn on "personalize speech recognition" via the settings in voice search, but on my google dashboard the speech section is missing and I see no evidence that google speech recognition accuracy is improving in any way. Ive tried clearing the app data and enabling search history without success.

I have only 1 gmail account linked to this phone and everything pertaining to that account (calendars, app store, etc.,) is updating correctly.

Im running ICS stock rom on a rooted HTC vivid with ATT service. I have voice search 3.0.1. The app store only has version 2.1.4. Id gladly uninstall 3.0.1 and install 2.1.4 from the app store if it would fix this problem but im worried uninstalling voice search could cause additional problems.

General :: Where Offline Speech Recognition Language Files Stored

Mar 2, 2013

But before we engage in arguments on the politics of actively hiding the file system to computer users and restricting access to their devices... WHERE Google stores its Offline Speech Recognition Language Files?

I accidentally discovered that Offline Speech Recognition seems to have been bundled with Google Search somehow because if Google Search is disabled, so is Speech Recognition and looking at Google Search in Application Manager, one can notice that the data storage is proportional to the size of the downloaded language files, but so far have been unable to locate where on the device these files are stored, so that they don't need to be downloaded again.

Since the 2.2 update I am having a terrible time getting it to accurately recognize 50% of my speech. Is anyone else having this problem or did they just remove 'hillbilly' dialect? I am running the unofficial .3 version.

where do I put this in my code, do I have to create a new class for it, or can I have it in an inner class, or does it not need a class at all?! I have a set up similar to Lunar Lander which comprises of two files, one of which is a thread that handles pretty much all the physics and drawing of the game. The other file begins the thread and saveInstanceState method. Furthermore, what type is mLibrary?! I cannot find out anywhere! I imagine I will put the OnGesturePerformed method in my thread as this is where I handle all keyUp and Down events.
