I'm trying to make my first custom ROM with Aroma Installer, but when I'm trying to open the zip file, i get the following error:

I'm trying to set up Aroma Installer for my own Custom ROM. When I try to flash the ROM, it shows all but when i had nearly finished it let me choose Installation Demo and other options. This will flash the ROM or it will show me what will happen without flashing it?
If it is only a demonstration, what I have to do to flash the ROM definetly?

i'm using a note 2 phone and im going to dual boot it using devil kernel but it doesn't support aroma installer so i wonder if there was a way to convert the aroma rom (Resurrection Remix PitchBlack EDT JB V1.0.1) to a normal installer.

My ideal place to get to is to eventually provide the community here with custom roms and mods which everyone can enjoy on their devices, just like what all the greats devs do here day in day out.... but before I get there, I'm on a path of discovery. At the minute, I want to take a XDA dev's already pre worked ROM, go in to it and change a few things up.... edit the apps, maybe play with a few apks, change the ringtones etc, and then resign the ROM and flash it to my device.

They seem to be geared towards someone working on a windows machine. I dont want to do it in Windows, I want to do it in Linux... I dont wish to use "CygWin" and I would rather do it manually than use a kitchen - I could easily follow these guides in Windows and achieve my stated aim of a slightly modified custom ROM, however, the overall goal here is to acquire knowledge, and enjoy the process as it goes along.
Now, my current understanding under Linux (Mint 13) is that I can download a recovery flashable Zip, go in to it, and just change up some of the files as I desire.... but then I get confused when it comes to repackaging the ROM prior to flashing it to my device. How would I go about doing this?
My government gave us galaxy (10.1) tablets instead of books. But unfortunately this tablets's OS is not a normal android 3.2; It has been customized and we can't access many applications or other thinks. And anyone cannot see programs and widgets tab without any permission. This permission will give students's tablets by teacher ('s tablet). So, students can't play anything in the lesson but when it is over, stundents can play anything what they want.. Teacher will give the permission before leaving class..

I made an Aroma flashable zip that contains all of the popular superuser apps. The problem is, it gets to the install phase and nothing happens. It just says that its installing for a few seconds and then, without any output, it finishes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a stock android 2.3.6 and here are the steps I tried:
- Unlocked my N1 (through fastboot)
- flashed the RA recovery image (through fastboot)
- Wiped the device.
- Copied the Evervolv-Perdo-2.2.0a5-passion-aroma.zip to the SD card
- Booted in recovery mode and installed Evervolv.
After reboot, the blue X animation just sits there rolling and rolling. It's been 25 minutes since I rebooted and the main screen doesn't show up.
Has anyone had any luck making custom shortcuts in Launcherpro? LP's shortcut forum is long on requests and short on answers/methods for making useful shortcuts.

I have a custom drawable, where I draw a base bitmap image, then part of an image over the top of that that is clipped to a certain rectangle. For the overlayed image, I am trying to blur the edges, and I thought I could accomplish that using a BlurMaskFilter, however, I'm not seeing any blurring occurring.
Here is the content of the draw method from my Drawable class.The result is almost correct, except the overlay image is not being blurred.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used RelativeLayout for a custom implementation of a ListAdapter and I am not sure if I can continue using this or if I need to use TableLayout. In the first example I have the text positioned as I would like by using one image view and one text view containing the book name and the author name. However, I want to style the author text differently so I think I will need two text views. In the second example I have added another text view but it floats to the right. Second eg is Clipboard02.png. How can I make the second text view go under the first text (as in eg 1). I have done this in code rather than using XML layout.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Qmobile A10. i rooted it long ago and it's working. I used font installer (root required) and used a font.. rebooted then it worked. When i opened my phone, i installed another font after that uninstalling font installer. Then it asked me to reboot.. Then it kept showing this logo for qmobile a10 when opening the phone. Awkwardly, it didn't start for a very very long time.. I left it open for 4 hours, then 1 day. Then a day and a half. I though that i should probably connect the phone to my PC and take out the new font. But it's not showing on "My Computer".
Any cool games that suits qmobile a10?*

Is there any way of installing an app through any other means than clicking on the .apk file in the folder?
Would it be possible to manually extract the apk archive and move the files to appropriate folders somewhere in /root/?
Cyogenmod installer shows my galaxy s3 lte version bought at Tmobile as unsupported device and wont work. The installer currently supports all Qualcomm-based variants of the GS3 (d2lte).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI know making a real unremovable app is impossible, but I hope I'll be able to find a way to make an app harder to remove.I want to make some kind of parental protection app. it should be installed easily without much technical knowledge ( preferred that it will work on unrooted devices). the app should be hard to remove or disable by the phone user.who ever installed the app should be able to remove (probably with a password in the app settings).
I don't care if technical users will be able to easily remove the app.I also don't care if the users will know that the app is installed on their device.I guess the simplest solution will be to some how hide the app from the app drawer.I saw some where that Cerberus has that option but I guess it requires a root.
another solution might be if there is an option in the android os itself setting an admin password that will not allow the user to install or remove any apps without the password.

Like Facebook whatsapp screenshot etc. In the picture i hope you can see the distance in the white clock color and the slightly off white Facebook. How do i change these? I was able to change the clocks using xposed modules. I think I'll have to edit some images? I'm not sure where to find them or what to do.
